AIESEC is a global youth-led organization striving to achieve peace and fulfillment of humankind’s potential by activating leadership qualities in youth through learning from practical experiences in challenging environments. Together with partner organizations, AIESEC facilitates a network of cross-cultural exchanges in the form of volunteering experiences and professional internships. Since its establishment in 1948, the AIESEC network includes over 70,000 members in 128 countries and territories. It is the largest youth-run organization in the world.


is an AIESEC Program in a form of practical working and learning experience for young people to develop their academic knowledge and professional skills in a foreign cultural environment. In short, this program gives you opportunities to gain professional experiences through working in foreign companies. This program lasted for 6 – 12 months. Under normal circumstances, Global Talent Program provides its participants with an opportunity to go on an internship in one of the following sub- products: Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Teaching (English Education).

This type of management internship is comprised of the most competitive internship pool available in in almost all AIESEC countries. Participant generally needs to have relatively flexible regional preferences. All Management Internships always require some relevant management academic background and work experiences, since the management background internship is the largest field and is highly competitive.

The intern who is interested with Teaching & Language Education must have the academic and professional backgrounds in the field of education/training as well as working experience. Global Entrepreneur

The Global Entrepreneur program is an initiative to develop entrepreneurial leadership through practical experience in start-up companies abroad. Unlike Global Talent internships, participants of Global Entrepreneur work in start-up companies for the longest duration of 12 weeks and does receiver salary/allowance, however, participants are given consumption and accomodation from the company in return. This program is open for all educational background. If you are looking for a short but intense professional experience and have an interest in the world of start-ups, Global Entrepreneur is the right choice for you.


General Requirements


Undergraduate—Minimum 5th Semester Bachelor—Two (2) years after obtaining a university degree, except joining master program - Not older than 30 years of age at the time interview with AIESEC

Master—20 – 30 years old

Excellent in English (or having proficiency in another international language) in both writing and speaking

Flexible in choosing internship countries and companies


The Process


Register

Register yourself first at aiesec.or.id/register. The AIESEC in your local area will contact you for a follow up. You will be required to attend Info Session afterwards to be given complete details about the program.

Digitalisation Student Reviw Board

AIESEC in your local area will require you to fill Digitalisation Student Review Board (DSRB), your first selection phase in applying Global Talent Program. We will do screening based on your DSRB answers and your CV.

Interview with AIESEC local

Once you pass the DSRB, your next step will be the second selection, interview by the local AIESEC, where you’ll be asked about your skills and professional experiences.

Opportunity Selection If you pass the interview, you will officially become an Exchange Pariticipant. You will be given access into the AIESEC system, EXPA, where you can search and apply the international internship opportunities available around the globe.

Throughout your internship, you will be hosted by a Local Committee. That committee will : • Arrange for your airport pickup • Help you find housing or sometimes provide housing • Help you adjust to cultural differences, and give you a real taste of life in that country

FAQs


What makes our program different from the other internship programs in other organizations? The internship program provided by AIESEC has a nominal payment cheaper than other organizations. In addition, AIESEC’s processes are organized and structured well so that it is convenient for participants to follow. During the internship, participants will be involved in various events which introduce differences in terms of knowledge, culture and development of each participants. Who will help the participants when they are doing the internship abroad? Participants will be assisted by members of AIESEC located in each local level of the destination country. Members of AIESEC will assist in providing accommodation, airport pick up, accompanied on the first day of internship, and help to adapt to the environment and different culture. Other than that, AIESEC members will ask each participant to join in AIESEC activities and more closely acquainted with other exchange participants. AIESEC members from Indonesia will also continue to communicate with AIESEC members from the destination country before, during, and after the internship takes place.

I am graduated already (no longer a student active). Can I join this Professional Internship program? Yes, you can. This internship is available to the graduates and undergraduate students. The duration time of having internship sometimes could be quite long, with approximately 6 months up to 1 year. So for you who are still student, please CONSIDER this


Why do we need to pay to AIESEC for this program? The internship program provided by AIESEC charge each exchange participant. It is analogous to someone who will buy a plane ticket or concert ticket. Various possibilities can happen, it can be postponed or cancelled. However, everyone believe that they will fly with the aircraft or experience a great concert, so they will still buy the tickets. It is similar to participants when participating in AIESEC internship program. For more than 60 years, AIESEC has provided various unique opportunities to thousands of participants in the world. AIESEC provides an insurance to each participant that they will gain a valuable and beneficial experience during the internship. The question is whether the participants are committed to participate in this AIESEC program? Many participants who have signed the contract still lacks commitment to continue the application and even selection process.
