Dear AIESEC in Denmark, There’s a little over two months until MC 1415 term finishes, but for you it’s already the beginning of term 1516. As AIESEC Denmark, we are currently in a state where we can end and start something big! Isn’t that amazing? April has just passed. This newsletter is a look back of what happened. Important reality check, things weren’t rainbows and unicorns last month. We are falling behind with some of our goals which means we are also not meeting the bigger impact we want to make in the Danish society and the youth. If our ambitions matter to us, which we believe it does very much, then we need to do something about them that will change everything. *wink*
As a united entity, we need to make sure that we focus on the most important things that need to happen in May. Currently we have around 100 oGIP EPs in our Matching pool. Next month, the only focus for oGIP should be to Match ‘em all! For iGIP, the focus is to raise TNs and match them as quickly as possible. Remember, MA for oGIP, RA for iGIP. Be sure that you are not sidetracked by unnecessary activities. We believe in you! So let’s MAY(ke) it happen!
Hugs from Copenhagen,
Your MC COOL
Last April 11-12, the Board of Directors of AIESEC in Denmark met in Odense to discuss some pretty important stuff. Your entity President may already have told you about them. If not yet, then read on so you get that information!
The most important discussion during this NPM is the consolidation of AIESEC DK 2020 input from Fortius and making the new vision 2020. Remember that? YOU were part of it! The good news is, after rounds of discussions, the new vision was created. But don’t get too excited yet! This vision based on internal input is not the finished product. Further steps to verify this externally is still in progress. We need to make sure that the vision we create is relevant to our stakeholders and the Danish society.
Knowledge management has always been an issue in a fast-changing organisation like AIESEC. Keeping them intact and easily accessible is rather important for sustainable growth and development. This is why the MC took the initiative to establish AIESEC DK’s Knowledge Hub. It contains A LOT of cool and useful stuff. So be sure to check it out whenever you need some information for your daily operations. It is here to stay so making it a habit to check the KH will be worthwhile! Updates to the KH will come in from time to time!
It’s a tedious process but usually great things are created through hard work. So look forward for some updates about this in the next newsletters! This little surprise at aiesec.dk links to the Knowledge Hub!
You have heard of the LEAD programme before but you may find yourself confused of what LEAD really is. The LEAD Summit aimed to clarify what LEAD really is about and how it is a mechanism to enable leadership development in any AIESEC Experience. The summit delegates were EB members. Four entities were present: Aarhus, AAU, CBS, and UNIC. The knowledge your entity representatives gained from the summit is something that they will definitely take forward in downscaling! We have set up a 1-month LEAD downscaling challenge to them and you will know more about it soon enough (if not yet already!).
