SÀI GÒN. Saigon Identity & Editorial Design

Developing branding and editorial design for SÀI GÒN.saigon - an newspaper published every two months. SÀI GÒN.saigon contains all stories about the community, the people, the places, the activities and the old times of Sài Gòn, with the aim of sharing, inspiring, motivating and reminding. Concept: Old v New. The logotype was designed based on the old types around Sài Gòn, combined with a new simple, minimal, modern look of the nowadays. Read online: http://bit.ly/1iyM25q

Samasa Matches Identity & Packaging

Samasa is an old-time often-seen matchbox brand with an iconic dragon illustration. The images on Vietnamese matchbox covers before 1975 varied from the traditional – drawings of zodiac animals, to the modern – brand advertising and popular singers of the day. However, the brand had disappeared. The aim of this project is to bring back Samasa, with new identity and package series, make it once again the coolest matches brand. The brand had an unique brand image with an iconic dragon symbol and customized signature. The re-branding process is suggested to help the brand keep pace with the modern world. The very first edition of the new matchbox designs is Vietnam Ethic Groups. On each match box, there will be images of one of 55 Vietnamese Ethnic Groups.

SustaiN Conference Identity & Website

Rebranding and developing new a website for SustaiN Conference. This organization consists of professionals who are aware of the social responsibility to achieve a sustainable future for Human Security. Concept: Creating a Sustainable Community. Hexagon represents balance and union. It is also the symbol of truth, harmony, equality, reliability and perfection. Moreover, hexagon also exists in nature as the image of honeycomb, which on the other hand represents the bee’s society – a sustainable and stable structure. Vietnam Compass Identity

Developing branding for Vietnam Compass, a turnkey business advisory service for investors looking for benefit from favorable labor costs or exporting Vietnamese products. Concept: Making Vietnam a Promised Land.


The symbol of the Vietnam Compass’s logo was developed based on the image of a compass and the Viet Bird (which is called “Chim Lac� in Vietnamese). The Compass represents the oriented characteristic of the business, as the company is built to be a business advisor and consultant for clients. Viet Bird is one of the ancient symbols of Vietnam, which symbolizes the spirit and traditional culture of Vietnam. More details: http://on.be.net/1oHmA04

Developing branding for Schmoelling and Frose Architects, an architecture company focuses on sustainable design. Concept: Minimize environmental footprint. The combination of 3 letters S, F and A in the logo reflects the minimalist architecture design. Minimalist architecture designs are functional and eco-friendly, which use the natural energy, reduce footprint, provide less energy, less waste and adapt well to the environment. Produce of Vinh Phat Investment Corporation. Vinh Phat Investment Corporation (Vinh Phat) was established since 1989, specializes in processing and exporting rice products. They are among the leading private rice millers and also exporters in Vietnam. Hong Quy is Red Jasmine Brown Rice. Its brown form contains lots of fibers, nutrients and vitamins at the bran layer such as: vitamin B1, B2, B3, B5, calcium and iron.
