AIESEC
A YOUTH MOVEMENT
What is AIESEC?
1948 Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Netherlands And Denmark
mission was “to expand the understanding of a nation by expanding the understanding of the individuals, changing the world one person at a time.
1955 AIESEC expanded into the Middle East region and also into Greece. This year AIESEC passed 1,000 international exchange experiences for the first time.
1967 AIESEC expanded into the Americas, Australia and South Africa With annual global exchange numbers surpassing the 4,500 mark
1977 AIESEC had full member committees in 50 countries across 6 continents. Even more exciting was the fact that this expansion didn’t show any sign of slowing despite a global depression.
1989 The network is united with a new mission statement: What we Envision: “peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential.”
2015 AIESEC present in 126 countries and territories. We enabled over 26,000 international placements, coordinated by over 70,000 AIESECers per year.

5 years ambitions 2005-2010-2015
We are aware of global & local issues and act quickly to respond to them by offering powerful leadership experiences. We collaborate with likeminded organizations that, like us, strive for a better world. Through this, we take part in global and local decision making processes.
Anyone can experience AIESEC, be it physically, virtually, directly or indirectly. We actively break our geographical and social barriers to make it possible for every young person in the world to live an AIESEC experience.
Doing the same things is not enough to one day engage and develop every young person in the world. Being disruptive means for us to challenge the way we think and act as an organization. We find innovative ways to grow faster and be better. Every AIESECer seeks for solutions and acts upon them every day.
We are a movement with one cause: Peace & Fulfillment of humankind's potential. We easily engage youth & like minded organizations around the globe to act as one. When people think of leadership development, they think of AIESEC.
It’s not about having ideas. It’s about making ideas happen
What does the world need currently?
How can we tackle these needs and be accessable to everyone?
How can we maginfy the impact?
Engaging youth in global issues Alignment with SDGs

"I usually don't write long captions to express my emotions and how I feel, but I want to express my love for this beautiful family. We came from 8 different countries to volunteer in Sri Lanka, we shared the same house and lived together for 1 month. It is really hard to say good bye today. It was one hell of a volunteering internship. One month was enough to give me memories for a lifetime. Thank you Sri Lanka." - Luna Maroun,American University of Beirut (AUB) student
Incoming Exchange Presenting projects in Lebanon that promote social and humanitarian causes

Refugee Aid: ⊡
Founded in July 2014
It is an AIESEC powered project that focuses on aiding the Syrian refugees in the Bekaa Valley. ⊡
Refugee Aid
Yesterday it was my first day of work at Mosaab al-Telyani camp in the Bekaa valley in Lebanon, installed by the United Nations for Human Rights and in partnership with a local NGO, Kayany Foundation. Here I met Ibrahim Haggi, a Syrian child of 10 years old who suffers from malnutrion; when I met him for the first time, I thought he was only 5 Years old. Haggi doesn't know anything about Syria, its culture, its past, and its civilization. He has just bad memories of the war and he cannot even write his own name. #UNHCR# stop_the_war #syrian_refugees #syria Abdelli Youssef
