April 24 is a sad day for all Armenian families. On the night of April 24, 1915 the Turks arrested and killed many prominent Armenians. For the next 8 years they continued killing, deporting, kidnapping, enslaving and starving to death millions of innocent Armenians in Western Armenia and Anatolia. By 1923, more than 1,500,000 Armenians were killed, and another 1,000,000 became refugees.

Most families were torn apart. Many were killed entirely. The parents were killed in front of the children, while the children were taken to Turkish orphanages to be raised as Muslim Turks. Some orphans, who were later rescued, are still alive but are over 100 years old. One hundred years have passed since the Armenian genocide took place but Turkey still denies it and occupies Western Armenia. This April, Armenians all over the world commemorated the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. There was a march here in L.A with over 160,000 people participating.
Fun Things to do in the Summer By Eric Davoudian I have 5 things you might like to do in summer. First thing is go to the water park and take your friends with you. Go to the water park because the water slides there are long. Next thing is to go to a beach. Go to a beach because the water is cold and in the hot air it feels so good to go inside the water. You can also play beach soccer. Next thing is go to a pool and swim to have fun. Next thing is go to a hockey rink and play around with the puck. Next thing is go to your cousin’s house and play hide and go seek. Those are the things you might want to do in summer. 2

The Robo War By Vivian Shahjanian
In the year 2030 when all life was great, you have robot servants, robot teachers, robot pets, and robot people. It was all great until one day a robot named Dave got sick of it so a whole army was formed. Then began the Robo War. Both the humans and the robots had five days to prepare for the war. It was intense. Sometimes the robots stole the human’s bananas. Robots really love bananas in the future. The humans deserved it. They also stole the robot’s cannons. The humans grabbed thousands of gallons of water and headed for the helicopters and used the cannons to shoot the water down at the robots. Victory to the humans!

LATIN DANCING by Marion Amirian
Latin dancing is not just a sport. It’s art. I’ll be telling you about the history and more about Latin dancing. The best Latin dancer in the world is Egor Bolychev. His copilot is Victoria Parfenova. One of the hardest dance competitions is the Black Ball. It’s in London. Only the best dancers can go. Latin dancing makes you feel happy. The good part is the boys get to lead the girls. It is a really hard dance to learn, but everybody gets the hang of it.

HOCKEY by Marion Amirian Hockey is really good to play. It also makes you active. There are two kinds of hockey: ice hockey and roller hockey. Both of them are fun, but you need to know how to ice skate or roller skate. If you don’t know it will be really hard to play. Hockey is easy when you start and you practice but if you haven't practiced it's hard. If you want to start hockey you need to practice. The best hockey player is Sidney Crosby.

Isabella Rosa The End The princess poured lemonade on the knight’s head. The princess poured lemonade on the knight’s head because his head was on fire. The knight’s head was on fire because a firebreathing dragon blew fire. A fire-breathing dragon blew fire at the knight because the knight made him laugh. The knight made the fire-breathing dragon laugh because he was sad. The dragon was sad because a herd of rabbits came in his home and destroyed his painting. A herd of rabbits came in the dragon’s home and destroyed his painting because a giant tomato came rolling down chasing them. A giant tomato came down chasing a herd of rabbits because a giant was really mad. The giant was really mad because his servant couldn’t make lemon pie. The servant couldn’t make lemon pie because there were no more lemons at the store. There were no more lemons at the store because the princess used it for her lemonade. Well that’s the story so that’s it folks. THE END.
