If you are reading this document, then it is a sign that you are about to start a experience of a lifetime. We are looking forward to get to know you and, hopefully, spend some quality time together. On behalf of the iGCDP team of AIESEC in Italy, we would like to welcome you to our beautiful country. While you will be here, we will make sure that you have all the conditions you need (and that we can provide) to have a really positive and impactful experience you will remember with joy in the future. This is the oďŹƒcial booklet about Italy, here you will ďŹ nd all the information about our country, a mediterranean country of incredible diversity and charm. Our geographical variety, our history, and adventure, our people and culture have fascinated the world for centuries. We are a committed entity. All our actions are driven with the huge aim to MAKE in ITALY, creating impact on Italian society and delivering high quality experiences. Italy is a very beautiful and attractive country, appreciated from all over the world, but still, we have some social issues as every country has. Italy has a predominantly Mediterranean climate, Alpine in far north and hot, dry in south. In summertime the average temperatures in the lowlands are 28째C in the south and 22째C in the north. The winter is very cold in the Alps, cold and foggy in the Po Plain and the central Apennines, mild and even warm on the Ligurian coast, the Neapolitan coast and in the main islands (Sicily and Sardinia).

EDUCHANGE

The project EduChange is a national project that allows Italian schools to host international students for six weeks, in order to deliver trainings and workshop on global issues. The aim of the project is to foster the innovation of the educational system through non-formal approach and methods and, at the same time, to increase the knowledge of english (or a second foreign language) while discussing sensible and trending topics.

integreat Bridging the gap of

cultural inteGREATion The project InteGREAT is a project that aims to connect young people from all over Europe to act upon the current refugees crisis by fostering their integration in our local communities and by providing them with all the tools to take an active role in the European society. The project involve international volunteer, local NGOs and local communites organizing workhops, leasure activities, seminar and events to directly support the integration of the refugees and to raise awareness in european citizen.

Promotion of NGO’s activities

Organization of teaching and recreational activities for minors hosted by the organization, it could include teaching english in unconventional ways and creation of creative projects.

Organization of activities for adults hosted in the NGO, such as workshops and seminars about the national and European social and cultural context, creative project for raising the awareness on the integration and welcoming in the country, IT and english courses.

Website/Blog management and organization of events aimed to promote the NGO and its activities. Give media coverage and visibility to the refugees’ stories and activities on an international level.


HELP TO HELP

The project Help to Help (H2H) is a national project created by AIESEC in Italy that allows NGOs to welcome and host for 6 weeks a team of international volunteers which will contribute to the activity of the organization. The main aim is to provide a qualitative support to NGOs thanks to the experience and the skills of the volunteers, improve their MKTG and PR strategies in order to strengthen their capabilites and visibility in the local reality.

Organization of activities for the volunteers and the people working in the NGO, such as workshops and trainings about communication, social issue in engin order to give a multicultural perspective and clarify the role of the nGO inthe global context.

Website/Blog management and organization of events aimed to promote the NGO and its activities. Give media coverage and visibility to the NGO al local level, increasising the awareness and the possibility of fundraising.
