ENGINEERING The program Global Talents Engineering is the gateway for the industries to the students and graduates of the largest engineering centers in the world. Currently, Belgium has difficulties supplying the demand for engineers; AIESEC offers opportunities for companies, seeking talents that add beyond technical knowledge, diversity of ideas and culture for the development of enterprise.

BENEFITS Access to different types of engineering that are not consolidated in Belgium Implementation of innovative tools and procedures Global networking External opinion to increase productivity and process review Junior engineer with the dedication of 38 hours a week to guarantee results within 6 months Supply shortages of skilled labour in the industrial sector Engineer with fluency in English Interim HR to run parallel projects or accelerate product development Low cost of the program allows a quick return on investment

ENGINEERING

MANUFACTURING PROJECT

Electricians, electrical and mechanical engineers with technical expertise that allow planning, development, simulation, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, systems and networks. Within the industry risk is present throughout the production process; therefore, it is up to these engineers strive for safety of workers and consumers. The quality of products in terms of product composition is the responsibility of these professionals.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

+Assistance projects in product development +Computer simulation and testing prototypes. +Present scope of new products, update and improve existing products and processes +Safety testing and quality of networks, equipment, routines and processes +Make a report of the project technical and financial monitoring of activities

MAINTENANCE PLANNING

ASSURANCE AND QUALITY CONTROL

Develop and apply methodologies for inspection and control of incoming goods, products, semi-finished and final product.

Work on optimizing the current processes, propose improvements and cost reductions through new maintenance methods or determine an optimal time to stop the equipment.

This can include proposing a new routine tests of strength for a new product line machined in a steel company.

Corrective maintenance through developing operational manuals to prevent these failures.

In addition, quality assurance is proposed to avoid and reduce the error in order to ensure that all production is uniform. In this context appears the international and national standardization aimed at establishing companies in the same industry uniformity standard for customer service as well as ensuring the safety of anyone who has contact with the product through stress testing.

Maintenance and improvement of where engineers work directly on correcting failures of current mechanisms and prevent their recurrence in the future.

3

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

To develop a product can take years from conception to final product in customers' hands. Thus, the project comes Manufacturing to accelerate this process in specific phases: Simulation: Today it is much more financially feasible to test a prototype device or component through virtual simulation. Mechanical Engineers have great affinity with electronic tools such as Solidworks and can test properties including resistance, voltage, and other through a computer. Thus, the project can bring Manufacturing engineers to perform the tests and computer simulations.

Design: Development of the product concept. Study the feasibility of the project in terms of resources needed and available as well as basic design and primary structure of the product being developed. The project fits in here and expedite projects through assistant engineers or even initiate projects that had no focus of the company due to lack of human resource.

Prototype: Making final adjustments and adapt equipment and components for scale-up requires testing, reporting performance and security testing.

Innovation: Making improvements in specific points of established products to increase performance and reduce cost. Find new materials and technologies to be applied. In this scenario the highlight is that today will be a great interest in providing equipment control by android.

For medium-sized companies and large work with two or more trainees preferably different training to complement the work. Duration 6 months (recommended) up to 1 year.

ENGINEERING

QUALITY AND PRODUCTIVITY PROJECT

Serves industries by offering junior industrial engineers to analyse production and quality processes. It's the opportunity of having a temporary HR to perform projects focused on cost reduction through the review of current production lines and logistics.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1

DEVELOPMENT OF STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES

Standard Operating Procedure is known as POP and aims to provide detailed instructions described to achieve uniformity in the execution of a specific function. Thus, the engineer accompanies an entire sector and defines a procedure manual for each activity to be performed. Thus, the result of the activity is independent of who performs it, since that person has domain POP proposed.

2

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

It is feasible in any industry that is importing raw materials. It is up to the engineer to ensure that the specifications required by the company are transferred to foreign suppliers. Focus on bringing someone whose home country / language is of interest to the company.

Standardize production to have quality assurance.

4

3

LOGISTICS

5

The industrial engineer can work developing and applying methodologies for inspection and control of incoming goods, semi-finished and finished product. An example of such is the proposition of a new routine tests for the inputs received in a factory in the food sector. In addition, quality assurance is proposed to avoid and reduce the error in order to seek and achieve that all production is uniform . In this context arises projects ergonomics methodology of 5S, six sigma methodology and others. Example: Implementation of ISO 14000, lean manufacturing projects, value analysis.

FLOWCHART OF PRODUCTION LINES, SPREADSHEETS AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

An industrial engineer can work in certain sectors or production lines in order to verify the current situation to identify what are the factors that prevent the continuous production and uniform.

Place in a logical order shares, whether in production , financial or management, is the first procedure to identify the bottlenecks of the company as a whole. Although many companies have already structured flowcharts, they are always subject to revision and restructuring, given the dynamics of the organization itself. Furthermore, mid-size companies can not have this kind of work and present an interesting opportunity approach.

Work with ergonomics, human interaction in the environment, external factors that cause changes in the production line and other indicators that should be measured quantitatively and qualitatively.

The production engineer is able to develop a complete chain of process flowchart and from that analyse which are the vital points that can change drastically and what actions should be taken for preventive and reactive measures.

ENGINEERING

INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT

Serves the sector of construction and infrastructure by offering junior civil engineers and architects to assist in development projects and plants. It is an opportunity to accelerate the delivery of projects, have a look outside to greater dynamism in creating. Furthermore, relying on professionals to work directly in construction doing survey, inventory and sizing adjustments on site.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

+Deliver budgets building materials and construction costs +Make checks and security analysis and review of current models of production +Design of secondary structures +Sizing of structures +Conference inventories and production control +Make a report of the project technical and financial monitoring of activities

JOB DESCRIPTIONS DEVELOPMENT AND GRAPHING PROJECTS Working with CAD tools for the creation and development of projects as primary structures for residential, corporate and commercial. In addition to supporting structures such as hydraulic structure, electrical and foundations. Architects are better able to draw, design and work with the creative part of the project and defining the layout of the proposed structure. Civil Engineers give flexibility to projects, make the design calculations and analysis of structures. They can work with the foundations of larger structures, calculation of forces and resistances, structuring hydraulic networks, sanitation, and infrastructure works such as roads and geology.

2

ANALYSIS OF CONSTRUCTION COSTS

3

For any project it is possible to be done it needs to present a good economic viability. Thus, the reduction of costs and optimization of the materials used in construction are the differences between the planned budget and carried out any work. The civil engineer can do market surveys, analyse costs and determine the quality of materials from suppliers to provide the lowest possible cost and higher utilization of resources.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Team work as a project assistant working directly in the works and checking the daily needs that arise in everyday life. Working with drawings and dimensioning of secondary elements. They can operate in service planning, proposed timeline of actions and monitoring of operations on site.
