It is estimated that nearly 1,638,910 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed in 2012. In addition, the American Cancer Society estimates that about 577,190 Americans are expected to die of cancer this year. This equates to approxiamtely 1,500 people being diagnosed a day, making Cancer the second most common cause of death in the United States.

Completely volunteer driven, this event’s main focus is to raise funds, celebrate the survivors, remember those who have lost the fight against cancer, and to continue to spread the awareness. Here in Weston, FL, the Relay For Life is ranked as the #1 Relay in Broward county (based on the amount of funds raised and the amount of participants) and the #4 Relay in the entire state of Florida.
