Founded in Barcelona in 1971 by Dr Jaime Planas, Clínica Planas was the first clinic in Europe specialize solely in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The Center is located in the high zone of the Barcelona, in a quiet neighborhood made up of private dwellings, schools, and embassies.
The project was the enlargement of the original clinic with three new buildings dedicated at clinic treatment and hospitalization. The complex was completed with a big auditorium with 500 p. capacity and a big atrium designed to shelter convention stands.
The objective of the project was integrate the new construction with the existing edification and the wooded landscape of the area. To achieve this goal, design integrated a large reflecting glass surfaces contained with blocks of natural stone.
