Do you dream of:

Starting a business? Getting fit and healthy? Reducing debt and increasing savings? Making a drastic change - quitting your job, getting out of a dead marriage or moving to another city? Whatever vision you have for your life this year and beyond, there is a way to achieve it. Forget feeble New Year’s resolutions - everyone knows they don’t work. Focus instead on setting some realistic and achievable goals to attain the vision you have for your life. 1. Commit to your vision. The first and most important step is to make a commitment. If you are not 100% committed, you are unlikely to succeed. 2. Deconstruct the goal. What steps do you need to take to reach that goal? Write them down and regularly read it over to see if you’re on track.

3. Take baby steps. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so don’t expect to drop 20kgs in a month or for your finances to turn around in a few months. It takes time. But every small step you take towards that goal is progress. 4. Visualise. It’s easy to lose motivation. Let’s face it, making big changes is never easy. Reaching a goal may be taking longer than you’d like, or setbacks may come along. We become tired and discouraged and give up. In times like these, don’t lose sight of the bigger picture. Visualising the end result is crucial in achieving our dreams. So keep ReConnecting with your goals to make 2014 the year you make one or two dreams come true! after each edition, to make a smooth sauce. 4. Add the soy sauce, lime or lemon juice and half the water/water and apple juice mixture and stir well. 5. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. 6. Reduce the heat and simmer the sauce for 2 minutes. Use over chicken kebabs of grilled chicken breasts, served with rice or salads. This sauce will keep well in the fridge for one week. NOTES: Satay peanut sauce is usually too high in fat, but if you reduce the quantity of peanut butter and use water or water and apple juice to dilute it (as in recipe), it lowers the fat percentage. Peanuts contain mainly monounsaturated fats, which are beneficial fats.

Meet Owner of "The Playshed"Jeanne Goodall

Limit time in the sun South Africans are sun worshippers, but regularly spending long periods in the sun is one of the most damaging things you can do to your skin. It leads to premature aging, wrinkles and unsightly age spots. Worse still, it can lead to skin cancer.

1. How did it all start for you? The Playshed was started in 2009, when 2 friends (new moms!) took their 2 year olds to play venues in the Northern Suburbs. We realised that there is a great need for something like the Playshed in a central/southern suburbs region.

Eat healthy and drink plenty of water A good diet and lots of water does wonders for skin health. Water hydrates the skin and flushes out toxins and a healthy diet keeps the skin in good condition. Avocados, eggs, walnuts, beans, pomegranates and fish (especially oily fish such as salmon) are some foods that promote healthy skin.

2. Give three words that best describe your business. FUN! Pleasant! Safe! 3. Where do you see yourself and the business in 3-5 years? We are in the process of expanding with an outside play and party area, which will enable us to double what we have to offer to our clients. We hope to be a destination for all parents and little ones to come and enjoy our parties, play areas and coffee shop. Contact me on 021 8010141/2

Moisturise Choose a moisturiser suitable for your skin type. If you have an oily skin, look for a moisturiser that will moisturise without exacerbating oiliness. Exercise There are numerous benefits to regular exercise, one of which will be a glowing skin. Exercise helps increase blood flow to the skin and sweating helps expel impurities from the pores. Exercise also helps reduce inflammation in the body which can help improve acne.

LEADING YOU BUSINESS FROM HERE TO THERE .....SUCCESSFULLY It's 2014 and by now we all reflected on 2013 and the way we did business then. If not, stop and do so now! We looked at what worked, what didn't work and the REALITY thereof. That reality enables us to make adjustments and set goals. We resolve to do certain things and certain things differently....(Resolutions). Personally setting goals does not impress me. The ability to get up and getting goals, does. Why then is it so that as we discussing this, so many of us have already giving up at trying to implement or achieving those resolutions? I came to learn that in every area of our lives, we only need to make a good decision, once. For example, we only have to decide ONCE to conduct our businesses with integrity. We don't make that same decision everyday. For all the days thereafter, we only have to manage that decision, daily. So we set for ourselves a list of disciplines that we need to exercise everyday in

order to be successful in conducting our business with integrity. So it is with all the goals we set for ourselves in life as well as our businesses. The secret of our success lies in our daily agendas. Do we do daily, that which we have to (those disciplines) in order to reach those goals that we set. So as we continue with the rest of 2014. Make good decisions once and manage them daily as we continue to lead (our businesses) from where we are! For any questions, comments or concerns, kindly contact me at dpsmit.zecan@webmail.co.za or Mobile 0829621395 in order for me to share in your thoughts and for us to grow......together.
