Marketing Internship @ Taipei, Taiwan
Firstly, in terms of the working experience, the company was able to provide me a podium to channel my creativity and initiative via taking ownership of my projects under my supervisor. It has led to greater enthusiasm and also enabled me to invest my time and effort into projects that I could proudly say contributed to the company. As my knowledge in the company’s products and business goals deepened, I started to give myself more freedom to take initiatives in implementing new marketing strategies as well as give suggestions to certain problems we thought the company was facing.
There was a team of 3 interns in the marketing team and we each handled separate aspects of the marketing operations but we frequently came together to pitch ideas about how to improve the company.
!
One of the highlights was the company’s anniversary event that I was able to play a big role in, just right before I left. My team of interns was able to craft out the backbone of the marketing campaign as well as make relevant suggestions to the company’s new direction. It is definitely heartening to see the change happening in the months following my departure.
!
In addition, living alone independently also taught me a lot of things: from handling difficult situations to seeking opportunities for growth. You really do get a taste of life – the kind of intensity, professionalism and lack of support really teach you how to manage your finances, finding opportunities to improve your life and finding people to hang out with in a foreign country.

Teaching Internship @ Lingua Plus, Russia
When I first decided on Russia out of all the opportunities available, it was when the situation between Russia and Ukraine is extremely tense. Everyone from friends to complete strangers tried their best to talk me out of it. Thinking back, I am glad that I went ahead with the plans instead of following their advice.
!
My program is suppose to be a 2.5 months program where I teach Chinese in a Lingua Plus, a language school situated in Russia, Arkhangelsk. Nearly two months into the program, I can say with absolute certainty that it is and will always be an experience I will never forget.
!
The Russia which I am introduced to is completely dierent to the Russia which is presented in the media, the one which I am taught to believe. The friendliness which I have received from AIESEC Arkhangelsk and the locals is overwhelming to say the least. Since the day I arrived in the city, I am bombarded with a tidal wave of new faces and invitations to various events. There is never a dull moment as with each day, comes opportunities to learn or try or meet something new.
!
Coming to Russia not only allowed me to learn from highly experienced teachers who are more than willing to help me develop professionally, but allow me to see the world is a new light. The best aspect of AIESEC is that it allows you to step right out of your comfort zone and give you the chance to experience life in a country which you know little to nothing about.

Q1:How long does the programme application process take?
For each opportunity that you apply for, there will be around 2 rounds of interviews if you are shortlisted - one by the host AIESEC entity and one by the host company. The time it takes before embarking on your internship also depends on the visa processing time, which varies from country to country.

You are free to participate in more than 1 internship depending on your own preferences and time availability. However, each administrative fee payment only entitles you to participate in 1 internship.
?
Q3: How will AIESEC support me?
One of the main benefits of going on exchange with AIESEC is the extensive support that you will receive from our global network, even when you are in a foreign country.
