2020 saw the most popular resolution to be more environmentally friendly. Worcester residents should find achieving sustainability easier than most as the city already has several local businesses, such as Be The Change on the Cornmarket and Pack It In in the Market Hall on The Shambles, established to help you reach this worthy goal. And as we welcome a new decade, Worcester BID also begins its third term at the helm of the city’s business community.
The year ahead is a particularly exciting one for Worcester, with investment and development regenerating areas of the city. Worcester’s cultural life is also about to experience a renaissance as we welcome four new Festivals to the city - we hope to see you at all four.

THE BATTLE OF WORCESTER SOCIETY PRESENTS A WINTER SEASON OF HISTORY TALKS Wed, 18 March 2020 ‘Battle of the Baltic’, 7.15 pm A vivid account of the Royal Navy’s battle to secure the freedom of the Baltic states and save the region from Bolshevik terror and German hegemony. One hundred years ago, British sailors died to protect Baltic independence from Russian invasion, a threat they still face. Then, as now, politicians cavilled, but the navy’s intervention saved the cause of liberty. Steve Dunn: a local author who has published at least four history books and another is due out at the end of January 2020. His books include The Coward? and The Scapegoat. Steve has a special interest in the British Navy of the early 20th century and World War One. He has seven published works to his credit with another two commissioned for 2020 and 2021. When not writing Steve plays tennis and cooks. He lives in Worcestershire and South West France.
