Un-Masked! A unique open-air exhibition in the shop-windows of the galleries on rue des Beaux-Arts Paris is in need of art. . . After the museums, our galleries are now closed and cannot carry on their business normally. However, Paris which is the gallery capital of the world is teeming with ideas and initiatives. The area of Saint Germain-des-Prés is historically home to an unparalleled concentration of culture and business. Unlike other parts of the capital, the galleries blossom here with their « faces un-masked », allowing visitors to enjoy the masterpieces visible in the shop windows ! At the heart of this ecosystem, the dealers on the rue des Beaux-Arts have decided to raise their heads and stand tall. While taking into account the anti-COVID regulations, the galleries have joined forces to offer visitors a museum-quality exhibition, accessible every day of the week directly from the sidewalk. Uniting some twenty exhibitors, the exhibition « Un-Masked » unfolds in the windows of the galleries, visible from the outside. The exhibition will be symbolically inaugurated on Thursday, April 1st, date of the monthly late evening opening organized by the association “ Le Jeudi des Beaux-Arts “, and will remain on show until April 20th. Centered around the unifying theme : The Exposed Face as an Expression of Humanity, our galleries offer an eclectic and stimulating journey, through the specialties which are grouped on our historic street : Contemporary art, Modern art, Graphic arts, Tribal arts, Design, Antiquities. . . Come and discover a shamanic mask from the collection of André Breton, a New-Ireland mask from the Galerie du Dragon Collection, a portrait by Jean-Michel Basquiat, works by Vincent Bioulès, Marina Abramović, Erró, Antoine Schneck, Elsa & Johanna, Francis Bacon, matali crasset . . . We are pleased to announce the participation of the Ecole National Supérieur des BeauxArts de Paris in « Un-Masked » !

Stéphane Corréard and Hervé Loevenbruck Hervé Loevenbruck opened his gallery in 2001 just after Stéphane Corréard closed his. We could describe it as passing the relay and indeed the two men know each other well and share the same history of art. In February 2019, these two self-taught artists, trained through internships in professional experiences, decided to work together and open a joint gallery : Loeve&Co. A second space for Hervé Loevenbruck, who now manages several independant domaines in addition to his activities as a contemporary art gallery owner, but above all it is an independent project that works to rewrite a page of French art. For Stéphane Corréard, well-known as a journalist, curator and also founder of the art fair Galeriste, it is a matter of being an operational art-critic and following in the footsteps of Pierre Restany or Bernard Lamarche-Vadel. Offering with his Galerie Météo, founded in 1992 much more than simply theoretical support, he has provided logistical and financial support to a whole generation of artists from Philippe Ramette to Ghada Amer - he learned from this experience the need to create context, to carry out his own projects and how to do so.
