ARE YOU READY
FOR CHANGE? Zenith Magazine is extremely proud and excited to introduce our new look, design and content. Change is not always comfortable. And it's something that is not stable or predictable. Deciding to m a k e n e w, p o s i t i v e changes that generate excitement, or to remain in your stable, sedentary world, is a decision only you can make and no one can make it for you. Like they say the only thing that is constant in life is change. The question now is are you ready for a change, are you ready to determine your direction and build that positive momentum in your and impact it in others? When you encourage others to believe in themselves you build positive momentum in their lives. Your ďŹ rst responsibility as an encouraging person is to yourself. Make your best effort to provide the proper atmosphere for growth to occur. Discovering your own personal power and "free will" requires an attitude of positive self-control. Without commitment, you are helplessly determined by others. Is this what you want? Obviously the answer is no. So what's keeping you from change? What's keeping you from that bad habit that you have for so long wanted to do away with? Fear might be the reason. Breaking the shackles of past behaviours and attitudes that have kept you from growing and changing can be uncomfortable. The fear of the outcome stare you in the face. But you have to determine what you want, chart your own destiny and this will overcome your fear. Believe in yourself and make a free will and commit yourself to believe in your own free will. That free will is the ability to make a change, by being committed, you actively assert yourself in your relationship with others and the world. Zenith Magazine is all about inspiring people. If you have a story to tell that you think will inspire someone, please share it with us. Look for us on Social Networks

EDO 2016 As the polity to the sit of the Edo State governorship election hits up come 2016, we the Edo State indigenes both home and in Diaspora want the next Governor of our darling State (THE HEART BEAT OF THE NATION) to be somebody that can Joshua the State into a land flowing with milk and honey. According to Franklin D. Roosevelt, “Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared t o c h o o s e w i s e l y. T h e r e a l safeguard of democracy therefore is education.” To this end the only man of this moment is no other person than Zenith man of the year 2015 Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen JP. This Honorable is a science Degree graduate of UNIBEN, a Law graduate of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, a former EDHA majority leader and a former Federal Commissioner. I challenge any Aspirant for the 2016 Governorship race who has been political-platform-consistent since 1999; and unalloyed youth solidarity and accessibility like Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen JP, to come forthwith to this CHALLENGE. NO Pastor, Imam, Babalawo, Oni, Obi, Emir, Obong, Chief, Militant etc should tell you who to vote for, NEVER! The masses bear the brunt of unemployment, not the Pastor....
“Those who are graduates for the past 8 years or more have remained unemployed while he is powerless to help them”

The masses suffer epileptic power supply, not the Imams..... When the landlord increases house rent, the Oni, will not send money to augment it..... When medical bills need to be paid, you won't see the Obi.... When armed robbers show up in my neighborhood, the Emir won't be there to rescue you... When time comes to pay exorbitant private school fees for your children because public schools that produced the likes of Prof. Soyinka, prof. Chinua Achebe, and Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen JP are derelict, no militant will come to your rescue... The roads leading to Obong's palace are bad, he has not done anything about it, and how can he help you? Exchange rate has plummeted while the economy worsened yet the Babalawo suffers in silence with you and he is unable to use his juju to make our economic problems disappear... Those who are graduates for the past 8 years or more have remained unemployed while he is powerless to help them... So only you can decide WHO IS MAKING YOU GO THROUGH ALL THESE HARDSHIP, AND USING YOUR PVC TO TERMINATE THEIR TENURE, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEIR POOR HANDLING OF GOVERNANCE! VOTE WISELY VOTE Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen JP FOR GOVERNOR COME 2016. PRINCE OJAY AIREWELE DIRECTOR/EDITOR ZENITH MAGAZINE S.L MAGNET MOTORS S.L. SPAIN

"Between you and every goal that you wish to achieve, there is a series of obstacles, and the bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles. Your decision to be, have and do something out of the ordinary entails facing difficulties and challenges that are out of the ordinary as well. Sometimes your greatest asset is simply your ability to stay with it longer than anyone else."-Brian Tracy In life's journey, setbacks and failures are inevitable. That doesn't mean you should throw your projects out of the window or abandon your dream. When these failures and setbacks show its ugly head, don't give up. Today, we live in a multidimensional world that change constantly and a world that offers so many possibilities and opportunities. You are born unique, there is only you and you are created for a special reason. Whatever you dream is, don't give up especially in time of difficulty. You may think your dream is taking too long and it's not working and it will never change. My advice is don't give up and don't be discouraged. Stay in faith, keep believing and keep hoping because payday is coming. In life's journey, when things are not working according to plans and grows difficult and the pressure is turned up, that's a sign that your time is near. No matter how dark is the night; it will always break into day. Instead of throwing in the towel, learn to put on a new attitude. According to Martin Luther King Junior, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." A lot of people are going through challenging times. The economic down-turn has affected people of all ages. Millions of people have lost their job. Many people have lost their homes and many have lost their loved ones. Times are hard. From time immemorial, economic depressions and recessions surely do cause hardship and suffering. Like they say fortune favours the bold. On the other hand economic depression also serves as catalysts for inspiration creativity. Hard times give you strength and fortify you for a better tomorrow. LIFE IS A JOURNEY Whether we like it or not, time and change are constants that will remain forever in our lives. In life's journey, nothing remain constant, things will always change, develop and adjust. The moment we were born into this world, life's journey begins. Sad but that is the truth, we were never told the rules or given instructions about how to go about on this journey. We are born into a world full of opportunities and with the ability to achieve anything. Like babies bursting with life and confidence, happy and totally free and the world is our oyster and eager to explore life big adventure. The journey begins and each time we fall over, we pick ourselves right back and just “To embark on a journey, what people will think of us. So keep going, never worry of natural, you must agree with you have to have a clear me. Like the saying goes, “life is a journey”. Like every journey, it's picture of your full of ups and downs. But the ultimate goal of our journey is happiness. To embark on a journey, you have to have a clear picture of your destination. In absence of this, you will go round and round and back to the same point where you left. Worst of all, you may not reach your destination. The simple fact is that you do not have a clear picture of your destination. In life's journey, the road to achieving amazing things is going to get bumpy at times, this will come inform of obstacles. It is just the nature of life; there is nothing you can do about it. It is not these obstacles that will stop you from achieving what you want; it's how you choose to respond to them. When you're faced with obstacles how will you choose to respond? Will you fight to keep going or will you give in? It all depends on your frame of mind, is it positive or negative? Do you believe from day one that you are going to succeed or are you going to fail?

Matthew Iduoriyekemwen The Next Governor Of Edo State My appreciation of his God given gifts was an observation that I made from a distance when he was the Majority Leader Edo State House of Assembly and Edo State Representative on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) eventually confirmed when I met him on a visit to Malaga Spain and during my mother’s burial. My dealing with him during this period was not an experience I would describe as palatable but it never diminished my respect and opinion about this great son of Edo State. Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen JP for me is not about my personal relationship with him, it is about what I think he stands for in the representation of the Edo State indigene.
Hate or love him, no one can diminish the fact that he is a man that dares, a man that is politically formidable and cuts across to everyone with ease. Because Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen JP is very gifted, he plays so many roles perfectly thereby diminish the lesser mortals with average talents. He is one Edo State man that will stand and speak without fear of contradiction on any issue that concerns us as a people. Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen JP earns my respect not due to personal relationship but purely on the capacity he has shown in representing us on all matters. As a people, I need to warn we do not demean our warriors, we shall need them when the enemies come knocking.

ZENITH MAN OF THE YEAR
EXCLUSIVE
A NEW VISION FOR IMPROVING PRIMARY HEALTHCARE IN EDO STATE BY: MATTHEW IDUORIYEKEMWEN I have outlined a vision for the health sector in Edo State that focuses on the ultimate goal of all healthcare activities—saving lives. Given the size of our population and the prevalence of preventable diseases, it is clearly possible to save and improve millions of lives in four years by expanding access to well-known, cost-effective interventions. This new approach requires shifting our mind-sets in two areas. First, we must focus relentlessly on the priorities and outcomes that matter. Secondly, we need to focus on delivery, which I define as the art of getting things done. We have identified healthcare priorities based on data from our latest demographic and household survey, as well as other tools. It is clear from the data that we need to focus on improving maternal and child health. We must expand access to immunization against diseases that can be prevented by vaccination. We need to stop mother-to-child transmission of HIV. We must expand our malariaprevention and treatment programs. We need to deal aggressively with diarrheal diseases, pneumonia, and malnutrition. Finally, we must improve our healthcare logistics and supply-chain-management systems.
Several efforts will be necessary to improve delivery in all these areas. 1. Address demand-side challenges Health programs that only focus on supply-side interventions—for example, medical professionals, commodities, and facilities—miss opportunities to close what are often sizable gaps in demand for health services. We must unlock demand for maternal and neonatal health services. About 89 percent of pregnant women in Edo state seek antenatal-care services. Only about a third of women give birth in medical facilities, according to Edo State last demographic and health survey. Meanwhile, unsafe pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care are among the biggest killers in our state by our estimates, more than 1,000 women die each year due to complications from pregnancy and

delivery. About 70 percent of these deaths are due to preventable and treatable causes. Another 20,000 neonates die each year, also largely due to preventable causes. We cannot simply deliver health interventions and assume that women will use them. We must create incentives and reduce financial barriers so that women can access the services they need to keep themselves and their newborns healthy. 2. Deploy effective technologies Appropriate technology can dramatically increase the impact of our healthcare programs. Consider our emergency response effort, in which we will deploy GIS/GPS technology to enhance data collection and focus our programmatic responses. Using GIS technology to map and identify settlements missed by previous vaccination efforts, improve immunization surveillance, and track immunization teams in the field to ensure that they cover all households. As a result, we will be able to immunize many more children against preventable diseases. And also track the delivery of primary health care in rural areas. 3. Use data to drive fact-based decisions Good data are an absolute prerequisite of effective delivery. With timely, high-quality data, we can focus our interventions and guard against actions based on unrepresentative anecdotes. Our SURE-P maternal and child health program has a dedicated data-collection function that provides program managers with reliable and timely information. Each month, the program deploys monitoring and evaluation officers to primary health facilities to collect data. They report data to liaison officers in each Local Government, who send data on to the central program team in Benin. This provides crucial, regular insight into what's happening on the front lines so that the program team can identify issues that need further attention and intervention.
www.facebook.com/zenithmagazineonline
ZENITH MAN OF THE YEAR 4. The road ahead To save as many lives as possible, we must improve coordination of healthcare efforts undertaken by various LGAs and development partners, as well as partners in the private sector and civil society. We need robust data systems that can collate, analyze, and synthesize program information from various sources and feed it to decision makers. Given the scope of our ambition, we will also set up a dedicated team in the program-delivery unit with the right attitudes, skills, and mind-sets to drive results. How will all this work deliver better healthcare to underserved communities such as those in the rural settlement? Our Plan is to mobilize community leaders and civil-society organizations to increase demand for healthcare services. Local government officials must be equipped with planning information, sufficient vaccines, and essential therapies such as zinc/oral rehydration salts to treat diarrheal diseases. Local health workers and state officials must be provided with accurate information on service coverage and held accountable for achieving better healthcare outcomes. It is indeed possible to save millions of lives that might otherwise be lost to preventable causes. To succeed in this vital work, we must focus on outcomes; pay relentless attention to detail in implementation, and track results consistently. I plan to work with a team of dedicated expert and professionals in the Health sector to help the actualization of my vision, not just for primary Health care alone but for General Healthcare in Edo State. I want you to join me in this road. We can do it together. A Greater Edo State is possible MAI

MY BELIEF Be true to yourself; don't let anybody tell you what to do. It's your life, live it to the fullest. Don't live in anyone's shadow. Everyman builds his world in his own image. He has the power to choose, but no power to escape the necessity of choice. You are in control of your own destiny. Don't let anything hold you back from what you want to be. Don't look at yourself as a 'minority' and at the end of the day, God has given us the same arms, legs and brain as everyone else, so we have the same potential for greatness. I see perfection as that mirage-like puddle of water you see in the distance while walking or driving down in the hot desert. The closer you get to it, the further it becomes. The truth is it never existed. Perfection is an obstacle, a setback to finishing something you started. From experience I have come to realise that you don't have to feel completely confident and happy with whatever you set out to do. Just create the time and effect and at the end perfection will gradually come in. The next person you meet could change your life. I believe that entertainment are primarily meant to inspire, educate, inform, and at the same time indoctrinate, deliver fantasies and create impossibilities, and interests. And I do hope that my life continue to be a source of inspiration to many people as I continue to do what I love and hard to qualify. I can still remember it as if it was yesterday and the Lord said, "Go yea into the world and preach the gospel- the gospel of entertainment" that was so many years ago when I heard the call. From my early days with Nigerian Observer and Guardian Newspapers as a Cartoonist and later days in Spain as Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of Zenith Magazine, I did not give up. In this life anything worth having is never easy to obtain. Reason being the harder you work for something, the more you will appreciate it. Like the saying goes anything worth having is worth fighting for. As individual, we get lost in a moment, trapped stuck in a time that is why we ignore the present reality only in search of what tomorrow may be. There is no future in the past so don't live in it and if you lose today, then that is your fault, don't be mad if you don't get a tomorrow, because tomorrow is never promised. With this in mind I held onto my call.

RUN THE RACE OF YOUR LIFE In life, we must learn to hustle. Those who made it “Big” didn't just sit down and do nothing. They went after every opportunity, they sacrificed comfort and success became the end result. The best qualification you need in life is hustling and it is the magical word that opens all doors. In the process of hustling you will fail many times. Don't give up, keep hustling and always remember that failing is essential to success. According to Henry Ford,"Failure is only the opportunity to begin again, only this time more wisely." If you look at it from time immemorial, successful people have habit of using failure and rejection as a learning process instead of disappointment. In the immortal words of Napoleon Hill, “One of the most causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat.” Abraham Lincoln is an example of persistence, determination, perseverance and hard work. At the age of seven Abraham Lincoln and his family were forced out of their home. Young Lincoln had to work to support his family. He lost his mother at the age of nine and when he grew up, he was eager to read law but had no education. At 22 he lost his job as a store clerk. A year later, he ran for state legislature and lost. He didn't give up, that same year he went into business and ended up broke and in debt. It took him 17 years to repay the debt. At the age of 27, he had a nervous breakdown. Two year years later, he contested for the post of a speaker in his state legislature and lost. His predicaments were endless. At 31, he was defeated in his attempt to become an elector and four years later he was defeated while running for congress. At the age of 39, he lost his re-election bid. At 41, his four years old son died. At 42, he was rejected as a prospective land officer. At 45, he ran for the senate and lost. At 47, he lost the vice-presidential domination. Two years later, he ran for senate and lost again. At the age of 51, he was elected the President of the United States of America.
“Don’t sit down, get up and run the race of your life. If you don’t do it no body will do it for you. Its your life, do something about it.”

INSPIRATION To d a y, t h e w o r l d i s n o l o n g e r predictable. 100 years ago, our lives seemed simpler because our roles were more defined. All areas of our lives were defined, but today the case is different. In order to be happy and successful we must be multidimensional in everything we do. We belong to the era of technology. Happiness is the desire of every man and woman. On every continent, in every country and in every culture, when people are asked, "What do you want?" the most popular answer is "happiness." Happiness is what you need in other to make other life's goals like success, prosperity and relationships—feel meaningful and enjoyable. We toil hard every day to be able to achieve the basic needs that will give us happiness. We fight for it, we crave for it and we even die for it. In truth, happiness is a state of one's mind. It is something you do not look for. You do not have to chase it. Happiness is something that is in you and it's you alone that can create it. It is sad that most people try to look at happiness through their wealth, career, money and s u c c e s s , b u t i n th e a c tu a l fa c t happiness is something that you choose for yourself. If you put your happiness on your money, what will happen to you when you are broke and no money to spend that means you will be unhappy.
YOU THINK MONEY CAN BUY YOU
HAPPINESS?
YOU ARE PERFECTLY WRONG
“You will always be unhappy when you crave for materials things because when these things are not forth coming the end result will be unhappiness. The fear of not been able to get the material things you desire will also lead you to unhappiness. For you to be truly happy in this world, you need to free yourself and mind from material and negative things.” COPYRIGHT ZENITH MAGAZINE

DARLENE MADU Europe is ďŹ lled with fascinating African women creating a positive impact and each of them with their own compelling story. Her story is like a tale from the storybooks. It is the kind of story that bestsellers are made of. Perhaps, if Sidney Sheldon was alive, he would probably have made a lead character from her. She is a Nationalist and a rhetorician, exuding simplicity. She has a high sense of adventure and idealism, which he has combined effectively with patriotism. She embodies humility and compassion measured by her social impact. She ranks amongst one the most inuential Nigerian female Artistes living in Europe. Meet Darlene Madu. She has an unmistakable presence. She dominates her environment so effortlessly. In Belgium she has become a role model, an African icon. Her beginning has been a journey a sort of an adventure.

INSPIRATION
FOR THE PRESENT
According to Mark Houlahan, "If you want your life to be a magnificent story, then begin by realizing that you are the author and every day you have the opportunity to write a new page." In the immortal words of Angelina Jolie, “Without pain, there would be no suffering, without suffering we would never learn from our mistakes. To make it right, pain and suffering is the key to all windows, without it; there is no way of life.” For the present generation, life has no rules. We live in an era whereby we are intoxicated by shorty online tips and advice and blitzed with prescriptive ways to be better, live better and achieve more. For the present generation folks, there are multiple roads to wealth, health, success and failure. Whatever turn you take, there are no rules. All you need is play by your mind. Whatever plans you have or set out to achieve, first of all takes place in the conscious mind, reachi ng them i s i n “To achieve your goals, t h e subco you must first liberate n s c i o u s mind. GENERATION
LIFE HAS NO
RULE
set a goal and you did not accomplish that goal it is because of some faulty beliefs or fears that is standing as a stumbling block. To achieve your goals, you must first liberate your mind of any hindrance or fears. Reading books that inspire you is one way ticket to renew your mind and transform your energy into a better result. You can achieve anything if you are genuinely committed to it. The moment you conceive a goal, expand your thinking by experiencing more and doing more of the things that ignites your heart and soul. In today's society most of us live in a pre-ordained box of hopelessness, despair and dreams unfulfilled. Most of us never find that spark of divine energy that is needed to take us to the next level. You don't have to put up with defeat, despair, anxiety or poverty. You will do what you will become in life.

INSPIRATION
LIFE HAS NO RULES GO ABOUT IT WITH ALL YOU HAVE
There are new opportunities everywhere. Things are steadily evolving; lots of people are stepping out and claiming their places in the society. I am happy when I see young people pursue their dreams. I encourage you to take action to achieve your dreams. Don't let opportunities pass by. Like the saying goes "opportunity knock but once" Don't let obstacles, disabilities or your situation hinder your dreams. Life is a struggle; go about it with all you have. According to Oprah Winfrey, "Where there is no struggle, “Life is a struggle; there is no strength. As you set out to pursue your dream, have it mind that go about it with all ambition alone won't be the only trait you need. You need you have.” confidence to get you there. Along the way write out your plans, let them be your guidelines and motivations. Stick to your dream, after all it's your dream. As you go along to achieve your dream, always have in mind that in life there are no rules you only play by the game. How to play this game called life depends on you.
The role people play in your life doesn't matter if they are bringing you up or trying to pull you down. Their role is still important in your life. Let that person who works relentlessly to bring out the worst in you know how great it really make you feel. People we meet in our lives, give us strength to continue on with our journey. The time we spend with them leave us with a lasting memory. People will come and go into our lives quickly, but sometimes we are lucky to meet that one special person that will stay in our hearts forever no matter what.

BECAUSE WE BELIEVE "When the children of Israel left for the promised land, they did so because Moses had described to them a land that flowed with milk and honey. But he didn't mention that they would spend years getting there. Most meaningful progress comes in great phases but it takes faith to endure the phases that seem to be as rewarding as the ultimate destination. Hold on to your dreams and prophecies”
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED This opening situation rightly describes the situation of Zenith Magazine. Like the saying goes, life is a journey. Like every journey, it's full of ups and downs. So in order to achieve anything in life, it's very important that you know yourself worth. Having a vision or a goal will give your life a purposeful direction and learn to stake your claim, set a goal and look forward to achieving it. When some of us left for Europe, we were not expecting to see a land that flow with milk and honey or see trees where money grows. So when I arrived Spain via Air France en route Paris it was not a surprise when I found out that things were contrary to what we were told back home in Africa. First you have language barrier for those of us coming from an English speaking country and you have cold to confront with. Finally by His Grace you overcome these obstacles and you set about looking for jobs but to your greatest disappoint no jobs are available and surviving became a do or die affair. In bid to survive most Africans choose illegal means at the end many were deported and while large numbers ended up in prison. But four friends set out to do something different. With hope, the dream of starting a magazine creeps in, the dream of re-building, restructuring and leading. Thus ZENITH magazine was born. With little resources three young men, Prince Ojay Airewele, Victor Taylor and Andy Omoregie set out to create a journalistic institution.
47
Publishing a magazine in a non-English speaking country like Spain is a difficult task. Though at the initial stage, some notable wealthy Nigerians pledged to offer their financial support for the magazine. But as the days passed by, it was an empty promise as most of them could not fulfil their pledges. Unbowed and undeterred, the three friends went ahead with their dreams, even when they could not pay their house rents, made sure the magazine comes out. Each month, the magazine transformed into a journal that represents the African interest. When we founded ZENITH magazine some years ago, we set out to realise our cheeky dreams and importantly to create a magazine that the average black man will be proud of. To provide stories that conveys the excitement of the African Community in all ramifications. Also to provide a common ground for information and knowledge that will be shared among our African brothers and sisters regardless of their interest. In the past years, we all have witnessed an endless abuse of the will of our people. We have seen a wanton disregard for transparency amongst Africans. You and I have also observed with dismay, the endless image battery by some irresponsible and unresponsive nogood Africans. This in essence confirms an endless regurgitation of pain, suffering, and fast decay of our social-political and economic institutions within the African Community in Spain.

BECAUSE WE BELIEVE
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED In June 2002, your darling magazine was finally launched to the general public. Like the sound of a drum in a market place and echo in a newly completed but unoccupied building, the razzmatazz and hula of the launching of ZENITH magazine vibrated for a long time. Reality set in after the euphoria of the successful launch had died down. It was then decided that in spite of the harsh economic situation which the magazine found itself, ZENITH will continue with its principles to help build a better African Community in Spain and abide by the ethics of the profession But during 2005 and 2006, the magazine went off the streets due to in-house problems. For several months, the African Community was denied their favourite magazine. But because we believe, we did not give up. In the words of Rev. Jesse Jackson, “People who are victimized may not be responsible for being down, but they must be responsible for getting up. Change has always been led by those whose spirits are bigger than their circumstances... I do have hope.”
In line with the evolving situations and dictates of events, ZENITH was born and re-born but with only two of the Directors, Prince Ojay Airewele and Diamond Andy Omoregie and not too long a better ZENITH quietly makes its entry into the streets. Since then ZENITH hits the streets every month. ZENITH is not just another celebrity magazine. It's about you, the reader- the true celebrity, about your beauty and style, your joy. Mind, hope, aspirations and well-being. For a very long period, the picture painted of Africa to the European Nation has been disappointing. It's always the story of tired people seen on television, who lift their arms to swipe at flies as hunger rages in the wilderness. This present negative images of women and children displaced by war and civil strife as rampaging soldiers kill, loot and rape. In Spain the Spanish Television bombards their viewing audience with pictures of desperate African immigrants arriving in boats in the South of Spain. Sadly enough, no one tell us about the wealth and diversity of Africa rich history. Scientist told us that mankind originated from Africa and no one is talking about it. No one tell us about the beautiful streets of Ikoyi, Victoria Island or the beauty of Abuja. At ZENITH, this is what we do. This is what we believe in. According to Joseph Addison, “Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.” In the words of World icon, Muhammad Ali, “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life” Most problems we have in life come from fear. Fear of failure, fear of poverty, fear of not been loved, fear of armed robbers, fear of death. Fear can keep you in bondage; it can limit your potentials and make a mess of your life. Be positive, hold on to your dreams, be a true Ambassador of your country and lastly keep reading ZENITH, and help keep the dream alive.

BECAUSE WE BELIEVE
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED I hope whatever your dream is, it will inspire you to take action towards it and more importantly find the inner peace you deserve. No matter what your dream is in life, never give up. I didn't give up on my dream, so why would you give up yours. Let me tell you about my dream and why I didn't give up. For those of us from Africa, especially Nigeria where I am from, we live on hope. That is why many of them in spite of acute difficulties they face in life, they do not opt for suicide, a cowardly way of dealing with death. Most Africans hang on to life because hope the combination of expectation and desire has not let them down. Hope has remained their ultimate discovery and believing that things would get better. Africa is renowned as one of the most colourful continents in the world, with wide variety of people who have different cultures, habits, traditions and religions. You and I know that what affect Africa today most is poverty and underdevelopment which are now buffeted by perennial bad governance and debilitating corruption. When most Africans lost hope in the system, the best thing for them was to look elsewhere. In the late 80s and early 90s, large numbers of African immigrants began to travel out to Europe. Going to the Western world was the order of the day. The situation was bad, the economy was deteriorating. No jobs for University graduates. These people were not ready to give up on their dreams. I came to Spain in 1997 as an African Immigrant in search of a better living. My vision for coming to Europe is to be a big time publisher and nothing was going to stop me. To my greatest surprise, Spain was totally different from where I am coming from in terms of Language and culture was very stressful and it generated insecurity in me. Come to think of it, people tend to feel secure in a world where they understand the laws of the land. The individual who grows up in a culture understands that culture and can get along with most people in it. But if exposed to a different culture that he does not understand he may experience culture shock and generally feels anxious. Then cold was another problem that I encountered. With all these challenges, I was not ready to give up. According to H. Jackson Brown, Jr, “Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts.”

I have also observed with dismay, the endless image battery by some irresponsible and unresponsive no-good Africans. This in essence confirms an endless regurgitation of pain, suffering, and fast decay of our socialpolitical and economic institutions within the African Community. Most people are inclined to doing diverse evil, but no one wants to be associated with his own immoralities. Like the legendary musician, Peter Tosh said, “Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die.” In the words of Rev. Jesse Jackson, “People who are victimized may not be responsible for being down, but they must be responsible for getting up. Change has always been led by those whose spirits are bigger than their circumstances... I do have hope.” It is based on hope that the idea of floating a magazine came into my mind. As I set out to realise my cheeky dream, I knew it will not be easy but I wasn't ready to give up. I already have it in mind what I was going to do.
