AIGLON ANNUAL GIVING

Going Beyond

SWITZERLAND

Our Community Initiative: Scholarships We have two fantastic initiatives for our community to collectively fund a scholar’s journey at Aiglon.

Scholarships are awarded to students of outstanding promise and potential who would not otherwise have the financial means to access the world-class education offered at Aiglon. With your help, we will expand the diversity of young people in our community by continuing to grow the number of students of promise and potential benefitting from life-changing scholarships. Our Alumni Eagle Scholarship Award has enabled two scholars to access an Aiglon education, funded by our alumni and alumni parent community. Last year, 74 alumni and alumni parents went beyond, grouping together to make it possible for our second scholar to join Aiglon this Autumn. We are looking to our alumni community to change another life by funding a third Alumni Eagle Scholarship Award. Our first Parent Scholarship Award recipient joined Aiglon this year. 49 families in our parent community went beyond in joining together to change the life of a student with strong potential from a challenging background, yet who has demonstrated resilience and strength of character. We would be delighted if you would join our parents in supporting the second Parent Scholar’s journey at Aiglon.

Our Big Ideas Aiglon strives to be at the forefront of international education and as such, we have established some Big Ideas that will prepare our students for an ever-changing world. These ideas inform our key priorities, and will be significantly richer as a result of the involvement of our alumni and parent communities, reinforcing the power of collective giving. We are embracing the opportunities of technology and of our unique mountain location by developing collaborative programmes covering innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, winter and summer sports and new learning spaces across many academic and co-curricular areas. Enhanced Learning Spaces

This art form is at the heart of the Aiglon experience. We aim to become an All Steinway School, using exclusively Steinway & Sons pianos for all aspects of our music programme.

In a rapidly evolving world, educational institutions need innovative solutions to document, celebrate and reward student achievements.

We are continually seeking to optimise our teaching and learning environments.

The commitment to excellence will provide our students with the highest quality pianos possible and will foster the creativity and soft skills which will be increasingly important for the next generations.

By making a gift to support the Moghadam Campus Hub, you are partnering with us to create an atmosphere that fosters continuous improvement.

Spirit Tokens and Eduwallets offer a groundbreaking solution to transform recognition of academic and holistic achievements. Our goal is to fund a trailblazing pilot that disrupts current thinking and establishes new standards in student education.

Impact of Giving Our science labs are one example of the power collective giving has had on Aiglon this year. Additionally, the Exeter gym project was a student-led initiative with the goal of creating an environment where girls feel empowered and supported to improve their health through a dedicated fitness space. This community project was a true collaboration between students, parents and the school, making an immediate impact. The power of our scholarship programme goes far beyond the individual recipient. Scholars nurture in all our students, the values of kindness and respect regardless of origin, background and beliefs. As a fellow student (Clairmont, year 13) describes: “At Aiglon, diversity is one of our key pathways to the balanced development of the mind, body and spirit. Our scholarship programme allows for this to be taken further than just nationality, ethnicity, religion and culture, as

it creates a student body with a variety of different socio-economic backgrounds as well. This is why the programme is so important to our community. It shows how our different pathways are all connected, as diversity is important to achieve values such as respect and responsibility.”

Our stimulating and vibrant new science labs will enhance the learning experience for all our students. A great example of philanthropy at work, where former students leave a legacy from which future generations will benefit. Tom Duckling Deputy School Director

Will you go beyond? All gifts add up to make a great impact. There are many ways to give to Aiglon. We have Foundations for tax-efficient giving in the USA, UK, Canada, Hong Kong and the Netherlands. You can also set up a regular gift to Aiglon through Chapel & York which will lead to impact over time. If you would like to find out information about leaving a legacy to Aiglon or if you have made a commitment in your will, please do get in touch. I would also be glad to speak with you if you have ideas on how you would like to support Aiglon. Whether it be aligning with one of our

Big Ideas, creating opportunities for future scholars, or working with us as we develop our teaching and learning spaces, I would be happy to meet at your convenience. You can get in contact with me by email: k.sandri@aiglon.ch
