The Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library partnered with the library as part of a continued MLK Day of Service in January 2023 and donated a Little Free Library to the PADS site in First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights. Guests can take a book to read, keep it or bring it back.

“During this season of service and giving, we are glad to stand out for our community and bring light in the lives of those affected by homelessness,” said Friends of the Library representative Allison Anderson.

Foundation Annual Appeal Campaign

Become a new or continuing donor and support the AHML Foundation’s 2023 Annual Appeal. Library staff would like to offer youth additional opportunities for development, play and exploration beginning at birth. One unique way to serve the library’s youngest customers is with a safe and stimulating play space just for kids. Several area libraries have developed “baby gardens,” enclosed and accessible play spaces for small children and their caregivers to engage in play together. This year the Arlington Heights Memorial Library Foundation is supporting this project in updating Kids’ World at the main library.

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that provides support to the library by securing and managing donations from individuals, businesses and foundations to support the library above and beyond what public funding provides. To support this or other library services, visit the Foundation website at ahmlfoundation.org/donate, where a drop-down menu lets you select what you want your donation to support, or send a check to: AHML Foundation c/o Treasurer 500 N.
