UCHENDU PRECIOUS ONUOHA
Ever since I was a child, and in college, I dreamt of being a writer and working in the press, radio and television media. But I never imagined I would be working as a foreign correspondent outside the shores of father land. I take pride in my job not because of the money that it gives, but because I love what I do. I know I have the responsibility to collect information and disseminate same to a large and heterogeneous audience located far and wide. As it is the responsibility of the Pilot to get the plane off the ground with no problem and land the passengers safely to their destination, so it is my responsibility to source and gather facts to inform, educate, feed and deliver news to my audience through the press. And of importance to me also is to get my audience feedback on the impact of my information and articles. That forms the most satisfying aspect of my job.

I attended Queen's school Enugu, this is where I was moulded into a lady (laughs), at the tender age of 10 I didn't understand why our teachers (mainly British, Indians and U.K trained Nigerian teachers) would insist so much on our way of walking, talking, eating and acting like ladies but today, I speak very fluent Spanish, Igbo and of course English.

PERSONALITY
“I Never Believed I Will Live Up To Fifty Years Considering Where I Grew Up.” -ALHAJI KAYODE MUSTAPHA Sir, when you arrived Europe, what were the challenges you encountered considering the fact that you come from an English country? There were lots of challenges because our orientation back home was different. But after sometime I was able to overcome the challenges. But I must be frank it was not easy. Tell us the challenges you encountered when you were about to establish your business? First and foremost, finance is a major problem. Again getting the necessary document is not easy. Unlike Nigeria where you just look for a place and erect your structure. It's not like that here. Again you need the town council to approve and give you license to operate. Also you need a lawyer to prepare all legal documents. If you sum it up, all these cost money. For those who intend to go into business in Spain, what's your advice? My advice is that they should pray over it first and secondly, they should be serious. They should be time conscious. The beginning will not be rosy. Like me, I take my business serious. You will always find me in my shop, whether customers are coming or not. Sir, if you are not doing business, how do you unwind? I stay at home with my family. I love my wife and children a lot. So I use that opportunity to spend quality time with them. Sir, tell us the happiest day in your life? The happiest day in my life was when I clocked fifty years. I never believed I will live up to fifty years considering where I grew up. I grew up in a rural and remote part of Lagos, which is Mushin.
Sir for the teeming readers of Zenith Magazine tell us who you are? I’m Alhaji Kayode Mustapha, I am the President of the Yoruba Community in Spain. I am an entrepreneur with business here in Spain and Nigeria. I am happily married and blessed with children.
As the president of the Yoruba Community, what measures are you using to bring all Nigerians together?
I tried to reach out to Nigerians of different organizations. I attend social events, I do my best to encourage and promote the Nigerian unity here in Spain and beyond. Though it’s not easy with their support and cooperation, I will be able to attend to their yearning and aspiration, You are a man with large heart, popularly known for your because it has to be a collective effort. philanthropic gesture. Sir what influence you to help your African brothers and sisters? I believe it's an inbuilt thing and I believe it's the work of God. I believe As the President of the Yoruba Community in Spain, what is the as a Child of God, you have to be generous. I don't know it until I hear experience like? people talk about it. I give God the glory for what I am today and for Well it's now very tedious, unlike when I was President only in MadriBut now, I am the President of the Yoruba Community all over Spain. So you what I do. see it's not easy. I have to move, from Madrid to Malaga, Malaga to Valencia, from Valencia to Barcelona. It's very challenging. But all said, I Sir, what gives you inspiration? I am from an average family. I know when somebody is in need. So give God the glory and I am happy that I am called to serve my people. my upbringing prepared me for what I am today. It influenced me a lot. I grew up in an environment when you see someone with nothing to eat. You see poverty everywhere. So my childhood experience influenced me a lot. Sir, take your mind back, how was growing up in Nigeria like? My childhood was tough but at the same time it was that of mixed blessings. After my secondary school, I went straight to the Nigerian Air Force. I served the country for seven years. I had to leave when a friend invited me down to Europe.

How will you describe Nigerian music? Nigerian music is the best in the world just that the Nigerian music industry produces music every second.
List ten items you cannot do without? God, my family, Numark NF7 wheel of steel, Laptop, Music, mobile phones, my fans and internet are the top ten items I can't do without.

The APC national chairman, chief John Odigie Oyegun was in Madrid Spain on March 4, 2016 to meet with the APC members Spain chapter. The group led by Comrade Stephen Adeayo Tella and their spokesperson and media director, Prince Kelly O. Udebhulu hosted the chairman to a dinner party and press session. The press session was covered by the Daily Independent foreign correspondent, Uchendu Precious Onuoha, APC Spain media and Zenith magazine media crew. Below are the excerpts of the interview with chief John Odigie Oyegun.
As the chairman of APC the ruling party in Nigeria, what are your achievements and challenges so far? I would say am lucky and privileged to be the first national chairman of course there was one interim chairman before. It was a privilege to be entrusted with that respect. I am running a party that rose up from the ashes of 3 to 4 other major parties, the ACN, NDP, CPC, part of APGA and others.
And they turned it into a fighting force, of course with the intense cooperation of a lot of other major stakeholders of the party; we were able to turn it into a fighting force that succeeded in upstaging the government that was in office at that time which a lot of people thought and believed until the last minute it was not doable. For obvious reasons, it has never happened before, because they had access to so much resources and patronage that a lot of people thought it was undoable. But the good thing is that at that time, the Nigerian public was generally fed up with 16 years of PDP government.
.
INTERVIEW The Nigerian public wanted a new direction, the Nigerian public was yearning for integrity, they needed leaders they could trust in governance and leaders they could believe in. On top of the stage so to say was such a personality in the person of Muhammadu Buhari, who is now president of the nation. And it was so clear, it was so obvious that he was the kind of person the nation needed at this period, a man who is transparent, obviously incorruptible, a man of very strong will and mind. And the only person who had the type of courage that it takes like we are experiencing today to tackle the MONSTER called corruption. I would say, it has been a pleasure, a wonderful experience, tough and difficult. I had to rely majorly on the compassionate cooperation of other stakeholders that together made the victory possible.
Many Nigerians in Spain and diaspora are affected by the economic downturn of their host countries. Many are distressed and want go back home. Is there any plan on ground back home to rehabilitate such people? I don’t know about rehabilitating those coming back home. But coming to join the struggle to change Nigeria, yes, and no question about that, they are very welcome. Talking about the economic downturn, it’s obvious that this is a worldwide phenomenon. Most nations of the world are experiencing economic difficulties. The Nigerian hazards originated from misgovernment over 16 years ago. The lack of vision, the lack of direction, the lack of that will to build a nation and create something that was not there before. To be precise, the PDP government seems to have been contented within this period sitting on the resources that we have, distributing it, consuming it without creating for the future, without building for the future, without putting the economy on the footing for a sustainable growth.
Chief Oyegun with Hon. Adeayo Tella
That was the period we have excess crude account. Meaning that we had more money coming in than we have planned from the price of crude our main export. The time crude was sold 130 to $140/barrel. We had that kind of money, but we did not plan, we did not build a single petro-chemical complex, we did not build a single refinery, instead even in the midst of plenty, we were still importing refined crude. That was how visionless and totally plan less the situation was before APC took over. So to come back directly to your question, we too, apart from that plan less-ness, we also are victims of this major collapse of the price of crude from 140 to 30 dollars a barrel which is over 70% drop. So as fathers, just imagine what happens when you go to work and at the end of the month you come back with an income 70% less than what you have been used to. That has put us today in a situation of lack of infrastructures and total lack of facilities. So if you are coming, you know you are coming to join the major struggle to rebuild the foundations of our nation. Our nation is potentially great, make no mistake about that, we are resource blessed, there’s no question about that. And with the type of leadership we have now, we are going to rebuild that foundation. But what I emphasize is that, like you a r e experiencing here, these are hard times. So the choice is yours, do you want to come h ome, come and join the struggle there won’t be any bed of roses, one has to be practical, and there won’t be any soft landing. The foundations have been badly fractured that we have to rebuild. Once we get it right, the sky is the limit for Nigeria. That is the only thing one can offer.

Chief John Oyegun with Media Crew We have an array of Nigerian professionals in diaspora, how can the government harness this opportunity to turn the issue of brain drain in Nigeria into brain gain? Ans. There is no question at all, those of you professionals abroad, this is really the time your knowledge, skills, experience and expertise are required because this is not the age of professional politicians per say. We need technocrats to get us out of the mess the economy has been plunged into. So for those of you that have specialized knowledge and skills, this is the time and you must hasten otherwise we are not going to make the kind of progress at the rate we must put in place for our country to recover.
What plans are in process for Do you think the new trend where Nigerians in diaspora to vote in the election victories are decided by the courts will augur well for the next dispensation? Nigerian democracy? That time will come, it will happen. You have heard the commitment of Buhari’s administration to the slogan we are shouting everyday which is, change. Again we have to fundamentally change the society and our attitude to politics and reestablish respect for right and disdain for what is wrong. We must establish respect basically for due process and rule of law. You can see that the electioneering has just been through, some of the cases are just been concluded in Rivers state, Bayelsa, Abia, Akwa Ibom. Cases which were visited with a lot of violence. Most cases went to Supreme Court for those who lost because of the nature of the electoral process. To be plain, to venture into that it has to be technically fraught to dangers and abuses and not for politicians to reap where they did not sow. The change we are now beginning to put in place is one of the thing that will go pari-pasu when we start to respect right and condemnation for wrong. There is no question at all given the large diaspora population that we have. What I have noticed here is the kind of passion with which you people have embraced this idea of change. It would be wrong to say NO, we cannot extend the possibility of diaspora voting, but the time must be right and the atmosphere must be right.

Let me say this in general terms then I go back to the APC change, the general Mantra, the challenges that are presently facing the regime. What is important is that the president believes strictly in the rule of law, strictly in enforcing existing laws. I am sure those of you who visit very often must have come across this talk that the APC say they have won the election but they are not behaving as if they are in power, meaning that people still have this old concept that power is having a sledge hammer and smashing everybody who is in your path. But the president is dedicating himself to due process and respect for rule of law. So he is shunning the big stick so to say and believes strongly that you can change society only when you have changed people’s attitude and it becomes second nature for them to do what is right and shun what is wrong. It’s going to be tough and difficult process, but it’s the only way we can depart from the past where might was right and unfortunately it sticked in the entire society. But the Buhari’s government is going to be very strict in enforcing due process, strict on the rule of law without respecter of persons. If you fail foul of the law, you pay the price whoever you are. There will be no exemptions and nobody is going to be too big to be touched. That is the only way change can become permanent. But it’s a longer route, the road we are travelling.
INTERVIEW Before coming to Spain, what was your impression about Nigerians in Spain? I knew there is a very active and large Nigerian population here facing the struggles of life and the rest of it. I knew also there was an active APC wing here, one of the most active worldwide that I have experienced and that is why I chose to come here. I know that the economy worldwide is taking a tumble and I know you people are affected like people anywhere else. But the important thing is that in the midst of that, you have held your head very high and still truncating in social positive activities which are contributing in projecting the image of our country particularly at this time. So far I know it’s not yet “Uhuru” but I am impressed by the road that you are travelling.
. As APC national chairman and leader what advise do you have for other leaders in implementing youth empowerment policies?
“I knew there is a very active and large Nigerian population here facing the struggles of life and the rest of it.”
The issue of youth is inevitability. It is inevitable because whether we like it or not, the youth at a certain stage are the inheritance of the nation. And everyone must endeavor to create opportunities for them and instill hope into their lives. Nothing like a youthful population that has lost hope. So they must always be engaged, they must always be challenged. The call in part of government is improving and restoring hope to the youths of the nation.

APC SPAIN CHAPTER GRAND DINNER FOR
CHIEF JOHN OYEGUN
Members of the Spain Chapter of the All Progressives Congress today hosted the National Chairman of the Party, Chief John Odigie Oyegun to a grand dinner in Madrid. Chief John Odigie Oyegun, in his accommodative and humility as always, said he was proud that Nigerians in Spain are attuned to happenings at home. He encourages them to be more proactive in politics stating that unless they fight unrelentlessly, the old guard will never give way for the Youth to excel in politics back home. It is only by being interested that anyone could change this. He was effusively thankful for the Chapter and praise them on their organization.

WATCH WITH PRINCE OJAY AIREWELE
A 1997 Geography graduate of the University of Maiduguri, Abba grew up in Maiduguri, Borno State, where he attended Government Primary and Secondary Schools in Maiduguri. He did his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Akwa Ibom State in 1998 and joined the Nigeria Police Force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 2000. 16 years after, he has earned for himself the reputation of a diligent, no-nonsense and intelligence officer, such that the police authorities and politicians are proud to have and work with. And from get go, he demonstrated to his bosses that he knew why he joined the force, and has kept at it. After completing his training in the Police Academy WudilKano, Kyari was posted to Adamawa State where he served in Song, Girei and Numan Local Government Area with remarkable successes in crime bursting. He stood out when he led the arrest of a notorious armed robber called, ‘Ndagi’ a.k.a Spirit. Spirit held Numan, the third biggest town in Adamawa State hostage for several years before his eventual arrest. From then, there was no looking back for this intelligent officer with a sharp investigative mind and sometimes deadly courage. Kyari joined the Police Mobile Force, popularly known as Mopol in 2005 and was there for about five years until his posting to Lagos Command October in 2010. He was deployed as the second in command (2/IC) to SARS and later became the OC SARS on January 15, 2011. It was said that the then Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, who decorated him with several awards, resisted ceaseless attempts by the Police high Command to have Kyari redeployed out of Lagos. This was on account of his amazing achievements in combating the menace of armed robbery and kidnapping in Lagos. Kyari has a long litany of exploits under his belt. He was instrumental in the arrest of the most notorious armed robber in the South West, Mr. Abiodun Egunjobi, otherwise known as Godogodo. Godogodo was arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, with some of his gang members. SARS recovered 42 AK47 rifles from the gang. Godogodo confessed to have killed over 150 Nigerians, including over 50 policemen during his 10 years reign as the kingpin of South West armed robbers.
There was also the arrest of Benjamin Osinachi a.k.a China and his entire gang of kidnappers based in Ghana, but operated in Nigeria. Their victims included a sitting High Court Judge, a sitting local government chairman, many expatriates, amongst others. China and his gang members held South West residents by the jugulars for long. But Kyari with his men, were said to have deployed, “Advanced Technology and brought the kidnappers down.” Several AK47 rifles and thousands of ammunitions were recovered from the gang. The defeat of Mr. Andrew and his gang of deadly kidnappers in Igando area of Lagos metropolis was spearheaded by Kyari and his men. SARS recovered 12 AK47 rifles, GPMGs and rocket launchers from the gang. Also during his tenure in Lagos, SARS arrested Chinansa and gang in the Ajangbadi area of Lagos. The SARS men recovered 11 AK47 rifles, rocket launchers and GPMGs from them. There was also the shocking arrest of the General Overseer of a church located at Ejigbo. The General Overseer was part of the gang of robbers that attacked the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The gang was later discovered to have operated at Ogun, Kwara and Rivers States. When they were eventually arrested, police recovered five AK47 rifles and GPMGs. Kyari was also instrumental in the arrest of the kidnappers of former Minister of Finance, Dr. Okonjo Iweala’s mother. The kidnappers used to operate in Delta, Edo and Port Harcourt. This gang killed the former deputy Governor of Anambra State and kidnapped the wife of a sitting Supreme Court Judge. Kyari and his men also arrested the kidnappers that abducted Dangote’s cousin. Another gang that kidnapped a British citizen, Mr. Dickson Lee, along the International Airport Road, was also defeated. The Briton was kidnapped moments after landing in Nigeria. There was the arrest of Obinna in Onitsha. Obinna was the most notorious sponsor and kingpin of robbers who specialized in hijacking trailers carrying containers. SARS has also in its feather, the arrest of Emmanuel aka Arab. Arab and his gang members were described as deadly. 12 AK 47 rifles, including four AK47 rifles belonging to Policemen they killed during bank robbery in Kwara State were recovered from them. Kyari and his men led the rescue of a young Kwara female model in Delta State. The policeman and his men also led in the rescue operation of Alhaji Fashola, owner of Kings Petroleum in Isheri Oshun, Lago Lagos residents cannot forget the arrest of the nanny who kidnapped three boys belonging to same parents. The kids were called ‘the Orekoyas kids’. The nanny was arrested within three days that the case was transferred to Kyari and his men. Few days before Kyari got his posting letter to Abuja, he led the arrest of Lekki armed robbers who attacked the First City Monument Bank (FCMB). They killed three policemen and a girl who was hawking fish, carted away money and escaped through the waterways. Splintered members from the Lekki bank robbery gang recently attacked banks at Ijede and Ogolonto areas of Ikorodu, Lagos. They escaped, as usual, through the waterways and Kyarideployed his Technology and arrested four of the Ikorodu bank robbers. Kyari has received a lot of awards to mark his achievements. But to mention a few; there’s the IGP Commendation Award for Courage 2012, 2013, 2014. Governor’s Award for Gallantry, Leadership and Service excellence 2011, 2012, 2013. There’s Commissioner of Police Commendation Award for Courage 2011. Best Anti- Crime Police Officer in West Africa from Security Watch Africa, Star Award from CRAN 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. A very shy guy, Abba wouldn’t talk about his work and how he does it, but his men and people who have come across him would attest to the fact that his best attribute is that he sees himself as a Team Leader and not a boss in the discharge of his duties and co-ordination of men and resources to fight crime and criminals. One of his boys told me that” “OC is a whiz kid. He is too much. He understands technology and uses it to track down criminals. Also, he is a leader. He motivates us his men. We eat and drink with him. He attends our weddings, birthdays and naming ceremonies of our children and funeral of our relatives. In short, he is like a brother to us and leads from the front. He is always there for us and even teaches us how to key into technology while doing our work. In short, the OC is wonderful.” So, here’s a brilliant officer who is also a great leader, who is ever ready to learn and teach others so the war against crime and criminals may succeed. No wonder the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, like his predecessor, was full of praises for Abba Kyari as he broke the news to Lagosians of the rescue of the three female students and the arrest of their kidnappers. He couldn’t be headed anywhere else but the top having stayed on top of his game from the moment he joined the Police.

This book is a gift. Many people in this world are going through difficult situations, they need a book like this to give them hope and encourage them to believe that they should not let setbacks curtail their dreams. With evident simplicity, using his personal life story, Andy Omoregie explores the paradox of self- esteem and takes you into the world based on strong demonstrations in actual human experience. Check out chapter one, he wrote from his personal human angle, "When I was a child growing up in my hometown Benin-City, I used to go to the river in my village. That was the source of our daily water. I was always fascinated by the calmness and stillness of the river. It’s just there waiting, as people of all ages would gather to fetch water or play by the river”
As you read along in this book, you will learn to accept the changing nature of all things. In life both success and failure come and go. The time was 11pm. Then, the unexpected happened. A man stepped out of the shadows and pointed a gun directly at the woman standing next to me; I was so frightened that I took to my heels. From a safe distance, I began to watch the unfolding drama. “Your money or your life,” the man said. The woman turned and looked him in the face and said, “Young man you can harm me because you have the power. But that won’t be necessary because you are God’s child and as a child of God, I love you too” The man lower his gun and said “Crazy woman, get lost” he fled.” “Life I s Like A River” And Other Inspirational Articles is an indispensable companion to anyone who seek to succeed in life because this book will motivate you to succeed in life no matter your condition. AS AN AFRICAN IMMIGRANT COMING FROM AN ENGLISH COUNTRY, WHAT WERE THE CHALLENGES YOU ENCOUNTERED WHEN YOU ARRIVED IN SPAIN? The first Challenge was actually the cold, even after 19 years of living here I still can't handle the winter. Then the food was another main challenge because at the age of 21, I was more into snacks than food but my late fatherin-law made it as a duty to make me eat their dishes and he taught me to cook them too. The third important challenge was the language but as I am good in learning languages, I learnt so fast and was speaking Spanish within 6 months of Arrival. I guess I learnt so fast because I had English speaking people around me, so I was forced to learn their language if I was interested in communicating WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE TO NIGERIANS IN SPAIN? My first message to my fellow Nigerians is to know that they are like a mirror through which others view our country so they should think of the image they are portraying. Nigeria has very talents, stars and rising stars, I encourage them to do their best to gain their respect here because Spaniards love music and culture, and they would support and promote any outstanding artist be he black or white. Secondly, I would advise them to try to adapt to the society where they live, they hardly socialize with the Spaniards. Most of them don't have the interest in learning the Spanish culture and Language. I would love to congratulate our Spanish based musicians like Tommix, Illuminator, McLevit, T Why, Darey Steel etc, for the great job there are doing. A big kudos to all Spanish based entertainers. I am so proud of them.

SO WHAT WAS IT LIKE GROWING UP? Though I was born at Onitsha in Anambra State, I grew up at Savage Crescent in G.R.A, Enugu. I come from a large family, I have 6 siblings (3 boys and 3 girls) and I am the first of the 7 children of my parents. I love being the elder sister/second mummy to them till date. I love my childhood because I had fun organising parties, acting in my school's dramatic society/club. I was the stage manager while ZULU ADIGWE (Mr B) was our Artistic director, I had a dancing group and would spend hours practising with them, and I also designed my own clothes as my dream then was to be a designer, model, dancer, actress (laughs). I had loads of foreign friends from Europe, America and Asia. I developed the love for touring and photography from spending my whole day during holidays with my Japanese friends (Eng. and Mrs Kurosawa). We used to tour around Nigeria, tasting different local dishes, snapping pictures and buying souvenirs AS A MARRIED & VERY PRETTY LADY, HOW DO YOU WADE OFF ADMIRERS? (Laughs) thanks for the compliments, I am flattered. Most men respect my wish if they truly want my friendship but the naughty ones ends up getting on my nerves. I love men who respect ladies, I mean the perfect gentlemen.

SPICE VISION “NO PAIN NO GAIN”
Too bad and most times I asked myself why? The truth is, for you to really live a complete or successful life, one need to have money, that's you have to be rich. No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money. A man develops in mind, soul, and body by making use of things, and society is so organized that man must have money in order to become the possessor of things; therefore, the basis of all advancement for man must be the art of getting rich. Yes, make money have plenty of it. Sadly enough, money is not taught in schools. Schools focus on scholastic and professional skills, but not on financial skills. The truth is that the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle class struggle in debt is because the subject of money is taught at home and on the streets and not in school. Go to school, get a degree, but go to the streets and hustle and make money. In life nothing good comes easy; you must work hard to get what you want. But the beauty of it all is that every hard work has a reward. Spice Vision Edosa latest song “No pain no gain” is a justification of that statement. Spice Vision Edosa one of Nigeria celebrated Artistes based in Europe is a victim of no pain no gain. Today his pain has transformed into gain.

UCHENDU PRECIOUS ONOUHA SHARED HIS LIFE EXPERIENCES AS AN AFRICAN JOURNALIST LIVING IN SPAIN
The most challenging aspect of my job is that other people depend on me for adequate information on issues. And I am like a vehicle that conveys information from abroad to home, and vice versa. Since 2012, I have been the foreign correspondent of the Daily Independent newspaper and the Nigerian Masterweb in Spain and Europe respectively. During this period, I have been a voice for Nigerians living in Spain and have made their voice heard. And have reported and published numerous articles, interviews, embassy activities and other issues that affect Nigerians living in Spain and Europe. Newspaper foreign correspondents are few these days as many Nigerian papers and magazines cannot afford to maintain and pay the salary of a foreign correspondent. But I am just one among the few lot that choose to do what I do for the passion I have for my profession and career. I am so proud to have represented and served the press reputably in my status as a foreign correspondent. Sourcing breaking news, interviews, covering important events preparing and reporting articles of great interest to the editors for publication is part of my routine job. My profession lays on me the onus of a watchdog and societal watchman. In exact sense, like a literal guard dog that barks when it observes a trespasser, my duty requires informing others when problem is noticed. And as a guardian, I have to provide the citizens with adequate information they must have about their leaders as to prevent the abuse of power by those in authority and to inform the people about those that are causing them harm. My job has given me recognition by the government and people, as I was given award recently as “EXAMPLARY CITIZEN” by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Spain, in appreciation of my immense contributions to the cause of the Nigerian community. That means much for someone’s effort and work to be recognized and rewarded by his own people or Nation. I believe that it will go a long way to inspire others to strive to care for the plight of their fellow citizens. Journalism as foreign correspondent gives me exposure and access to information and who is who in the world. In my job, I have been opportune to cover important events, meet and interview ex-Presidents, Governors, Ambassadors, Sportsmen, Stars, Politicians, death incidents, and victims of acid attacks, International conventions and lots more.
Among the very important personalities I have interviewed are, her Excellency, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu the former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, his Excellency Olusegun Obasanjo, exPresident of Nigeria, Otunba Gani Adams the Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) leader, Helen Mukoro the founder and leader of Union de Todos party in Spain, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu the governorof Abia state of Nigeria, Dr. George Manuwuike Chairman Board of Trustees Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Europe (NIDOE), Pastor Elvis Iruh the publisher, The Voice Magazine, Mabel Mark, victim of acid attack among others too numerous to mention. Major and memorable events covered include, The Voice of Achievers Award in Netherlands 2014, Ambassador Ojukwu Town Hall Meetings in Spain, Book presentation in Vancouver Canada, NNAUSA's 27th Annual National convention Stamford, Conneticut in USA, NIDO Europe AGM 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden among others. Within this period, I have made about 200 published articles in the press. My major target is to be among the journalists that will cover the events of the Rapture, Resurrection and the Judgement day. And after that I will sign off. When travelling to spots and source of information or incidents, I am always thinking about my readers and audience. I want my readers to know that when I conduct intricate interviews and reports, I am thinking of you. I want my readers to be well informed as your satisfaction is in the forefront of what I do. Your adequate information of news is of utmost importance to me and the Editors I work with as a team to bring the news to your reach. I want to encourage other journalist and those who want to make a career in journalism to go for what they want and love what they do. Don’t relent as it is your duty to shine the light for others to follow. And don’t be scared. With consistency your efforts will gain recognition. Irrespective of the obstacles and barriers do what you love and love what you do. It may not be the easiest path but with determination you can accomplish and attain any height. I am encouraged to do better when I receive positive criticisms and commendations from people about my works and especially the impacts it makes in their lives. I don’t see myself as having accomplished anything or arrived yet. Rather putting aside the success and failures of yesterday, I march forward to attain to greater heights in my career as to live a legacy and a footprint behind when I am gone. Inside me, I have a yearning, urge, hunger, thirst and appetite for journalism and writing. Writing is the food I eat, it is the water I drink, it is the air I breathe, and it is my music. And for me to live is to write and to write is gain and life indeed.

THE TRUTH ABOUT
MANFESTO “NETETE” KING
CHILDHOOD
EXPERIENCE
My childhood is not quite different from every other little average child in Nigeria. I grew up in the streets, with the belief that life holds a better future no matter where one grows up from. It was quite a daily process to go sell one food item or the other for my mum. I grew up as a hard working young man because my parents did not have all I wanted to make me a happier child so I started learning how to source for wealth at a tender age. Sometimes, I even save money with my mum that I gather from petty trading after school hour. That was how I became strong and hard working as a growing child.
As a musician, the experiences varies, mine has been more of ups and down. Sometimes as musician the story you hear sometimes frightens you, you hear this or that. Things you don’t even have knowledge of some few people just forge it and want to drag your name down, the funniest aspect is that the more they do that the more popular they make you. They think they’re taking from you not knowing they’re helping you up. Well I would rather say the biggest experience is the fact that people appreciate what you do and say them to your face. It give joy, fulfilment and d strength to carry on.
GROWING UP
Growing up in Nigeria taught me the hard way to life, it taught me never to depend on anybody not even my parents. I grew up in a society where virtually everybody is a hustler. It was indeed a very big lesson and today, the reward is all I get. “Never to be a lazy man, always working tirelessly”
CHALLENGES
The biggest among them was language barrier, for almost 4 months I could hardly talk well in Spanish language or communicate with any one. But with time I was able to overcome it. The inability to work with whatever level of degree one acquires in Nigeria here in Europe is a one thing too had to comprehend. I worked as “Peon” on the construction obra [sites] for a long period of time. Wash dishes in the hotel, became a cook apprentice, in fact it was total opposite of what I thought Europe was. From there I kept my dream alive, saved money for my career and today here I am.
EARLY STAGE
I started music at a very tender age. I was between 6 and 7 years when I first discovered I had great talent, my mum was a leader of a cultural group that normally rehearsed in my house. One fateful day I opted to sing chorus with them, it was there and then they discovered I was quite a good listener to all their previous rehearsals as I could blend with practically all the songs they sang, and they immediately made me a member of their group. That was how it first started. Later, I joined the school and church junior choir to further strengthen my potentials. At the age of 9, I was already making waves in my school and my church.

SERMON “Most churches have lost the solemnity, inspiration, freshness, and refreshing that comes with Christian music in Bible days”
Evangelist Chi Benedicta Okonkwo Since the fall, Adam and all generations after him have become susceptible to evil imaginations and actions. Through the ages, mankind has elicited the evil traits in many different ways. Man himself has a sin-generating mind. Sin, itself, is inexhaustible. It is brewed in the depth of human heart. Man´s craving for evils and vices are insatiable. Thus, the contemporary man- youths, adults, boys, girls, rich, poor, educated, illiterates, invalids and deformed, restricted and free-have some newly devised set of evils and vicious values he engages in. Since the flood, the heart of man has always been evil. God saw the whole imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart, and concluded that it was evil continually-every year, every day, every hour, and every moment. He never deviated into good. Such is the authentic account of the whole race of mankind. Such were all men before God brought the flood upon the earth. The mind of the modern man is a sin-generative machine. Increase in technology meant increase in evil. The advent of the television, video, computer, internet and their potential of conveying thoughts in picture, colour, Language or motion is accompanied by increased engagement in entertainments and pleasure. The television, for instance, impresses some vices in the mind of youth and adult, and make Light of violence, hooliganism, murder and assault. Drug addiction, a practice found among teenagers and Students in institutions of higher Learning is a vice that ranks very high in contemporary times. Some freely say that scriptures did not say anything about the use of drugs. Yes. But it did warn us against defiling or, in modern usage, destroying the temple of the Holy Ghost which we have in us “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6: 19, 20). The use of hard drugs is a contemporary vice and its toll on the life of its users is pretty heavy. Hard drugs inflame the mind, sedate the heart and makes the soul to feel high. Its end is more dangerous and deadly than the beginning. It leaves its victim a wretch on one hand and a danger to others, on the other hand. Closely allied with drug addiction is involvement in cults among students in secondary schools and institutions of higher learning. Cults, these days, pretend to be a social club but when its activities are closely examined, it is revealed as the breeding ground of all contemporary vices- wild life, thuggery, drug addiction and, at times, immorality. In recent times, dangerous weapons like live ammunition, machetes, spears and arrows are found amongst the members of cults in schools. This is a modern trend and it comes with every conceivable danger to life and property.
Evangelist Chi Benedicta Okonkwo +34686036858 +34632325146 Email: chichinwogwugwu@hotmail.com
Common amongst students who are desperate to excel without corresponding input of labour and diligence is examination malpractice. In contemporary times, this has reached some level that frightens constituted examination bodies, school authorities, students who have fear of the Lord and, of course, Christian parents. This practice looks like a contemporary vice that has come to stay in most societies. But its permanence or rationalisation does not make it right. It remains essentially evil and vicious. Contemporary youths and even the generality of middle-aged folks are unduly exposed to the practice of pornography. The evil sight that stirs up the base nature of man through pornography has a demonic hold on youths. Some Christian youths cannot stand or continue in the faith because of pornography. The sad thing is that youths and adults (men and women) generally accept to sit loosely yielding to the gratifications of those appetites wherein they stand on a level with the beasts that perish. Sensual write and to write is gain and life indeed. pleasure is basically sinful. It is strange to see that rich, elite and seemingly refined ones, the creams of the country are held by the fiendish power of pornography. Teachers as well as their students, employers as well as their employees, leaders as well as the led, the advanced, civilised, industrial countries as well as the developing, primordial societies are all given to pornography and all kinds of immorality. Closely allied to pornography are the unclean practices of lesbian and homosexually immoral propensity to one’s own sex. These are rampant practices amongst students in boarding schools and higher institutions. Strange enough, some highly placed folks are insured in this practice. Some of them are found in religious circles. From the days of old, music has always been a spiritual and edifying medium. The Scripture exhorts us to admonish “one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3: 16b).David’s songs and playing on the harp had great spiritual and soothing impact on Saul. Elisha called for a minstrel under whose ministration he received inspiration to those who preach, just as good singing and music precede most of all preaching today. In heaven, music continues. “And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps” (Revelation 14:2). Such is the traditional and even future use of music.
48
Most churches have lost the solemnity, inspiration, freshness, and refreshing that comes with Christian music in Bible days. Contemporary youths are besieged by rock ¨n¨ roll, wild noisy music, drumming and tune, which are very much akin to those that are obtained in heathen shrines. Wild secular music has a strong appeal which makes the mind stray away from the kingdom. Contemporary pseudo-Christian music is a vice, which the believer must free himself from. Victims of contemporary vices need a release. The vices are yokes and like every yoke, they must be broken If we are to be free from the vices, essentially, we must avoid them like one would do a plague. Whoever has slipped into them should go back to the Lord in repentance and call on the Lord for restoration. Because involvement in these vices is tantamount to loss of eternal life, there is the need to fight manfully. The Bible says, “The kingdom of God suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”(Matthew 11: 12)Repentance is to be followed by a return to the Lord (Isaiah 55:7). To return implies one has felt some brokenness and contrition, and unto such the Lord is very much keen to save and deliver. “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit” (Psalm 34:18) after repentance, returning and restoration, it becomes very necessary to practise the abiding presence of the Lord. Imagine the Lord is ever by you and do only those things that He would approve of. Like David, remember that wherever you are, God is there with you.

INSPIRATION
The economic depressions and recessions that made many Africans left their native land were also affecting Spain. When I arrived, I realized that there are no jobs and the few jobs that are available are not for African Immigrants. When I realized this, it was too late. There was no way I can go back to Africa. Instead of regrets, I decided I must survive in anyway I can. I started buying items like wrist watches, t-shirts, shoes at cheap price and later sell them within the African Community at a price a little higher, thereby making a little profit. For some time it was a good business. My customers which are Nigerians were always looking forward to buy my Goods. A month later, I decided to take my Goods to other cities. I made contact and some guys in Zaragoza were interested. So I got my Goods together and headed to Zaragoza. Before I left for the journey I was hopeful that I was going to sell my items. After three hours later, the bus arrived Zaragoza. Without wasting time I went strength to the house of my contact. He was happy to receive me. It was already late and there was nothing we could do until the following morning. The next day, I went straight to business by showing the items I have for sale. He looked at them one by one. Then he told me he is sorry that he cannot be able to buy any of the items because he has no money on him. That the money he was expecting was yet to arrive. Instead of been discouraged about this development, something in me keep telling me that I shouldn't worry that I was going to sell my Goods Later that day, I told my friend to take me round the African Community in Zaragoza so that I can sell my items there. "I think that's a good idea, I will take you to some African shops here. I think they will be interested" my contact said. He kept to his word, he took me to some African shops, but at the end I couldn't sell any of the items I brought. The next day I went to other African shops in Zaragoza and it was still the same story..
"Faith is the basis of all miracles and all mysteries, and it cannot be analysed by the rules of science."
-Napoleon Hill
All the same I was still optimistic that I was going to sell my Goods and that I will not get back to Madrid without selling them. I was still very hopeful that someone somewhere will buy my items. Three days later, I had to go back to Madrid because I was running out of money. I went to the city station to take the next available bus to Madrid. As I was heading to the bus station I still believe I was going to sell my Goods. I was one of the early passengers, and was made to sit on the front seat close to the driver. I was sad that I had to leave without selling any items. I began to count my loose. But something keeps telling me hope is not lost. Meanwhile Madrid bound passengers were already taken their seats and the bus was almost filled up. I noticed that I was the only black person inside the bus and the seat next to me was empty in spite of the magnitude of people in the bus. Racist I almost spit it out, because I am a black man no one want to seat next to me. Little did I know that every disappointment is a blessing in disguise. Everything happened for a purpose. I will tell you what happened later in this article Meanwhile, in life's journey we should learn to have faith. According to Napoleon Hill, "Faith is the basis of all miracles and all mysteries, and it cannot be analysed by the rules of science." You should believe and focus on the positive position rather than the negative. Here is a story about faith that I found on internet that I want to share with you. “One summer, a drought threatened the crop in a small town. On a hot and dry Sunday, the village parson told his congregation, "There isn't anything that will save us except to pray for rain. Go home, pray, believe, and come back next Sunday ready to thank God for sending rain." The people did as they were told and returned to church the following Sunday. But as soon as the parson saw them, he was furious. "We can't worship today. You do not yet believe," he said. "But," they protested, "we prayed, and we do believe." "Believe?" he responded. "Then where are your umbrellas?"
From this story it is very clear that though the congregation prayed for rain, they did not believe it will rain. If they have faith and believe it was going to rain, they would have come with their umbrellas.
49
Back to my story, while I was not happy that the seat next to me was empty, God had a better plan for me. As the bus closed the doors and was ready to set on the journey, a lady came rushing with a big bag on her left hand and smaller one on her right hand. I looked at her closely and saw that she was an African Immigrant. I couldn’t at that particular time tell where she was from. Do I really care? She came to occupy the vacant seat next to me. I noticed she looked at me, but my head was buried at the ground lost in thought. I was worried because I did not sell any of my goods. I think she said something like hello to me, but I can’t remember and even if she said it, all I know was that I did not reply.
The bus eventually took off and I was eager to reach Madrid. Did I say eager? Why should I be eager when my trip to Zaragoza was a fruitless one? But somehow I still had that feeling I will still sell my Goods. Something in me keeps telling me that all hopes are not lost. Throughout the journey I did not say a word to the lady that was sitting next to me. I noticed that at intervals she looks at me. The bus went on until it reach half of the Journey and it got to a place where we all have to come out and rest for 30 minutes. It is at this point that the passengers normally take refreshment. After thirty minutes, the bus continues its journey. The next thing I heard was, “Hello” I turned to the right and before I could utter a word, she added, “I hope it’s not robot that is sitting next to me?” She asked. I looked at her and I did not utter a word. She went further, “Brother, whatever it is that is eating you, loosen up. After all the world is not going to fall on your head.” She quickly added, “Cheer up brother.” It was then I told her that there was nothing to cheer up and that I am not happy about my experience in Zaragoza. She insisted that I tell her what happened. I then narrated my story to her. At the end, she demanded to see my Goods. I showed them to her and she was interested and ask if I should sell all the Goods to her. At the end, she bought all the Goods at a rate higher than the initial price. I just couldn’t believe it. At the end I didn’t get to Madrid with my Goods. God is truly wonderful. Having faith is very important though it is hardest thing to possess in life. What is faith? Faith is to believe in God and it is the most important thing for us as human beings. Faith leads us to true happiness and it’s the tonic we all need in the changing circumstances and conditions of this world. Having faith means having God in you. It also means believing in things, situations that are not visible. Do everything you can to have faith in your daily life and in whatever you do, Faith also mean been positive and hopeful. Finally faith is the key to eternal happiness which is the dream of every man on earth.

STRICTLY ANDY OMOREGIE
A CONFIDENT PERSON GET NOTICED My name is Andy Omoregie; I am a Graphic Artist, Writer, Publisher, Event Planner, Show Promoter and the Editor-In-Chief of Zenith Magazine. I am a man on a mission and entertainment is my journey. Writing is not a phase in my life, it defines who I am. In life’s journey, there will come a time when people will ask you the following questions. Who are you? What do you do? Where do you live? What clothes do you wear? Who are your friends? What car do you drive? How do you spend your time? What is your purpose in life? In whose life are you making a difference? Marianne Williamson said – “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?” As humans we do become gullible. I have been drawn to it, but I know at the end of the day there are bigger things in life than the pretentiousness. In life, we all struggle to make an impact. Confidence is an important factor in order to make an impact. Confidence is the key that opens all doors. It's like a magnet and a game changer. A confidence person gets noticed, heard and most times get what he or she wants. Confidence is like saying, I am sure of myself. Confidence is an outward expression of true inner self. Be confident of who you are and what you can do. You can face the future with confidence when you have the ability to change. No one can tell what the future will bring. The only thing we can be certain of is that change is coming. For us at Zenith Magazine, we believe in change though is not always comfortable. And it's something that is not stable or predictable.
