Season’s Greetings my gifted and beautiful Sorors, We are now at the conclusion of a very successful year. In fact, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! I want to thank you for all of your hard work and commitment under both “Launching New Dimensions of Service” and “Exemplifying Excellence through Sustainable Service” in calendar year 2018. We will start 2019 with a flurry of activity that will positively impact our community. January will be a month focused on reclaiming our pearls and raising awareness of our HBCUs. On January 11, we have a #CAP Lock in with students from local high schools at Woodward Technical Career High School. During this time we will educate students on navigating the college admissions process, while enjoying food, fun and fellowship. In addition, on January 15, we will have another amazing reactivation activity hosted by our Membership Committee. If you attended “Fall Back into AKA”, you know we are in for a treat. I hope you can attend these events. Also, on January 21, we will we celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday. We know this is a “day on” and not a “day off” for the hardworking Sorors of Sigma Omega. The day will start with the annual breakfast, the march and a service project with Lighthouse Youth Services. Let’s show up and represent! I hope you enjoy your holiday with family and friends. May God’s richest and choices blessings be upon you and your love ones. Sisterly, Soror Shelly
