Student Mean Scores
The 2016 NAPLAN results in Years 3 and 5 continued to be representative of the dedication, hard work and commitment to personal best which our students, teachers and parents espouse. In Year 3, 87.5% of students achieved in the top two bands (Bands 5 and 6) for reading as opposed to 51.8% acheived in NSW state. Each of the subject areas covered are related to areas of significant importance within the Primary Division. New students to our school learn very early on that it is cool to be a reader, there is an overwhelmingly significant culture in relation to learning to read, both for pleasure and to be informed. All students have the opportunities to learn and master the manipulation of numbers and the majority of our students continue to thrive in this environment, evident in the 61.5% Band 5/6 results in Year 5, compared to 30.5% in State.
