HOW DO WE IMPROVE YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY IN NIGERIA? WHAT ARE THE RIGHT LEADERSHIP TRAITS AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE NEW NIGERIA 2020? WHAT ROLE DO THE YOUTHS OF TODAY HAVE TO PLAY IN ACHIEVING VISION 2020? EDUCATION, EMPLOYABILITY & LEADERSHIP

From the PRESIDENT’s Desk The world we live in today is continually becoming uncertain. There are continuous threats about security, insurgency, climate change, conflict, rising population, economic meltdown, poverty, Health issues (Cancer, Malaria, HIV) and much more. All of these affect our very survival as Human beings and threaten life as we know it. In such times, the world requires a certain type of Leadership. Leadership that unites and engages; Leadership that stands through uncertainty and is flexible; Leadership with Values and Ethics at its core; Leadership that creates a positive impact in our society. I believe AIESEC is the most powerful youth organization in the world for providing a platform to develop those leaders. For 66 years AIESEC have demonstrated this by the kind of experience it provides its members and the impact they have on the society. For us in Port Harcourt, we constantly strive to achieve excellence by developing sustainable programs to engage and develop every young person in our community. We believe that the youths and the youths alone have the power to positively change the world. This is the vision that gave birth to the development of the concept of Career Fair and Leadership Summit. Career Fair and Leadership Summit is our deliberate effort in tackling Youth

Unemployment in our community. The first of this initiative was held in 2013 and was a huge success. The impact we created was what inspired the planning and hosting of this second Career Fair and Leadership Summit. This event provided a platform where employers and prospective employees (undergraduates/fresh graduates) interacted, explored their career options, opportunities and companies made impact on the society by building a responsible enterprise image in Nigerian Youths. This report is a short summary of our achievements in putting together the second edition of Career Fair and Leadership summit 2015 tagged “…where the FUTURE starts. This report is also a very small token of our appreciation and gratitude for our partners, supporters, alumni and our AIESEC members who made this event possible.

OLISA, Anthony Jr. President, AIESEC Port Harcourt
