Ossa M.A.R. This 1973 Ossa MAR (MK1) has been completely rebuilt by John Glimmerveen (former NYT/About.com classic motorcycle writer and international race engineer) in the winter of 2017/18. Every part was checked/cleaned and restored or replaced as required. The engine and gearbox received new bearings, gaskets, and seals throughout and was re-shimmed to factory specs. The cylinder was honed and measured at running clearance to factory spec. This bike has done 10 trials since rebuild (one win, two second places with novice). Recently fitted: Powerdyno electronic ignition ($360), Spanish muffler ($245), Aluminum tank – made in the UK ($450), new cables, front and rear wheel bearings, new modern brake shoes.
