A REAL RESUMÉ Do you want to be a doctor, teacher, lawyer or engineer? High school is the time to start figuring that out. Our Corporate Work Study Program can give you career ideas you might never have even considered. “I was already considering a medical career when I got my work assignment at Good Samaritan Hospital. This job has inspired me even more.”
Real-world work experience starts your career path now. Here’s how Corporate Work Study works: > All DPCR students work five days a month in companies all over this area.
> > > > >
You come to DPCR every day at the same time, in the same uniform.
“This job has shown me I can do things I’d never thought of doing. It’s exposing me to a lot of good experience.”
On work days instead of going to class, you get a brown-bag lunch and board a van. The van takes you to work and picks you up at the end of the day, bringing you back to DPCR. Your academic schedule is planned around work so you never miss class days. Your “salary” is sent to school so you’re actually paying part of the cost of your own education. Colleges and future employers love this!
