Wildlife day
World Wildlife Day is an annual event observed on March 3rd to raise awareness about the world's wild animals (and plants) and the threats they face due to habitat loss, poaching, and climate change. The day was first declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013 to coincide with the adoption of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) in 1973.
