Parent’s Night Out

Drop of your little ones at Frontier Park for a night full of fun! Children will have the option to participate in games, crafts, and other activities planned by our certified babysitters. (EO)

Amazing Minds Enrichment

Go on an incredible journey with Amazing Minds after school! Instructors will help sharpen your skills in math, science, geography, language arts and reading through fun, hands-on thematic based activities. Science will come alive through our exploration of rocks & minerals, flight weather, health and safety; explore math learning about money, geometry and shapes; travel to China, Ancient Egypt, Italy, Washington DC or Australia. Explore the Animal Kingdom and dive deep into the oceans. Take home fun topic related souvenirs too! (EO)

Learn to be a super sitter! Classes will cover child development, emergency and first aid training, activities to do with young children, and how to grow your personal babysitting business. (EO)

Chess Scholars

Develop your child’s intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children’s motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive reaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. (EO) Arlington

Feeling Frozen? Frosty the Snowman Lab- Kids Life Coaching

With the anticipation of returning to school after the holidays, along with general life stressors, kids will relax and 'defrost' as they learn up to 125 ways to manage worries. Much like when Frosty realized the sun was getting hot and he had to strategize, we will learn to hear our personal warnings 'sirens' too. Class will culminate with a celebration of our new skills by making a batch of homemade science snow that kids can keep. We will also enjoy designing a Frosty the Snowman treat. (EO)

Glitzy Girlz: Annual Holiday Memories Gift Boutique

Join us for a memorable night with your sons/ daughters and celebrate the spirit of the season making gifts! Staff will assist in this unique class with each couple, designing and decorating, and wrapping surprises. Each couple makes and takes home 3 adorable gifts of wood, ceramic, and beading/jewelry with paints, embellishments, stickers and more. Wrapping paper and gift bag decorating to conceal gifts before the holidays will be available. (EO)

Glitzy Girlz: Girls Night Out Get Pampered Spa Divas

Come join Glitzy Girlz for a night out with the gals! Each girl is welcome to come in their PJs. Staff will pamper girls with a fun hairdo and sparkle. We will teach a mini mani/pedi, along with nail polish, sparkle, neon and pastel colors! A nail brush, cuticle stick and buffer will be a take home present with nail polish and a jewelry glam bag. The night will end with some music and fun dancing to disco lights. (EO)

Halloween Gore-Tastic Hour: Life Coaching Lab for Kids

Investigate what makes Halloween so chilling in this electrifying S.T.E.M workshop. Kids will have fun with weird and horrifying Halloween concepts like puking pumpkins, fizzing ghosts, static witches, blood & bruises, and more ghoulish Halloween exploration! Kids will have a blast; they won’t realize they are building self-esteem, boosting their socialization, and acquiring new concepts. Themed souvenirs included! (EO) Camelot

Home Alone Safety

Grinch Goo-Tastic Holiday Slime

Kids will have the slime of their life creating seasonal Grinch inspired slime. We will develop the soft skill of perseverance as we take the steps and patience needed to form stretchy slime. This time our concoction lab will include all the colors of Christmas, Grinch hearts and 'ornaments' as mix ins, along with winter scents that will make you feel like you are in the Grinch story! Imagine your slime smelling like marshmallows fireside, pine trees, candy canes, cranberry cheesecake, or box of holiday chocolates. We will also play a slimey game to catch the Grinch before he steals our Christmas. Every participant will go home with the slime they made. (EO) Camelot

Participants will learn all about home alone safety including: safe snacks, household rules, stranger danger, house key safety, phone, fire and weather safety. They will also learn basic first aid and “what if” scenarios. Additionally, we will review emergency contacts, and knowing when to contact emergency professionals. (EO) Frontier

Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing tricks from the “Magic Team of Gary Kantor”! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. (EO)

Spooky Thrills & Chills: Fall Ice Cream: Kids Life Coaching

We are building self-esteem through ice cream this fall season! Making and eating ice cream is a fun way to introduce early chemistry teachings to children and helps build confidence. Think flavors like Autumn Apple

Cider Donut, Monster Mash Marshmallow, Creepy

Clown Cinnamon, and Gooey Gummy Worms! Then sit down for the most outrageous ice cream eating contest in town. Did anyone say BRAIN FREEZE? Don't wear your Sunday best, we will get sticky! (EO)

Join us right from your living room as we explore new cultures and learn the French & Italian language via the interactive Zoom platform! Each session covers new material. Program Highlights

CAP is a cooperative program between the Arlington Heights Park District, the Village of Arlington Heights and School Districts 21, 25 and 59. Weekly themes, arts & crafts, sports & active games, outdoor play, homework/reading time, board and card games, team building activities and breakfast/snack time offered daily.

Hours of Operation

Opens at 7AM until school begins and after school until 6PM. Program includes any early releases or half days. Coverage is also available on most full days off of school for an additional $60/day (requires separate registration).

Winter Break Camp

Formerly called Holiday Day Camp

Join in on the fun of camp activities over winter break! Registration opens this fall for Holiday Day Camp. Details on dates & fees can be found online. Camp will meet at Pioneer Park from 8AM-6PM on Tuesdays through Fridays the weeks of December 26 & January

Locations

This quality recreational before and after school program is available on-site at Dryden, Greenbrier, Ivy Hill, Juliette Low, Olive-Mary Stitt, Patton, Poe, Riley, Westgate and Windsor Schools for Kindergarten5th grade. Kindergarteners are eligible to participate on a limited basis at District 25. Remote sites for Westgate and Olive students are located at Pioneer and Recreation Park for a full time option only.

CAP 2023-2024 Registration

Registration for the 2023-2024 school year opened on May 1 for new families. You can find the registration form online. Registration closes on July 31. Registration will not reopen until September 5 with a CAP start date of September 11 or later. A $60 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration once you are confirmed in the CAP program.

Payment Options

• Pay in full and receive 5% discount

• Payment Plan: $60 initial payment with 9 payments deducted on August 1, 23- April 1, 24
