Soccer Skills

Designed with speed and agility drills to improve each players’ game by allowing for a more powerful shot, increased range on the field and efficient change of direction. All basic skills of dribbling, shooting and passing will be covered and expanded upon. Please bring water bottle, shin guards and size 4 soccer ball. (KK)

Camelot

Learn To Bowl: Improve Your Game

This 6 week bowling class will teach you the basics of the game, as well as improve your current skills. You will learn the approach process, scoring, etiquette and bring it all together in a good effective finish. Classes are held at Beverly Lanes. Located at 8 South Beverly Lane. (EO)

J Dreams Basketball Camps NEW!

This program will introduce your child to the game of basketball if they are beginners or if they need to know how to get to the next level. Basic skills of dribbling, catching, passing, shooting and defense will be taught. New individual challenges will be presented to develop the importance of reaching goals. Modified basketballs will help reach the next level. Lesson plan also incorporates pivoting, closeouts and jump-shots. (JD)

Camp 101

Volleykidz Grass-Court Camp NEW!

It’s time to take your volleyball game outdoors to the grass. A weekly class hosted by the Volleykidz USA that features all of the latest drills and training techniques that build your skills for the next level. A lot of contests and games too, with fun and active instructors! The camp will concentrate on the fundamentals of passing, setting, over-hand serving and spiking. You will learn to overhand serve and play organized games. The lesson plan directs individual training that helps each student reach a new level. (JD)

Camp 201

Volleykidz USA

Volleykidz is an introductory class. The lesson plan introduces the pass, set and spike using a very light volleyball. Improve each child’s hand/eye coordination and left/right coordination through the use of fun drills and games. Lesson plan incorporates short educational drills including spelling, math and science. Jr. Volleykidz USA

Improve your volleyball skills with 90 minutes of drills in setting, passing, overhand serving and spiking. The lesson plan directs the use of individual training, pairing drills and game situation development that helps each student reach a new level. Instructors organize short games at the end of each class. The lesson plan also incorporates leadership and educational components. (JD)

Volleykidz USA Camp NEW!

An introductory and challenging lesson plan. A lot of contest and games too, with fun and active instructors! The lesson plan develops passing, setting, overhand serving and spiking. Volleykidz athletes will be divided by age and ability level. Canceled classes will be made up on Friday. (JD)

Adventure Camp

Adventure Camp has three popular stations- archery tag, kayaking/paddle boating and fishing. This two-day camp gives participants hours of basic instruction in each activity. A list of required items will be sent before camp. (KK)

Adventure Camp Plus

Spend the week kayaking, fishing, enjoying nature activities, playing archery tag and other camp games. (KK)

Zombie Apocalypse Survival Camp

Spend five days learning all the necessary skills to survive a Zombie Apocalypse! Students will learn outdoor skills, emergency preparedness, & leadership; all while getting physically fit and having a blast with friends. Class will include “Nerf” games, boating and a zombie outbreak. (KK) Lake Arlington

Extreme Fishing Camp by Chicago Fishing School NEW!

Get ready to catch a lot of fish! Anglers will have fun fishing, learning about the history of fishing and great shore fishing tackle. Campers will learn speed fishing from World Record setting Johnny Wilkins of Team USA. All fishing gear will be supplied with bait and tackle. No outside fishing tackle. Appropriate for all levels. Bring a cap, sunglasses, sunblock, water bottle and snack. (KK)

Women’s Warrior Week

Spend a week becoming a women warrior! During warrior week girls will learn outdoor skills (including fishing & boating), leadership and emergency preparedness. This camp meets requirements for both Scouts BSA and Girl Scouts outdoor badges/badge components. (KK)

Skyhawks Camps

Skyhawks provides a wide variety of fun, safe and positive programs that teach lessons in sports and life, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive experience in sports while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. Our patient and knowledgeable staff use a variety of skill-building drills and activities to give each athlete a complete understanding and overview of sports.
