Architecture to me, is way of life. It’s not just a singular dimension of space, matter and time but inculcates curiosity in fundamental mechanisms, understanding art, compositions, combinations and so much more. The idea of collective learning and team work makes this field so fascinating and exciting and even more so for learning something new everyday.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE A government urban development project required a toll collection Administration office, Toll booths and a bus stop at Bopal, Ahmedabad. All of these designs used a similar language and I was given the responsibility of designing the bus stop and suggest options for the toll booth during my internship. The colours, geometry, simplicity and functional design had to reflect on economical as well as easily constructible prototype.

Options for the Toll both with Underground access to the Administration building or the Toll Collection office. These three designs(Toll Plaza, Bus Stop and Toll Booth design) represented each other and exhibited a unique language and style altogether.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE Set on a beautiful Golf course encompassing the best views, this existing Bungalow needed an upliftment to the existing open lawn area. The client’s requirement included a Party area, Gazebo, walking pathways and seating arrangements around the garden. The design solution to this requirement included about three options where I have experimented with different geometry, namely sinuous and straight. Working with contours and a very unique plantation idea was what was presented to the client. The incorporated design elements also interestingly follow the chosen geometry of the options as shown in the next few pages of this landscape design at Kalhaar Bungalows .

FREELANCE PROJECTS This 24,ooo sqft area with an existing Bungalow in the corner called for redoing the landscape. This project is under construction at the moment and includes multiple interesting elements as a part of the new landscape. Requirements like parking for 2 vehicles and two wheelers, easy access to garden area and ornamenting the exiting landscape was the idea. However, redoing the landscape to me at this site mainly meant including a good plantation plan to increase the greenery as well as making the landscape a part of the existing bungalow like they are coexisting.

FREELANCE PROJECTS A premium nightclub was designed in a prime location in Mumbai over a span of 6 month. Design consultancy and project management was taken care of. A Moroccon theme was incorporated for this interior design project where I worked on detailing of doors, flooring, furniture, wall dĂŠcor and lighting where the Moroccon theme was integrated and executed. With a seating capacity of 130 this nightclub is situated on the 7th floor of a commercial building with a full fledged multi cuisine kitchen and dedicated dance floor executed with intricate detailing. Experimentation with epoxy flooring was also carried out The ceiling has a very interesting wave feature with led lighting and DMX software that gives the vibe of a nightclub. This wave is made out ply, LED strips and acrylic sheets..
