LAPO ELKANN PENSA AL FRANCHISING Lapo Elkann ha inaugurato il primo spazio di Garage Italia Customs, la sua impresa con la quale vuole dare un tocco di stile tipicamente italiano ad auto, moto ed altro ancora. La location è l’ex isola Agip di Piazzale Accursio di Milano, un ex stazione di servizio. Sono in via di definizione accordi per aprire filiali in franchising di Garage Italia Customs anche all’estero, dagli States a Dubai, passando per l’Oman. I marchi di riferimento, non saranno unicamente quelli del Gruppo FCA, come egli stesso precisa. “Abbiamo trattative aperte con BMW, Mercedes ed altri marchi statunitensi”.

SNAIDERO SALES FRANCHISING TO GERMANS The agreement for the sale of the majority stake of franchising division (FBD) of Snaidero Group to the German Industrial Group Nobilia has been signed. This operation will allow Snaidero to find financial resources to rebalance its own structure and support a delicate growth stage of its own brands, both on the domestic market and the international markets, which are getting more and more crucial. Snaidero Group Franchising Division (FBD) has been one of the most important assets for the Group, with a constant growth of both turnover and profitability.

NEROGIARDINI, BENE FATTURATO E INTERNAZIONALIZZAZIONE Fatturato in crescita del 5%, potenziamento della rete commerciale, ampliamento della sede di Monte San Pietrangeli, formazione e nuove assunzioni con il corso di operatore della calzatura Cfp “Artigianelli”. Primo semestre 2015 decisamente positivo per Enrico Bracalente, amministratore unico di B.A.G., proprietaria del marchio di abbigliamento e calzature NeroGiardini. Da due anni NeroGiardini – che può già contare su 60 i punti vendita monomarca (tra diretti e franchising), un centinaio di shop in shop e oltre 2 mila negozi multibrand – si sta espandendo verso i mercati esteri che, oggi, rappresentano il 20% del fatturato.

l suo sogno era lavorare a contatto con la natura esplorando gli oceani e magari vivere in un’isola tropicale portando a pescare i turisti su un magnifico yacht. Un segreto che Luca Polvara, presidente della Holding H2A alla quale fa capo la società che possiede il marchio Fiorito, condivedere solo con chi lo conosce veramente bene e che ha deciso di rivelarlo anche con noi in questa lunga intervista nella quale, oltre a raccontarci molto di sé, ci spiega anche come è nata l’idea di occuparsi del mercato del fiore creando il marchio Fiorito.

Ottimista, intraprendente e pronto a capire in anticipo mode e tendenze, Luca Polvara, nato a Lecco sotto il segno del Leone del quale possiede molte qualità e contemporaneamente cittadino del mondo, è riuscito ad unire il genio imprenditoriale alle sue passioni vivendo sempre una vita intensa votata al bello, alla classe e all’eleganza che gli ha portato sempre grandi soddisfazioni sia sul piano personale che su quello professionale senza fargli rimpiangere mai niente, tranne AZ FRANCHISING 9

forse quella sperduta isola tropicale che sognava da bambino. Un’infanzia felice, il padre era un industriale e la madre una semi casalinga, come lui stesso la definisce. Un fratello più grande con il quale è cresciuto a Lecco con la canna da pesca in mano e la bicicletta attaccata al tallone. Oggi, dedica molto tempo anche alla sua famiglia attuale anche se confessa che un po’ tutta la famiglia ne risente dei suo numerosi impegni lavorativi. La moglie i i figli comunque sono le cose più importanti della sua vita.

Qual è stata la più grande soddisfazione nella vita personale e nella vita lavorativa?

“Nella vita personale sicuramente la nascita dei miei figli. Nella vita professionale provo grandissima soddisfazione ogni volta che raggiungo un obbiettivo”.

Parliamo della sua storia professionale prima di Fiorito.

“Da quando ho iniziato la mia attività ho sempre fatto l’imprenditore, non ho mai lavorato per terzi.

Ho due periodi importanti, dall’88 fino al 2000 e dal 2000 in poi.

Sfruttando un momento storico particolare, quando nel 1987 è entrata in vigore l’obbligatorietà del casco, per gioco iniziai ad importare dei caschi dalla Spagna. Quest’attività nel settore motociclistico ebbe in breve tempo una crescita esponenziale. La mia azienda all’epoca crebbe molto. Creammo un brand specifico e aprimmo due negozi pilota. Da lì partimmo con una catena di negozi monomarca in franchising iniziando così anche la nostra esperienza nel mondo del franchising. Nel 1999 abbiamo ceduto l’azienda e dopo qualche mese di riposo è nata l’idea di creare un’attività che fosse più leggera dal punto di vista dell’impegno sia personale che economico con una 10 AZ FRANCHISING

persona che è l’attuale mio socio.

Abbiamo iniziato con l’accompagnare nel loro sviluppo delle aziende estere, specialmente francesi.

L’abbiamo fatto per anni e lo facciamo tutt’ora. Quando abbiamo iniziato ad avere delle partecipazioni finanziarie in queste aziende è nata l’esigenza di creare una Holding che sia chiama H2A della quale sono presidente”.

E arriviamo quindi a Fiorito.

Come e quando è nata l’idea di Fiorito?

“Noi abbiamo una filiale a Parigi e ci vengono continuamente segnalate delle opportunità di business.

Nel 2009, incontrammo un imprenditore, presidente di un grosso gruppo quotato in borsa nel mondo del fiore, che ci offrì l’opportunità di intraprendere insieme questa attività. Abbiamo così costituito una società mista che ci vedeva in quota di maggioranza che si occupava dell’attività di vendita nel campo del fiore in Italia. Dopo un po’ di tempo abbiamo capito che potevamo ormai camminare con le nostre gambe conoscendo ormai le dinamiche dell’attività, specialmente quelle logistiche che sono importantissime perché si tratta di un prodotto fresco, e abbiamo continuato ad investire fino ad arrivare a costituire la società “Verde 50” a cui fa capo il brand Fiorito che stiamo sviluppando con una rete di negozi. Oggi siamo votati allo sviluppo in modo continuativo stiamo valutando l’impianto di vari “corner” in aree organizzate del mercato italiano e tra non molto debutteremo anche con la vendita on line, direttamente al consumatore mentre stiamo valutando anche la distribuzione all’estero” Cos’è esattamente Fiorito?

“Innanzi tutto Fiorito è un negozio di fiori dove vengono venduti fiori recisi, piante e accessori. Stiamo

parlando di negozi con una vastissima gamma di prodotti. C’è una grande offerta sia per quanto riguarda la varietà dei fiori e delle piante. Per quanto riguarda gli accessori facciamo una grande ricerca. Ci piace considerarci come un negozio dove viene offerto un prodotto di lusso ma un lusso accessibile. Questo è uno dei punti di forza, ovvero democraticizzare il prodotto. Per quanto riguarda gli accessori cerchiamo di proporre offerte sempre nuove. Abbiamo una linea di ceramiche e di cristalli di qualità importante che si accostano al fiore. Ad oggi abbiamo circa nove negozi, altrettante aperture imminenti che avverranno nei prossimi mesi e molte trattative in corso”.

Perché consiglierebbe di scegliere Fiorito?

“Fiorito è un buon investimento perché ha alle spalle un gruppo importante, solido e affidabile”.

Qual è la lezione più importante che la vita le ha insegnato?

is dream was to work in contact with nature exploring the oceans, and maybe to live in a tropical island, taking tourists to fish on a wonderful yacht. A secret that Luca Polvara, president of the Holding H2A, which controls the society which owns the brand Fiorito, shares only with people he knows very well. Anyway, he decided to reveal this secret also to us in this long interview, where, beyond telling a lot about himself, also explains how he developed the idea of entering the market of flowers creating the brand Fiorito. Optimistic , enterprising and ready to understand in advance fashion and trends, Luca Polvara, born ln Lecco, shares many qualities with Leo its Zodiac sign. He has managed to combine the entrepreneurial genius to his passions, always living a full life devoted to beauty, class and elegance. His life has always brought him great satisfaction both personally and prefessionally, with no regrets , except perhaps the tropical island in the middle of nowher he dreamt when he was a child.

A happy childhood, his father was an industrial, his mother a “semi-housewife”, as he describes her. He grew in Lecco together with his older brother. His tool was a fishing road, his vehicle a bike.

Today, he spends a lot of time also with his actual family, even if admits that all the members of his family suffer a bit of his many work commitments. Anyway,

Let us talk about your professional life before Fiorito.

“I’ve always been an entrepreneur, I’ve never worked for others. I have two important periods, from 1988 to 2000 and from 2000 onwards. Exploiting a particular historical moment, when in 1987 it came into force for the compulsory helmet, I started for a laugh to import helmets from Spain. This activity in the motorcycle industry sharply grew in few time. Quest’attività nel settore motociclistico ebbe in breve tempo una crescita esponenziale. At that time my company grew a lot. We created a specific brand and opende two bullet points. Since then we developed a franchising chain of one brand shops., so we also started in this way with our experience in the franchising field. In 1999 we sold the company and rested for some months. Then, I with a person who is my present partner developed the idea of creating an activity which was supposed to be softer from the point of economic and personal effort.

We started to sustain foreign firms, especially French companies, in their development. We have done it for years and we still do it. L’abbiamo fatto per anni e lo facciamo tutt’ora. When we began to have shareholdings in these companies we felt the need to create a Holding, which is called H2A. I am its President”.

So, it is time for Fiorito. When and where was the idea born?

“We have a branch in Paris and we are

In 2009, we met an entrepreneur, president of a big group, which was listed on the Stock Exchange Market in the field of flowers. He wanted us as partners in this opportunity. So, we created a mixed society, where we had a majority stake. We were responsible of sales in Italy in the field of flowers. After some time we understood that we were ready to go on by ourselves, as we had learnt the dynamics of the activity, especially the logistic aspect, which are very important because it is a fresh product.

We went on investing and we created the society “Verde 50”, which owns the brand Fiorito we are developing with a shop network. Today we focus on the continuous development, we are evaluating the creation of “corners” in organized areas in the Italian market. We are going to start with the e-commerce, products will be delivered directly to the consumer. Finally, we are evaluating the possibility of distributing our products abroad”.

What is exactly Fiorito?

“First of all Fiorito is a flower shop where we sell cut flowers, plants and accessories. We are talking about shop with a very broad range of products. We offer lots of varieties of both flowers and plants. We search for the proper accessories with great attention. We wish to be considered as a shop where you can find luxury but affordable products. This is one of our strong points: we make the product affordable for everybody. With respect to the accessories we always try to offer new products. We have a line of high quality ceramics and crystals which match the flowers. Today we have about nine shops and just as many next openings. We have also many negotiations in progress”.

Why would you suggest to choose Fiorito?

“Fiorito is a good investment because it is backed by an important, solid and reliable group”.

What is the most important lesson you learnt in your life?

“Never give up!”

Il Ministro dello Sviluppo Economico sta provvedendo a sostenere l’export sia sul fronte interno, sia sul fronte estero, puntando prevalentemente sulla grande distribuzione organizzata

i parla spesso delle imprese stranieri che vengono in Italia a fare “shopping” .

In effetti, le cronache sono piene di operazioni finanziarie attraverso le quali brand prestigiosi del nostro paese passano di mano a holding o gruppi di investitori stranieri. L’ultimo caso in ordine di tempo è la vendita della catena di gelaterie Grom agli anglo-olandesi di Unilever, per intenderci quelli che negli anni 70 avevano già comprato un altro pezzo di storia del food italiano, Algida.

IL MADE IN ITALY FA GOLA AGLI STRANIERI Però per una, grossa, azienda italiana che viene venduta a capitali stranieri ce ne sono tante, grandi, medie e piccole, che decidono di internazionalizzarsi. I mercati esteri, infatti, costituiscono un terreno più fertile rispetto a quello locale e un grande potenziale di crescita non ancora sfruttato. Perché puntare all’estero?

Perché il Made in Italy ha grande appeal oltralpe e permette di essere sfruttato da grandi imprese e Pmi come volàno di crescita. E questo sarà possibile anche grazie ad una serie di stanziamenti che, per il 2015, ammontano a 160 milioni di euro. Il Ministro dello Sviluppo Economico sta provvedendo a sostenere l’export sia sul fronte interno, attraverso il finanziamento di eventi fieristici o a voucher che consentano alle piccole e medie imprese di accedere a management specializzato nell’export a costi ridotti, sia sul fronte estero, puntando prevalentemente sulla grande distribuzione organizzata.

L’ITALIA NELL’ECONOMIA INTERNAZIONALE Secondo l’Ice, l’istituto governativo che si occupa della promozione all’estero delle imprese

italiane, la ripresa delle esportazioni si è tradotta nel 2014 in un nuovo incremento della proiezione esterna dell’economia italiana, misurata dal rapporto tra esportazioni di beni e servizi e Pil. Parallelamente è aumentato anche il grado di penetrazione delle importazioni sulla domanda interna, che tuttavia rimane il più basso tra i maggiori paesi dell’euro. Esistono dunque ancora dei margini di ritardo da recuperare, in termini di apertura internazionale del sistema economico, al fine di stimolarne la capacità di sviluppo. La presenza produttiva all’estero delle imprese italiane appare comunque ancora inferiore al potenziale, con una leggera diminuzione nel 2014 delle partecipazioni italiane in imprese estere. “Questa flessione ha interrotto una tendenza positiva che si era manifestata anche durante la crisi, testimoniando la maggiore rilevanza acquisita dall’internazionalizzazione produttiva nelle strategie di un numero crescente di imprese italiane” sintetizza il rapporto “L’Italia nell’economia internazionale” dell’Ice. IL VANTAGGIO DEL FRANCHISING NELL’INTERNAZIONALIZZAZIONE Per andare all’estero il franchi-

sing rappresenta una soluzione ottimale per due ordini di motivi. Perché permette all’azienda di svilupparsi senza l’impiego di capitale estero e perché, grazie a particolari accordi consente all’impresa stessa di affidarsi a investitori e/o affiliati in loco e che quindi conoscono meglio il mercato del posto. L’azienda che voglia operare all’estero dovrebbe compiere una prima ricognizione a livello globale, studiando direttamente o tramite strutture esterne le potenzialità del mercato distributivo. La prassi prevede la costruzione di schede-paese con gli indicatori economici, ma questo risulta insufficiente per comprendere se il mercato considerato va inserito nella rosa dello sviluppo: occorre analizzare innanzitutto il rischio-paese e attribuire un rating, poi confrontare questo dato con la capacità di fare innovazione del Paese o dell’area tramite i dati di investimento in Ricerca&Sviluppo, indicativi dell’introduzione di marchi e brevetti e della loro diffusione, ed incrociarli con i dati tendenziali del mercato a livello consumer e a livello trade. Solo con questa maggior definizione del singolo Stato in termini di potenzialità attuali e prospettiche si potrà scegliere tra le carte a propria disposizione. © RIPRODUZIONE VIETATA

e often talk about foreign companies which go shopping in Italy.

Indeed, the chronicles are full of financial operations through which holdings or groups of foreign investors buy prestigious Italian brands.

The last case is the sale of the chain of ice-cream parlors Grom to Anglo-Dutch Unilever, which in the 70’s had bought another piece of history of Italian food, Algida.

MADE IN ITALY IS TEMPTING TO FOREIGNERS But for one big Italian company bought by foreign capitals, there are many big, medium and small ones which decide to go internationalize their business. Indeed, foreign markets represent a more fertile ground than the local one and a great growth potential not fully exploited. Why going abroad?

Because Made in Italy has a great appeal and can be exploited by big companies and SMEs to prompt the growth. And this will be possible also thanks to a series of allocations which sum to 160 million euros for 2015. The Minister of Economic Development is working to support trade both on the domestic market, through the funding of fairs and vouchers which allow small and medium enterprises to get access to management specialized in trading with small expenses, and the international market, relying mainly on the mass retail channel.

According to Ice, the public institute which promotes Italian companies abroad, the recovery of exports led in 2014 in a new increase of the external projection of Italian economy, measured as the ratio between exports of goods and services and GDP. At the same time, also the degree of penetration of imports on internal demand has risen, however it is still the lowest in the Eurozone.

So, our country still needs to make up for delay on some margins, in terms of international openness of the economic system, in order to favor development. Anyway, the productive presence abroad of Italian companies still appears lower than the potential, with a slight drop in 2014 of Italian participations in foreign firms. “This decline interrupted a positive trend seen even during the crisis, demonstrating the greater importance acquired by the internationalization of production in the strategies of a growing number of Italian companies” (Ice’s report “Italy in the international economy”).

THE ADVANTAGE OF FRANCHISING IN THE I NTERNATIONALIZATION Franchising represents an optimal solution to go abroad. This for two main reasons. It allows the company to grow without foreign capitals and it permits, thanks to particular agreements, to rely on investors or affiliates on spot, who have a better knowledge of the local market. The practice involves the construction of country sheets with economic indicators, but this is not sufficient to assess whether the considered market should be listed in the set of development: we must first look at the country risk and assign a rating , then compare this with the ability to innovate of the country or area through data investment in R & D , which are indicative of the introduction of trademarks and patents and their diffusion , and cross them with the data trends of the market at both consumer and trade levels. Only with this deeper definition of the single country in terms of actual and future potential we can choose the best investments to make.

ITALIA CHIAMA ESTERO Domino’s Pizza in Italia Il colosso della pizza americano, conosciuto soprattutto per le tempistiche di consegna, Domino’s Pizza è sbarcato a Milano, in quella che è la prima tappa dello sviluppo italiano. La formula scelta è quella del master franchise che aprirà in forma diretta fino a fine 2016, poi dal 2017 saranno aperte le affiliazioni. Per venire incontro ai gusti dei consumatori italiani, la pizza avrà delle varianti nostrane. Il primo negozio milanese è in zona Bisceglie, il secondo sarà in zona Navigli, mentre il terzo sarà aperto in provincia di Milano, nella popolosa Sesto San Giovanni.

ITALY CALLS ABROAD Domino’s Pizza in Italy The giant American pizza, best known for the delivery time, Domino’s Pizza has landed in Milan, in what is the first stage in developing Italian. The formula used is that of the master franchise that will either directly to the end of 2016, then 2017 will be open affiliations. To meet the tastes of Italian consumers, the pizza will have homegrown variants. The first store is in Milan’s Bisceglie, the second will be in the Navigli area, while the third will be opened in the province of Milan, in the populous Sesto San Giovanni.

L’obiettivo è di arrivare alle sei aperture russe e alle tre cinese entro la fine del prossimo anno.

Intanto l’azienda ha dato il via alle nuove proposte nel campo delle calzature, degli accessori e delle borse.

FOREIGN COUNTRY CALLS ITALY Via Pearl in Russia and China The network of clothing stores Pearl Street announced a new development plan that envisages a further expansion in the markets of Russia and China, which already account for about 70 percent of the brand’s sales. The goal is to arrive at six openings in Russia and three in China by the end of next year.

Meanwhile, the company kicked off the new proposals in the field of footwear, accessories and bags.

lo sviluppo anche ai mercati internazionali. La collezione autunno – inverno riafferma l’italian style e la qualità a prezzi competitivi, con qualche piccola novità, come ci racconta in questa intervista Luciano Caracci, responsabile per il franchising dell’azienda.

Parliamo dell’assortimento autunno/inverno e della scelta di linee e tendenze.

Quali sono le linee guida che avete seguito quest’anno?

“Quello che l’azienda si prefigge è mantenere un’assoluta convenienza quindi il rapporto qualità prezzo che non deve mai venire a mancare. Questo è il postulato iniziale. Quest’anno la scelta che abbiamo fatto sul nostro assortimento è stata quella di curare particolarmen-

te la parte fashion. Noi abbiamo uno zoccolo duro di capi basic che abbiamo anche rafforzato negli ultimi anni, ma per andare incontro all’esigenza di maggiore rotazione e di freschezza dell’assortimento abbiamo aumentato la presenza del nostro prodotto fashion”.

Qual è il vostro target ideale e quali sono i criteri di scelta che avete seguito nella creazione della collezione?

“Il nostro target ideale è la famiglia giovane. Quindi i criteri di scelta sono stati diretti verso la moda attuale con capi basici ma sempre aggiornatissimi. Noi abbiamo un ufficio stile che è aggiornatissimo sulle linee guida della moda definite dai top players”.

Parliamo ancora di qualità?

“Il pronto moda è un qualcosa che si realizza prevalentemente in Italia, nei poli più importanti in Toscana e in Campania. Stiamo parlando di un prodotto italiano e noi puntiamo su quello, sul Made in Italy. Naturalmente come tutti abbiamo anche un prodotto di importazione ma la novità è che il prodotto italiano sarà in netta prevalenza su quello importato, proprio per l’impronta fashion delle nostre collezioni”.

Esistono delle differenze tra le varie zone d’Italia per quanto riguarda i gusti e lo stile? E questo, eventualmente, come influisce?

La nostra azienda ha un sistema logistico molto elastico. Abbiamo la possibilità di diversificare l’invio delle merci nelle varie zone d’Italia. E’ la filiale stessa che ha la possibilità di scegliere i prodotti più affini ai gusti del loro territorio. In Italia però non pensiamo e creiamo la collezione basandoci sui gusti del territorio come invece avviene per l’estero”.

Quali sono i vostri progetti futuri?

“Sicuramente lo sviluppo della rete sul territorio nazionale ma anche internazionale. Questo è il nostro obbiettivo primario con una serie di aperture sia dirette che in franchising e poi la futura campagna di comunicazione che è in studio e che deve essere all’altezza della precedente che ha riscosso un grande successo dandoci grande notorietà.

Ci siamo resi conto che non ne possiamo assolutamente fare a meno visto anche che in futuro l’azienda sarà presente con dei punti vendita anche nei centri città, cosa che fino ad oggi non è stata nelle nostre strategie”. © RIPRODUZIONE VIETATA

he winter is coming and all major brands related to fashion have just launched the autumn - winter collections designed to meet the tastes of their audience, more and more aware and sensitive to new trends. Even Piazza Italian launched his collection that rests on its established strengths in years of continuous growth. Since 1993, the year of its inception, the company in fact has become a solid reference point for the fashion retail. The highly dynamic approach to business and courage in business choices have won the confidence of consumers, achieving an important development both in terms of turnover, in terms of both stores open. With this formula, Piazza Italy increased its presence throughout the national territory, both direct and franchise, and then extend the development to international markets. The autumn - winter collection reaffirms the Italian style and quality at competitive prices, with a few novelties, as he tells us in this interview Luciano Caracci, responsible for the franchise company.

We talk about the set fall / winter and the choice of lines and trends. What are the guidelines that you have followed this year?

“What the company aims is to maintain an absolute convenience then the value that must never fail. This is the initial postulate. This year the choice we made on our assortment has been to treat particularly the fashion part. l Marocco si sta progressivamente affermando come porta d’accesso all’Africa. Negli ultimi undici anni, l’interscambio tra il Marocco ed il resto dei Paesi nel continente africano è aumentato ad un tasso medio annuo del 13 %.

UN PARTNER COMMERCIALE IDEALE PER L’UNIONE EUROPEA L’Unione Europea è il più importante partner commerciale del Marocco e sono già vigenti accordi di liberalizzazione degli scambi nei comparti dei prodotti industriali e dell’agricoltura, che hanno eliminato i dazi doganali in numerosi settori merceologici. Il Marocco esporta verso la UE principalmente abbigliamento, prodotti agricoli, parti meccaniche e componenti

per mezzi di trasporto. L’Accordo di Libero Scambio Completo ed Approfondito (ALECA) tra il Marocco e l’Unione Europea, permetterà di portare a termine il processo di liberalizzazione già in atto ed innalzare il livello di interscambio UE - Marocco, favorendo anche la competitività dei prodotti marocchini sul mercato europeo. Secondo la Commissione Europea, l’ALECA apporterà all’UE ulteriori benefici stimati in 1,4 miliardi di euro, con un impatto positivo sui flussi commerciali.

Per quanto riguarda l’Italia, l’interscambio commerciale con il Marocco nel 2014 si è attestato alla cifra di 2,18 miliardi di euro, di cui 1,530 mld. di export italiano e 0,656 mld. di export marocchino. Pur in aumento

del 12 %, l’interscambio commerciale tra i due Paesi non ha ancora raggiunto i livelli pre - crisi (2,29 miliardi di euro nel 2008).

Le esportazioni italiane verso il Marocco, anch’esse aumentate del 12% nel 2014, sono consistite principalmente nelle seguenti categorie merceologiche: macchine ed apparecchiature (307,3 milioni di euro), prodotti derivanti dalla raffinazione del petrolio (197,8 milioni), motori, generatori e trasformatori elettrici (80,7 milioni), prodotti chimici (79,3), tessuti (77,3), autoveicoli (54,9), articoli in materie plastiche (52). I principali prodotti marocchini importati dall’Italia sono stati nel 2014: pesce, crostacei e molluschi (141,3 milioni di euro), abbigliamento (85,7), autoveiAZ FRANCHISING 21

coli (74,5), apparecchiature di cablaggio (72,7). L’Italia è il 6° fornitore estero per il Marocco, con una quota del 5,3 % nel 2013. In base ai dati di fonte Istat, nei primi sei mesi del 2014, si registra una flessione nell’interscambio tra i due Paesi e nelle esportazioni italiane verso il Marocco (- 4,3 %). Risultano invece in aumento del 5,7 % le importazioni di prodotti marocchini in Italia. Il Marocco è per l’Italia il 45° cliente (quota dello 0,4 % delle nostre esportazioni) ed il 59 ° fornitore (0,2 % delle nostre importazioni).

IL QUADRO GIURIDICO PER IL FRANCHISING IN MAROCCO La legislazione marocchina non stabilisce un quadro giuridico specifico riguardo il franchising. Tale settore in Marocco è caratterizzato dall’autoregolamentazione tra le parti.

Le informazioni precontrattuali non sono oggetto di una legislazione. I rapporti tra le parti essenzialmente sono disciplinati dalle normative in tema di contratti e l’accordo bilaterale di franchising. Pertanto, il contenuto degli obblighi rispettivi del franchisor e la controparte marocchina è 22 AZ FRANCHISING

quasi interamente determinato dalla volontà delle parti.

La Federazione Marocchina di Franchising - FMC, fondata nel 2002, ha adottato un codice deontologico equivalente a quello europeo. Questo codice prevede un’informazione precontrattuale tra le parti. Tuttavia, esso non ha alcun valore giuridico.

Esecuzione e risoluzione del contratto: In assenza di una normativa specifica, il contratto di franchising è disciplinato dalle norme di legge ordinaria. Di cui all’articolo 230 del D.O.C (legge di obbligazioni e contratti).

Il Marchio: La tutela del marchio è attualmente regolata dalla legge n. 17-97 modificata dalla legge 31/05 in materia di tutela della proprietà industriale.

Questa legge stabilisce nel suo articolo 16 che qualsiasi invenzione può essere oggetto di un titolo di proprietà industriale, rilasciato dall’organismo responsabile della proprietà industriale. Questa legge comprende anche i marchi commerciali o di servizio e insegne commerciali. La titolarità del marchio viene acquisita dalla sua registrazione presso l’Istituto

Marocchino della Proprietà Industriale e Commerciale (OMPIC). Questo diritto di proprietà si estende ai beni e servizi coperti dal proprietario del marchio.

orocco is increasingly being used as a gateway to Africa.

In the last eleven years, trade between Morocco and other African countries has been increasing at annual average rate equal to 13 %.

A PERFECT COMMERCIAL PARTNER FOR EUROPEAN UNION European Union is the most important commercial partner for Morocco and trade liberalization agreements are already in force in the sectors of agriculture and industrial products. Such free trade agreements have eliminated customs in many commodities sectors. Morocco exports to EU mainly clothes, agricultural products, mechanical parts and components for means of transport. The Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) between Morocco and European Union will allow to complete the liberalization process already in place and to raise trade between EU and Morocco, favoring also the competitiveness of Moroccan products on European market. In according to the European Commission, DCFTA will bring further benefits to EU, estimated in 1.4 billion euros, with a positive impact on commercial flows. With respect to Italy, commercial trade with Morocco in 2014 was 2.18 billion euros, of which 1.53 billion euros of Italian export and 0.656 billion euros of Moroccan export. Despite an increase by 12% trade between the two countries has not still reached pre-crisis level (2.29 billion euros in 2008). Italian exports towards Morocco, which also increased by 12% in 2014, consisted mainly in the following commodities categories: machinery and

equipment (307.3 million euros), products derived from petroleum refining (197.8 million euros), engines, generators and transformers (80.7 million), chemical products (79.3), textile (77.3), motorcars (54.9), plastic items (52). Italian exports to Morocco decreased by 4.3%, however Italian imports of Moroccan products increased by 5.7%. Morocco is the 45th customer of Italy (share of 0.4% over our exports) and the 59th supplier (0.2% of our imports).

LEGAL FRAMEWORK FOR FRANCHISING IN MOROCCO Moroccan law system does not provide a specific legal framework for franchising.

This sector in Morocco is characterized by self-regulation between the parties.

The pre-contractual information is not subject to the law. Relations between the parties are essentially governed by the regulations on contracts and the franchise bilateral agreements. Therefore , the content of the respective obligations of the franchisor and the Moroccan counterparty is almost entirely determined by the parties’ will.

The Moroccan Franchise Federation – FMF, founded in 2002, adopted a code of conduct equivalent to the European one. Execution and resolution of the contract absent a specific law, franchising contract is subject to ordinary laws,

of which at the article 230 of D.O.C. (law of obligations and contracts).

THE BRAND Brand protection is actually governed by the law n. 17-97, modified by the law 31/05, concerning the protection of industrial property. This law states in its article 16 that every invention can be object of a recognition of industrial property, issued by the institute responsible for industrial property. This law comprehends also commercial and service brands and commercial signs. The ownership of the brand is acquired with its registration at the Institute of the Moroccan Industrial and Commercial Property ( OMPIC ) . This right of ownership extends to the goods and services covered by trademark owner.

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND USEFUL LINKS Morocco is one of the recipient countries for facilitated interventions of support , technical/financial assistance and development. Further opportunities are offered by the creation of Tangeri “Free Zone” for the operations of delocalization of productive investments.

Multiple opportunities offered to foreign investors like exemption from taxes on profits, tax reductions, can be analyzed in details at CRIs (Investment Regional Centers – www.CRI.ma) and at the Investment Rabat Direction, which is part of Ministry of Economic Affairs (www.invest.gov.ma). utti i retailers desiderano un negozio che funzioni, che possa interpretare al meglio le esigenze del consumatore che possa fargli aumentare la vendita al metro quadro e la produttività dello spazio di vendita. Per migliorare questi parametri non basta mettere sopra degli scaffali il prodotto né basta la formazione del personale, sono necessari altri driver come uno studio approfondito del “concept ” che si vuole sviluppare e un design dello store che sia in grado di esprimere nel suo insieme il valore del brand, attrarre il consumatore rispondere alle sue esigenze e condurlo all’acquisto. Oggi diventa sempre più obbligata la strada di affidarsi ad un retail designer, più che una scelta un investimento per rendere profittevole il proprio business e ed aumentare la redditività. In Italia, a differenza di quanto avviene da tempo negli Stati Uniti, non è ancora molto valorizzata la specializzazione del design applicato al retail, anche se ultimamente ci sono ottime iniziative da parte di associazioni e scuole specializzate, nel proporre master in retail design e visual merchandising. Le competenze di un retail designer sono diverse rispetto a quelle di un architetto o di un arredatore o designer di interni.

Il know-how di un retail designer infatti è legato prevalentemente ai processi di vendita, allo studio e all’analisi di come gli scenari economici e sociali a livello nazionale e mondia-

le mutano, come il consumatore cambia le sue abitudini influenzando le dinamiche della vendita, determinando le nuove funzionalità del negozio, nonché le evoluzioni delle abitudini d’acquisto. Gli studi legati alla psicologia dei colori, che influenzano il comportamento delle persone, lo studio dell’illuminazione, il visual merchandising ( tecniche espositive e persuasive ) sono conoscenze importanti che determinano il “ Concept” che si vuole sviluppare e tracciano le linee guida per il progetto e il design dello store che dovrà rispondere oltre che ad esigenze estetiche e di unicità, alla funzionalità ed alle esigenze di budget dell’azienda che possano giustificare l’investimento fatto per i successivi 5 anni.

Un lavoro quello del retail designer sicuramente affascinante e complesso che dimostra come lavorando sui colori, sulla multisensorialità, sul coinvolgimento emotivo e sui desideri non espressi, si riesca ad aumentare la permanenza del consumatore all’interno del negozio, il risultato finale sarà un ambiente che vende. Le skills del retail designer sono un ausilio anche per l’azienda, che spesso presenta brief incompleti, mentre uno specialista aiuta a definire un brief più centrato, per orientare il progetto al raggiungimento degli obiettivi. E’ importante che il retail designer abbia una cultura e competenza internazionale, sia in grado cioè di indagare le innovazioni del retail a livello globale. Una volta ottenuto l’incarico infatti lo specialista dovrà immergersi in un’approfondita ricerca sul mondo di appartenenza dell’azienda, indagando come viene raccontata la merceologia di prodotto sottolineando le innovazioni. Insomma è un luogo comune che il retail designer disegni l’interno del negozio. Non è (solo) così, perché il design è la punta dell’iceberg o meglio lo step finale di un processo fatto di analisi, studio, pensiero, viaggi, approfondimenti culturali, osservazioni, per definire il concept dello store evidenziando i valori che l’azienda vuole trasmettere e intuendo quali sono gli spazi per introdurre innovazioni e valore aggiunto. ll retailers wish to have a store which works, which can understand at best consumer’s needs, which can increase sales per square meter and productivity.

In order to make these parameters better, it is not enough neither to put the products on the shelves nor to train the workers. Other drivers are necessary, like a deep study of the concept that has to be developed and a store design which can express the brand value, attract the consumer to satisfy his needs and lead him to purchase. Nowadays, it is getting very advisable to rely on a retail designer. This is not really a choice, but an investment to make the business profitable. In Italy, differently from what has been happening since a long time in the United States, the specialization of design applied to retail has not been strongly commended yet, even if recently associations and specialized schools have launched excellent initiatives, offering Master’s programs in retail design and visual merchandising. The skills of a retail designer are different from those of an architect or an interior designer.

A retailer designer’s know-how is mainly linked to the selling processes, the study and the analysis on how economic and social scenarios at national and global level change over time, on how consumers change their habits influencing selling dynamics, determining new functions of the store and the evolution of buying habits. The studies linked to the psychology of colors, which influence people’s behavior, the study of the illumination, the visual merchandising (exposing and persuasive techniques) represent important knowledge. They determine the concept which is supposed to be developed and suggest the guidelines for the project and the store design, which has to answer not only to needs of beauty and uniqueness, but also to society’s functionalities and budget needs, which can justify the investment for the next five years.

The retail designer’s job is certainly fascinating and complex, it shows how working on the colors, the multisensory, the emotional involvement and the unexpressed desires, it is possible to increase consumer’s stay in the store, achieving the final result of selling more. The retail designer’s skills are a support also for the society, which often presents briefs which are incomplete, while a specialist can help to define a spot-on brief, in order to facilitate the project to achieve the results. It is important that the retail designer has international culture and competence, so he can examine retail innovations at global level. Once he gets the task, he has to carry out a deep research on the company’s environment and examine the product sector, underlying its innovations.

So, it is a commonplace that the retail designer draws the interior of the store. This is not (completely) true, as the design is the tip of the iceberg, the final step of a process made up of analyses, studies, thoughts, travels, cultural focuses, observations to define the concept store, highlighting values the company wants to communicate and understanding the spaces for innovation and added value. Just at the end the retail designer thinks about the store design, which foregrounds the consumer in his active experience and relationship with the brand and its values.

FORMAT RETAIL labbra a lunga tenuta. Per realizzare i propri prodotti Bite utilizza ingredienti naturali e idonei all’uso alimentare: una miscela esclusiva di cera d’api, olio d’Argan, burro di cacao e coloranti, tutti naturalmente approvati dalla severa FDA americana.

Dopo i primi risultati di vendita confortanti, anche in una catena importante come Sephora, l’azienda ha sperimentato un pop-up store e nel 2014 ha deciso di aprire il suo primo negozio monomarca a New York, in un quartiere trendy e attento alle novità come Soho.

L’elemento di forte innovazione del negozio è il Bite Lip Lab che offre il servizio brevettato DYOL (Design Your Own Lipstick – progetta il tuo rossetto). La cliente viene coinvolta nel processo che porta alla creazione della tinta personalizzata. Si inizia abbinando diverse tonalità di rossetto già esistenti e testando le miscele di altri colori, che vengono applicati strato su strato per trovare la sfumatura ideale. Il processo complessivo alla base della creazione dura circa mezz’ora, anche se la produzione vera e propria del rossetto richiede sette minuti: si fanno sciogliere le diverse palline di rossetto, si aggiunge un aroma (ciliegia, violetta, menta, …) e si versa in una forma il composto che in pochi minuti si raffredda e solidifica. The opportunity The market of beauty and make-up is in strong evolution. After having been for decades fertile ground for global and historical brands, in the 21st century we observed the rapid growth of new brands, which have been able to get success quickly thanks to the development of very attractive one brand stores. Kiko was the “pioneer” of this trend, facilitating customers’ willingness to test new products and brands, which are attractive either for money for value or for included services. Personalization is a strongly requested service in this sector. Bite moved in this direction. Bite is an American brand specialized in products for lips and it allows customers to create their own personalized lipstick.

Under the same roof the sign joints art and “science” to the theme of beauty.

Thanks to the possibility of personalizing purchases and to the great selection of

available products, customers can mix various colors and aromas of lipstick to create their own product.

The concept Bite is a brand of special products for lips, like creamy lipsticks, high-yield lip pencils, long-lasting lip glosses. Bite uses natural and edible ingredients to realize its product: an exclusive mix of beeswax, Argan oil, cocoa butter and dyes, all of them are of course approved by the strict American FDA. After the first good sales results, even in an important chain like Sephora, the company tested a pop-up store and in 2014 decided to open its first one brand store in New York, in a trendy and news sensitive district like Soho. The element of strong innovation of the store is the Bite Lip Lab, which offers the patented service (Design Your Own Lipstick). The customer gets involved in the process of creation of the personalized color.

The process starts combining different existing shades of lipstick and texting mixtures of other colors, which are applied layer by layer to find the perfect shade. The whole creation process lasts

FORMAT RETAIL about half an hour, even if the actual production of lipstick requires seven minutes: you melt different small balls of lipstick, add an aroma (cherry, violet, mint…) and spill the mixture in a mold.

In few minutes it gets cold and solid.

1. Leadership con l’esempio: occorre essere, innanzitutto, un esempio, un motivatore e trasmettere in modo chiaro e senza distonie i valori e la visione d’impresa.

2. Trasparenza: lavorare molto sulla comunicazione, compresa la parte sempre più difficile, cioè quella legata ai responsi negativi (dare quelli positivi è molto più semplice).

3. Focalizzazione al raggiungimento dei risultati: trasmettere tranquillità e serenità, ma anche orientamento all’obiettivo (stress ed eccessiva emotività sono destabilizzanti per i collaboratori).

4. Imparzialità: utilizzare una metrica di valutazione delle prestazioni oggettiva per tutto il team di lavoro.

5. Organizzazione: pianificare il proprio lavoro e quello degli altri, che significa, per esempio, presentarsi puntuale alle riunioni o definire aspettative e piani d’azione in modo chiaro.

6. Capacità di ascolto: prestare attenzione ai collaboratori nelle sedi e nei modi prestabiliti, senza essere tuttavia un confessore o, peggio ancora, un fratello maggiore.

7. Decisionismo: incertezza e tentennamenti sono nocivi all’organizzazione e minano l’autorevolezza del capo.

8. Etica: valore essenziale di per sé, è anche ormai un presupposto richiesto da tutte le organizzazioni più evolute, in quanto fattore intrinseco di successo per gli affari.

9. Empatia: saper riconoscere e anticipare i bisogni dei collaboratori consente di ottenere il meglio da loro.

10. Divertimento: sebbene sia una componente alcune volte trascurata, come se fosse incompatibile con un approccio serio e rigoroso, saper introdurre un elemento di divertimento e di passione consente di cementare il team e aumentare l’impegno, il coinvolgimento e senso di appartenenza. © RIPRODUZIONE VIETATA

ow does a good boss has to be? Leader. Responsible. But also involving, impartial, able to organize, listen, understand, and sometimes entertain. Many things have to be known and done to be a perfect boss in the office. Some companies specialized in recruiting of leaders and managers have drawn up in recent years some guides of the characteristics of the ideal responsible.

Here below the ten points which summarize the characteristics of the perfect boss.

1. Leadership giving the example: first of all, it is necessary to give the example, to be a motivator and clearly spread without dystonia values and business vision.

2. Transparency: working a lot on communication, included the most difficult part: giving negative feedback (giving positive feedback is much easier).

3. Focus on achievement of goals: spreading tranquility and serenity, but also target orientation (stress and excessive emotionality are destabilizing for employees).

4. Impartiality: evaluation of performances must be

objective for all the team.

5. Organization: planning own job and others’ one, that means, for example, be on time for meetings or define clearly expectations and action plans.

6. Listening skills: paying attention to employees in prescribed time and manner. However, it is important to avoid being a confessor or, worse yet, an older brother.

7. Decisiveness: uncertainty and hesitation are harmful for the organization and undermine boss’s authority.

8. Ethics: essential value in itself, today it is also a prerequisite required by the most evolved organizations, as intrinsic factor of success for business.

9. Empathy: being able to meet in advance employees’ needs allow to obtain their best.

10. Entertaining: this component is sometimes neglected, but it is not in contrast with a serious and rigorous behavior. To be able to introduce entertaining and passion allows to strengthen the team and to increase effort, involvement and sense of belonging. © RIPRODUZIONE VIETATA

na startup che acquista una startup. È quanto successo con l’acquisto di ParkMe da parte di Inrix Buys. Non è stato, al momento in cui scriviamo, ancora resa pubblica la cifra. ParkMe è un’app disponibile per sistemi operativi Android, iOs e Windows che mappa le aree di parcheggio per un totale di oltre 84.000 location in circa 65 paesi. Il software permette all’utente di sapere i parcheggi più vicini, compararne i prezzi, conoscerne la capienza, eccetera.

Parkme, the startup that tells you all about parking start-up which buys a start-up. That is what happened when Inrix Buys bought ParkMe. At the time of this writing, the amount has not been made public yet. ParkMe is an app available for Android, iOs and Windows operating systems. It maps parking areas for more than 84,000 locations in about 65 countries. The software allows the user to reach the closest car parks, to compare their prices, to check their capacity, etcetera.

CONNEXUM, PER CONNETTERE I TURISTI

onnexun si aggiorna e diventa app. La piattaforma si basa sulla geolocalizzazione: una volta iscritti e inserite le informazioni di base (ad esempio, la nazionalità di appartenenza e quella del Paese di approdo), è possibile muoversi attraverso la mappa della città in cui si è arrivati navigando tra point of interests già recensiti da altri utenti Connexun, come ristoranti, bar, e luoghi di benessere: la piattaforma permette di contattare eventuali altri connazionali possessori della app nei paraggi.

Connexum, to connect tourists onnexum is upgraded and becomes an app. The platform is based on geolocation: once you are registered and have inserted your key information (e.g. your nationality), you can move through the map of the city you reached and discover points of interest reviewed by other Connexum users, like restaurants, pubs and spas: the platform permits to contact other fellow countrymen who use the app in proximity.
