#RI70 Happy Independence Day, young Leaders!
17th August 2015 marked the 70th year Indonesia has been through its independency from the colonialist. Youth have proven their actions in realizing our national aim. The realization of the national aim to be independent can not be separated from the role of young people who continue to figh for their purpose. ONE MONTH IN REVIEW
PROJECT UPDATE Green Revolution is a project based on exchange by AIESEC UNS with the purpose to raise the awareness of youth on environmental issues and how we should act toward it. The project involves 12 exchange participants from six countries which are Mexico, Colombia, Germany, Egypt, China, and Czech Republic. Running since 13th August, 2015, this project has held many kind of environmental events such as tree planting activity and Share To Care TSTJ. The tree planting activity took place on 26th August 2015 involving local people and the Village Chief of Pucangsawit.
#ShareToCareTSTJ This collaboration event with Earth Hour Solo was held in Taman Satwa Taru Jurug (TSTJ / Jurug Zoo) on 30th August 2015 to celebrate World Elephant Day. The agenda was cleaning up the trashes in zoo area together with communities in Surakarta and hundreds of visitors, feeding the elephants, and having Green Talks with the theme of #NasibGajah (Elephants' Fate). The talk was delivered by Mr. Bimo, the Director of TSTJ and followed by the exchange participants' sharing abou local zoos in their home countries.
AIESEC 2020 UNVEILED
From 21st August 2015 to 30th August 2015, more than 800 AIESECers from over 126 countries and territories have gathered for the 67th AIESEC International Congress in India to dream for the future of AIESEC in 2020. Our 2020 Visions are the roadmaps for converting our long-term aspirations into reality. It is about placing our confidence in the world's largest youth movement to co-create ideas and put them into action.
