AIESEC in Algeria is a fast growing entity, and our goal is to grow fast in all products! Incoming Global Volunteer has a huge potential in our country, projects like Global School and My Bookshelf will define the contribution of the iGV product to the overall 1K goal of AIESEC in Algeria, and also the reach of social impact our actions will have in Algeria. The preparation of these projects on solid bases and with the right support system is highly important. For that, we’re looking for highly motivated and committed individuals who are willing to give their best to make these projects a reality, while developing their personal managerial and leadership skills.

THE PROJECT Global School is a national project of AIESEC in Algeria, in which Global Volunteers will prepare and deliver lessons to high school students about one (or more) of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in an interactive and creative way, with presentations, workshops, and other unconventional activities, in order to tackle the issues globally, then downscale them to the national and local levels, with the aim of raising awareness as a first step to engage young students towards action. During the lessons, interns will introduce themselves, their countries and share their traditions, to promote linguistic and cultural dialogue and create a mindset of peace, tolerance and living diversity.

YOUR JD:  Oversee the preparation, organization and execution of the project in all LCs.  Coordinate the work between LCs.  Insure the delivery of the SAME project in all LCs, following the national timeline.  Provide all the needed support to the local OCPs.  Establish and manage national partnerships for the project.

My Bookshelf is a regional refugee project run in several MEA entities, which focuses on providing psycho-social support to refugee kids by teaching them languages, arts and crafts, music and dancing, peace and conflict resolution. The project administers practical and emotional support to vulnerable refugee kids and asylum seekers under SDG of #4 Quality Education and #16 Peace and Justice. It is our aim as AIESEC, being a global youth led organization, aligned with the United Nations SDGs, to be a leading factor in addressing the refugee crisis, through our project, impacting thousands of children through education.
