ool, calm and calculated are best to describe the persona of Mavin Record's act, D'Prince.

His attraction for things that would hardly catch anybody's attention like keeping some golden fishes as pets, to opening an Instagram page for his dog…you know, such things as seem romantic to ladies. No wonder his female fans love him so much and would think his 'banana' was a free for all but no, he's been with one woman, Inorie Fotso since 2011. It would interest you to know that Charles Enebeli, a.k.a, D'Prince was born in Ajegunle where he spent his early days and, guess what? He still misses AJ City a lot. His interest in music didn't come by accident. He, of course, inherited his ,musical flair from his father who is very much also in support of his foray into music. “I feel happy and fulfilled to have supportive parents. I wouldn't have asked for anything better because they have always advised and supported us towards our music career. I pray God continues to bless them”. Talking on what it was like to grow up in one of Africa and Nigeria's most populated cities, Ajegunle, D'Prince says it was an experience which has strengthened his career the more.

“I spent earlier parts of my life there. I would say it was an awesome experience and an eye opener being that it connected me to the streets and made me to understand certain things about life in relation to my music career”. The best he could remember was taking part in the city's musical concerts. “Anybody who knows Ajegunle very well would know the city has so many street jamborees and all that. And I was always privileged taking parts with my brothers and friends. It was a wonderful experience”.

And those street carnivals was where it all started. “Yes, my musical career started from those street carnivals. Back then we always made sure to be part of the artistes outlined to grace the stage and it was always fun”. Now that he's rich and famous, D'Prince has pitched his tent among the high and mighty. Meanwhile, that doesn't mean he has totally abandoned his old friends at AJ city. “It's not true that I don't miss Ajegunle. I miss the city so much for all its fun and all,” he admitted. But does it mean he can go back there to live there? “No I can't live there anymore. Schooling and career obviously took me away from there. But I go there frequently on visit because I still have some of my pals there,” he said. continues...

What about the feeling which comes from having a superstar-music-producerbrother like Don Jazzy who many other artistes would kill to have as a brother? “Above everything, I'm proud to have a brother like him. He's a very good person and I am proud of his achievements. However, I am my own person and have come to be achieve a lot too. So it's not like I'm resting on him to always do everything for me. God has been helping me too”. Since it's been a while he's dropped some single, his fans are definitely waiting to have something from the 'Banana' crooner. “I'm working on an upcoming project which takes me in and out of the studio. So my fans should watch out for new songs soon. It's still in the oven and I don't wanna spill the tea just yet”. His father was into music, his brother, Don Jazzy, and then him? Could his journey into music be fate or a family thing? “My going into entertainment is a mixture of fate and my environment. Like I said earlier, I come from a family with high taste for music so music was bound to happen somewhere along the line”. Despite his brother and father being music professionals, D'Prince didn't have it easy! “Basically you know how the struggle is for an upcoming artiste. You had to go through the downs and hustles of the game but you always have to remember to be focused, persistent and pray because with God, there's always light at the end of the tunnel”. Hmn, he's sounding spiritual now. So does he pray? “Why not!”. That's strange to hear especially with the popular belief that entertainers don't have the slightest knowledge and faith in God. “I don't blame them for having such thought though. That's what the industry has made people think, they think we are all pagans…I believe in God o and pray a lot”. Every artistes once had bad moments they'd never forget in a rush especially during the early days of their career. So what does D'Prince have to say?

“I had a couple of embarrassing moments but I remember when I first released my debut single. But before then, before I became popular, anytime I go for shows, people didn't really know me and it was always quite embarrassing how they treated and responded to me even while on stage. You know how you feel whenever you get on stage and the audience don't even know your song…that's one of the worse experience an artiste can ever have. But I wasn't discouraged. I was determined to be popular. And as God would have it, months after my debut single dropped, I went back to same city and same show and by then, everybody was screaming and singing the lyrics to my songs. It was a touching point for me”. If you knew him when he just started his career, you would remember D'Prince used to wear a weird blonde haircut. Why did he cut that hair?! “I love to try new and exciting haircut. I noticed the hair made me look loud and uncultured so, had to cut it off”. That's right! And since he's been on a low cut, did he notice how normal he now looks? “Yes, like a perfect gentleman abi? Thank you”. What about his girlfriend. How does she cope with all the attention he gets from other ladies? “She's been an understanding person.” What lady doesn't complain? “No, not at all. My girlfriend understands what being an entertainer is all about so, she doesn't complain”. But he's been dating her since 2011! Maybe the marriage bell will soon ring. “My elder brothers aren't even married yet so, I don't think I need to rush”.

t's really hard to keep up with why some celebrities are tearing each other apart these days, yet, gosh! can exclusively tell you that there's more to this than meet the eye.

Wizkid started the ďŹ re after tweeting that Skales, a former label mate, is a failed artiste. Wizkid then went ahead to add salt and pepper to the whole matter by using all kinds of swear words on his former label mate. Let me take it from the start- no one could conďŹ rm whether or not what Skales said but, what Wizkid said was that Skales went about saying he(Skales), wrote Wizkid's 'Super Star'. Not only that, words are making the rounds that Skales allegedly said he also produced Wizkid's 'Azonto' beat.

This obviously got Wizzy infuriated, and the Star Boy went after Skales with clubs and knives in public view and glare. Trust Wizzy not to hold anything back- he blasted Skales on Twitter and we were almost crying. Read some of his tweets below; “Skales u a fuck boy for coming at me sha! Lol U can compose tweets but can't compose one hit song… All u know how to do is wear fake chains nd beg hoes for money! I'll help finish ur dead career!... Since u start ur career u never fit drop one album u say u write me song! God punish ur left balls!!... Skales!! Even when the label wanted to drop ur ass cos u didn't make one naira for 3years! I was there! U a foolish guy with zero brain!” Of course, Skales hit Wizzy right back. “All these hate buried inside you for so long but you been pretending to be real. all these curse words but you still a fuck nigga tho… I know where am from,I know where am headed. Meeting you was only a stepping stone , you outta my way now nigga. No b only you God fit bless… Shake body is banging everywhere nigga , am gonn be here for a very long time !!! What goes up must definitely come down !!!!... I went through the worst times with you guys and I survived ! Nigga there's nothing else I can't go through . #myGodwin lol oya Shakebody”

Story continues on the next page!

Huaaa!!

Source close to the warring duo's camp, revealed to gosh!, that Skales indeed went through discrimination when he was with Banky W's Empire Mate Entertainment. According to what we learnt, Wizkid was the main focus of Banky as the label saw him, Wizkid, as the golden hen and a way to make more money. Because of this, Banky allegedly abandoned other artistes under him for years, making them be at Wizkid's mercy, the more reason why Skales eventually left EME. gosh! scooped that Wizkid allegedly became pompous being the only act making the most money for the label. Another source also told us that Skales on the other hand, as a result of being neglected, became jealous of Wizzy's success and has been habouring grudge against the Star Boi. Little wonder why the bubble eventually burst on social media- the duo couldn't hold back their temper. And Wizkid being the impatient type, let lose his anger on Skales, to the extent of calling him all kinds of unprinted names.

tudents of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science of the University of

Benin (UNIBEN) have sensitised secondary school pupils and residents of the institution's host community on the need to fight cancer. The campaign

was organised in commemoration of the World Cancer Day. EZEKIEL EFEOBHOKHAN (400-Level Pharmacy) reports. The notice for the rally was short and sharp. Their eagerness to be part of the campaign was driven by their desire to ensure a cancer-free society. This was the motivation of Pharmacy students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), who organised a health awareness in the institution's host community to commemorate the World Cancer Day. For over four hours, the students, under the aegis of Anti-Drug Misuse and Abuse Programme (ADMAP), moved round some notable areas in Ugbowo, the university's host community, educating people on how they could stop cancer. They displayed placards with various inscriptions to share information about the disease. During the campaign, the students visited Uselu Market and secondary schools in Ugbowo. They spoke to traders at the market in Pidgin English. Kingsley Isibor, a 500-Level student, explained to market women what could cause cancer and how it could be prevented. He advised the traders to go for regular medical checkup, noting that early detection remained the best way to cure cancer. His words: “I go beg una to chop many fruits. Also make una no drink alcohol, e nor good for body. I wan advise you make una dey do light exercises like walk and you need to move away from where somebody dey smoke cigarettes.” Demonstrating to the market women how to carry out Breast Self-Examination (BSE), ADMAP chairperson, Chinenye Ihejirika, advised nursing mothers to breast feed their children adequately, saying it would reduce the risk to cancer. Chinenye said: “Make una dey check una breast as I dey do so, at least every month, so that una go fit sabi wether something dey swell up for there. If una feel any pain or anything swell at all for the breast area or under your armpit or if your nipple soft well well, make una quick go hospital go meet doctor. Them go check am well for una.” She urged the traders to maintain hygiene in the market, stressing that dirty environment could cause many diseases.

tudents of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) are not excited about the planned transformation of Open Pavilion, a multi-purpose field where they unwind. The university is converting the field to a car park but the students are kicking, saying they were not consulted before the project started . EMMANUEL SHEBBS (Graduate School) reports. It was a multi-purpose venue for major events. From matriculation to convocation and Students' Union Government (SUG) election, the Open Pavilion at the University of Calabar (UNICAL) was the place for big events. On many occasions, it was used for the passing out parades of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and seminars of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). At weekends, it served as a place for students to unwind. They would play game and hold social events there. All these are now in the past with the on-going development of the field. Students returned to campus after a break to discover their favourite rendezvous is being turned into something else. When AROUND CAMPUS visited the site last weekend, the grass was being scraped off by earth movers and tractors. When AROUND CAMPUS sought to know if the Open Pavilion was being upgraded, the construction workers declined comments. But the institution's Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Eyo Bassey, told our correspondent that the university had decided to convert the pavilion to a car park. Bassey said the management responded to complaints by staff and visitors about inadequate parking lot on the campus. This is the reason, he said, the pavilion had to go.

He said: “There have been complaints from various quarters about the inability to get space for car park in the academic area on the campus. You know there is no other place that we can park cars; people park indiscriminately. But, you cannot tell them not to come into the school with their vehicles. It is not wise enough. So, because of its strategic location, the Open Pavilion is best option for this task. This is why it is being converted to a car park.” When he assumed office, the Vice-Chancellor (VC), Prof James Epoke unveiled a development master plan aimed at returning orderliness to the campus. AROUND CAMPUS gathered that construction of a central car park was contained in the plan to give the environment an aesthetic outlook. But, students are kicking against the conversion. SUG President Emmanuel Ajang, said students are not happy with the development, noting that the management did not inform them before bringing bulldozers to the field. He said: “I was in Abuja for a conference when I received information that bulldozers were excavating the Open Pavilion. I was surprised because there was no prior notice from the management that such a work was coming up. And you know the pavilion is a place the students love so much because of its multipurpose nature. “I have met with the VC to raise that issue. I expressed students' disapproval of the project to him, especially the fact that the union was not informed. The VC apologised for such lapses and said the development plan, which he submitted to the Federal Government years ago, had just been approved. The VC said the construction work had to start after money was released for the project.” Chris Udoh, a student in Faculty of Education, said: “The Open Pavilion was a place we relax after academic engagements. There is no other place where we can unwind again.” Some welcomed the project, urging the management to create another space for leisure, which should not be far from the academic area.

After the completion of the car park, Christian Anyanwu, a Science student, said the management should make it mandatory that it is cleared of vehicles before 6pm for students' activities. This may not be; but the school is considering other options. Emmanuel, who unveiled the school's plan, said: “We have been holding meetings with the management. We have reached an agreement that they will build three recreation centres for the students. The VC said we should go round the campus and recommend choice places for the management to build recreation centres. We have recommended an area close to second gate, another open field close to the staff quarters and a field behind Hall 6. These places have not been used for anything for years; so we want the management to develop them for sports and relaxation.” Solomon Okon, an Arts student, said having a car park is good, urging the management to ensure the project achieves its goal. Josephine Nwankwo, a 300-Level Management Science student, said the car park would make the academic area to become busy. She said management would need to prepare for the vehicular traffic that may arise and improve security in the car park. A professor of Social Science, who did not want his name in print, urged students to embrace the change, noting that the car park would bring orderliness. He said: “The car park would bring sanity back to the campus. Everything will be organised. I applaud the Vice-Chancellor for coming up with the initiative to make the school look good.” The SUG president urged students to remain calm, saying the VC would not renege on his promise to build recreation centres on the campus. He said: “Prof Epoke cannot disappoint us. The agreement is that the areas chosen by students for the recreation centres would be constructed before the car park project is completed. I will make sure I hold the university on this promise. I want to assure the VC that we are strongly in support of him.”

ndecent dressing remains a major problem, especially among women.

One of the notable values of Africa is its rich cultural background, and as such, there is no time in our history that indecent dressing can be linked to our heritage. The depth of this ungodly and morally-repugnant attitude is sunk deeply in tertiary institutions. Youngsters often think that indecent dressing is a fad of the age. Due to the bug of westernisation, many have gone haywire just to belong. Indecent dressing has no link to religion, because modesty is preached in various divine statutes. Over exposure to foreign culture through various channels such as internet, videos, and music among other medium, contribute majorly to the spread of uncouth dressing. However, there also exist some external factors ranging from poor parenting, peer pressure and other societal complexes capable of undermining morality. It is as well noteworthy that the kind of messages passed by those we tagged role models, are nothing to write home about. This greatly reects in the home videos and movies that dominate the Nollywood scenes in Nigeria For instance, at the University of Ilorin, the management condemns such act of immorality. As indicated in the school motto, the university only award degrees to only those that are worthy in learning and character. Thus, discipline and modesty serve as the university's watchword. As it is generally presumed that forewarned is forearmed, the university authority, during the yuletide break, sent messages to every student, speciďŹ cally to disseminate information to students as to the form of

dress codes allowed while on campus. In a similar vein, this was extended as part of the themes for orientation of fresh students of the university. Pamphlets were also distributed to students at the venue of the orientation programme. The university believes that proper dressing is an act which is necessary to excel in one's field, and needed in life after graduation. There is a fine and a form of warning to ignorant first-time offenders and more stringent disciplinary actions await those that occasionally violate the dressing ethics. The way one dresses determines the way one is addressed. Dressing decently enables one to gain respect from lecturers, fellow students and even in the entire academic community. It is also a proactive measure that reduces prevalent societal problems such as sexual assault. This development, despite the advantages, does not go down well with some students. “Dress code is just a way to restrict the freedom of students”, argued a student who claimed anonymity. However, for the greater good, there is existence of laws. Aggrieved students have no choice other than to comply with the university rules and regulations. A university is designed to be an institution offering academic literacy and a platform for moral training. UNILORIN is known to train students in character and learning. Thus, only students proven to be successful in both aspects are awarded degrees. The university therefore sets record and model to other institutions of learning as to definition of graduates. Some students clearly see nothing offensive in dressing indecently to displease their creator. Addressing the problem of indecent dressing on campus is a task for all.

I met a guy through an online dating site and we've been dating exclusively for 7 months, but his profile is still posted as an active record on the site. I'm mystified. How do I handle this? He said: Is this any different than if he were at a bar and chatting up the bouncy server? You have to feel out whether his cyber flirting is harmless. My gut? What's best about the Web--infinite possibilities--is also the worst. We look for better prices, smarter blogs, higher-res spring break photos. Your beau is sending a clear message to a wide web of women--and to you--that he's searching for something.

She said: Whoa! If this guy makes you happy, he deserves the benefit of the doubt. Like leaving the milk out on the kitchen counter, maybe he just forgot to take down his profile. Or maybe he likes getting the occasional ego-boosting e-mail that he gloats over for a minute and then deletes. Is that so bad? There's no point in getting pissed before you know what's going on. Why not ask him lightheartedly if he could still be looking for love online when he has someone as fabulous as you in the flesh? You have to start to trust this guy. If you can't, maybe you're the one who needs an active profile.

My fiancé talks about his ex-wife a lot--what she thought of his habits, how she planned the wedding, etc. How do I deal? He said: Most guys would be more comfortable discussing duvet covers than talking to a current lover about a former one. But I don't think he's intentionally trying to razz you. He's probably insecure about the failure of his last marriage, so he's trying to prove he knows something about relationships. Shut it down. You know his romantic résumé, but you don't need to hear more about it-especially if he wants to get (and keep) the job. She said: I was once on vacation in Italy with someone who wouldn't shut up about how it reminded her of France. Eventually I screamed, "Let's talk about Italy!" Remind your fiancé that you agreed to marry him--not his ex--which means her opinions and behaviors are of no interest to you. He may not be able to stop the knee-jerk memories, but he can stop giving them airtime. And the sooner he quits talking about her, the sooner he'll stop thinking about her. Continuing to listen will only drag out the process.

My boyfriend and I have a really great sex life, but he's super-quiet in bed. How can I get him to talk more/make some noise? She said: That's easy. If he isn't willing to talk, just make him beg. Start by smiling lasciviously and instructing him to take his clothes off and lie completely still. Then massage his feet, working your way slowly up his calves and inching toward his inner thighs. Now stop. Next, kiss from the palms of his hands to the crooks of his elbows to the nape of his neck. Stop. Kiss his nips, lick a slow, lingering trail down his chest to his navel. Stop again. Now that he's no doubt excited, inform him that if he wants you to do anything else, he's going to have to ask for it. He said: So let me get this straight. We're nothing more than dogs now? Dangle a biscuit in front of our eyes and well sit, speak, heel, lie down, roll over, and perform any number of assorted tricks on demand? You think that simply because you hold a mega-size chunk of sexual power over us with your seductiveness and beauty that a man is just going to cave into acting like someone he's not? You think that kisses, licks, and teases will do it? You think you can make a guy change just like that? Sheesh. Well, you thought right. Exactly right.

My husband is always questioning my judgment--whether it's about hiring an electrician or what to feed our son. It's eating at my self-esteem. What should I do? He said: No doubt your instinct is to start volleying criticisms back at him-- you merge like an octogenarian, why haven't you patched the drywall? But someone would probably end up with a 100-mph insult up their snout. I don't think his intent is off; but what he doesn't realize is what you need to tell him--that you're not his child, intern, or hooligan on the kiddie soccer team he coaches. And if he wants to occasionally yap about what he thinks you're doing wrong, he better start serving up a few words about everything you're doing right. She said: You need to remind your husband that you're his equal. But instead of merely telling him, which could easily spiral into a ďŹ ght no matter how politely you phrase it, I recommend writing a heartfelt letter explaining how you feel. As you deliver it, calmly inform him that you'll be leaving the house for a few hours. You're not storming out, just having a break. Then do something good for you, like take a long yoga class or visit a friend. Your absence will drive home the point that you don't just deserve to be treated better, you demand it.

My husband seems frustrated that my career is more successful than his, although he denies it. What should I say? He said: If my wife tried to talk to me about this, it wouldn't matter what she said. I'd hear this: "I know you try, dear, but please don't worry about my superstardom and your mediocrity." Even if your husband won't admit it, he probably is bothered because your success magniďŹ es his lack of it--and because testosterone makes him more competitive than a hooked marlin. Your best play: Don't give career advice (too condescending) and don't tell him you understand how he feels (too pitying). Just drop it. Give the impression it's no big deal and eventually he'll get that it isn't. She said: Don't console him about his lackluster career or compare it with your own. But don't you dare downplay your excitement about new projects or promotions. Pop the champagne, thank him for his support, and ask him to celebrate with you. Be sure to let him know you're proud of him for countless other reasons. Brag to friends about the incredible job he did renovating the kitchen or what an amazing Little League coach he is. Even better: Tell him he's the best lover you could ever hope for. The one thing more closely linked to a man's ego than his paycheck is his penis.

Ever since my two best friends have become pregnant, my husband and I have little in common with them. Should we take a break from these duos to spend time with couples who aren't baby-crazed He said: Actually, you have about as much choice in this as you have in what time their waters break. Your friends' sleepless nights, 24/7 responsibilities, and potentially strained budgets probably mean they're going to take a break from you, whether they mean to or not. Of course, you've got to branch out with people who can share a bottle of wine rather than a bottle of formula, and you should hang with couples who have similar interests, responsibilities, and free time--just to keep your own sanity. But don't forget that staying close to these new moms will go a long way in helping them keep theirs. She said: Take a break? These women are your best friends! As mind numbing as it may be for you and your guy to endure placenta talk over dinner and spend afternoons browsing high chairs, you've gotta do it--at least once a week, anyway. They need you to safeguard their sanity. As for recruiting new buddies, there's nothing wrong with that. Just be careful not to spread yourself so thin that all of your friendships grow shallow.

My experience with a local barber - Julius Agwu

A

t a first contact, Julius will definitely strike you as a compete clown. This goes to buttress why he's into the laughter business. Although he might have been one of the successful Nigerian comedians, when it comes to his comedy-like music, he hasn't really won many fans to himself. In all, he's a goal getter who always has the right set of jokes at the right time. He's also an excellent fashion personality. Julius Agwu is our celebrity guest on today's Hair Affair. Read his hair experiences. My experience with hair relaxer Yes, I'd relaxed my hair in the past. Yeah, ah ah, you no know me? In those early days, I used to blow my hair. I had my hair curled when I released my first album in 2001\2002. I still had the curls up till the time I anchored Laugh Line on NTA Channel 10.

My ugly experience with hair relaxer There was a time my hair got burnt as a result of adding relaxer to it. But na dos ones wey dem do under the bridge o. Going on low cut I decided to cut my hair because I no longer believe in looking haggard. As an artiste, one must look clean because it's a show business- the fans expect one to look nice and presentable for the business to keep moving. Weaving my hair I've always loved to dress to kill. So, the only thing I've ever thought about is how to wear good clothes. Check my clothes out, don't you admire me? Weaving my hair will make me look out of place. In the present, l like my hair low. Adding colour to my hair Yes. I can do that for a good purpose. For instance, if I have a very important role to play at an event, I 'll gladly color my hair because I know it has to do with my profession. But anything outside putting up a performance, I can't. What about barbing his hair by himself? I didn't learn the trade of barbing so, I can't barb my hair myself. So yes, I get one barber. His name is Abbey, he's a local barber. About my barber I met him where I used to live at Falolu in Surulere. He's been my barber for a while now and I'm used to him barbing my hair. I like how he handles my hair that when I wanted to have my wedding, I had to y him from Lagos to Port Harcourt before I could have a hair cut. It's so because I usually ďŹ nd it difďŹ cult to barb my hair any time I travel away from Lagos. So I always wait until I get back to have my hair cut. Now that I've moved to Lekki, anytime I can't go to Surulere, he'll have to come down to Lekki to have my hair barbed. People have asked me to change him but I'm just addicted to him. Shaving my hair I can if I have an accident that affects my head and I'm under compulsion to barb it. Okay, I can barb it to perform a role too. But anything aside that, I can't. Can you imagine me with a skin cut? I can't even imagine it myself!

f you find yourself with a sudden influx of hair on your face, you may want to

remove it. But with all the information and misinformation out there about the best hair removal methods, maybe you're finding yourself a little lost. Read

below for a basic guide on the major hair removal methods. Try tweezing. Tweezing, or pulling the hair out with tweezers, is a cheap and effective way to remove hair from any area on the face. The major downsides are only that it is time-consuming and somewhat painful, especially in sensitive areas. Try an epilator. An Epilator is a device, usually priced between $30-100, which works by pulling out multiple hairs at once. While effective, fast, and relatively inexpensive, it can be painful the first few times it's used. Like with waxing, however, the pain lessens over time as you become used to the sensation. Try dyeing the hair. Often referred to as “bleaching”, this is the practice of dyeing the hair to be the same or a similar color to the skin tone. This makes it less noticeable. What color you choose will be based on your skin tone and special kits can often be purchased for the face. Try a chemical depilatory. This is any one of a number of creams, lotions, and similar products which use a chemical process to "melt" the hair. These are cheap, easy to use, and generally pain-free. However, they can cause chemical burns if used incorrectly and the effects generally last only a week. Source: Wikihow

onday, Jan. 12 was DJ Zeez's birthday and it wasn't just about partying, the dude dropped a new video titled 'Ba Mi Jo' to mark the day.

Owing to the fact that he's been going on and off the market for his inability to drop another hit after 'Farabale', we expected something bigger to compensate for our long wait but alas, the dude just couldn't match up to our expectations. Quality video he's got there in terms of the clean shots. We didn't exactly expect an auto-tune kinda thing from someone who's been in the industry for that longsounds like he's lost his voice quality and decided to hide his slackness under the auto-tune. Yes, the blinding lights in the video gave it the party and club type of ow yet, we had to strain our eyes to see those gorgeous models at the background, he was almost invisible too with all that lights. The 3 mins and 51 secs video could have come more alive with a good choreography given the kind of lyrics he had there..."Bo si gbangba wa ba mi jo/yo" meaning come let's dance and rejoice... None of the girls was even seen around him- the crew were miles apart- the disconnection among the team is appalling. What's with all that slow motion kinda of moves those girls were up to anyway? That didn't do any justice to the kind of beat the song has- real dance moves would have been better. The video is a NO NO, 3/10. Voice is 3/10. Choreography 2/10. lighting/Blinding lights...oops! Stage management, 4/10- he could have used the stage more in the video. The costume is on the average too. Body language and connectivity among the team isn't theremore like everyone was running his/her own show- 3/10. Sound, 5/10 The video shots are clean though- that's why we think he could have achieved more in reality with that song.

he Meeting is basically an attempt to satire the mischief that goes on while citizens attempt to see highlyplaced public office holders in Nigeria.

This 132minutes movie is quite hilarious and the way it goes about treating the subtle but negative characteristics of the Nigerian civil service system, is quite deserving of plaudits. The slick finesse with which Rita Dominic plays the role of the Clara Ikemba – the Minister's Secretary, is one she has not been associated with in the past couple of years in which she either didn't meet a good director or simply grew lazy. This is a Rita Dominic's revival and it is refreshing to see her quite far away from the character of a spoilt/suffering girl who always finds a way of falling in love with somebody. Also, thumbs up to Nse Ikpe Etim-Sule and Chika Chukwu who were brilliant in their respective roles – I almost became convinced that Nse practices prostitution in real life. Starring Rita Dominic, Jide Kosoko, Femi Jacobs, Linda Ejiofor, Nse Ikpe Etim, Kate Henshaw, Chika Chukwu and more, it tells the story of a widower, Makinde Eso, played by Femi Jacobs, who goes to Abuja to honour a business meeting with continues...

the Minister in charge of land allocation on behalf of his company. A trip which was planned to last for less than 24 hours, ends up lasting five days. So, he finds himself in a race against time- first, with his boss back in Lagos who expects him to close the deal as soon as possible and then, his daughter who is graduating from the University of Lagos and expects him to attend the ceremony? Determined to see the Minister before their main rivals for the deal, the Daiwan brothers do, Eso joins a long waiting list consisting of other people from different ethnic affiliations and walks of life who are employing different tactics to achieve their aims of gaining audience with the minister. As Eso's stay extends, his bond with Ejira, a corp member he gave a lift to on his first day in Abuja, deepens. Ejira breaks up with her boyfriend and spends most of her free hours in the company of Eso. By the time Eso gets his business done at the end of the week, albeit with some element of force, the pair had fallen in love with each other. However, the way the storyline unfolds and ends up with Makinde Eso and Ejira becoming lovers, seems a bit too stage managed. Despite the flaws though, this is a well-made movie and it is obvious that a lot of professional effort went into preproduction, production, and post-production. Believe me, time flies when you are seeing this film.

lready a city of luxury, Dubai spends an estimated $6.8 billion prepping for a six-month event. Rulers say the city's spruced-up Trade Center and surrounding sites will "astonish the world." A few things you may not know about the opulent new host town: 1. There are no street addresses in Dubai. People get mail delivered to office P.O boxes, and if they want something taken to a house, they might draw maps on the envelope or write out directions. About 85% 2. of Dubai's residents are foreigners. 3. Since 2008, there's been a series of theme parks in the works at DUBAILAND, the city's already-gigantic "entertainment complex." It will encompass 107 square miles. 4. Part of DUBAILAND? This is probably because the city is near some massive desert dunes. 7. There's no federal income tax for individuals in Dubai. 8. If you kiss in public, you're subject to arrest: in 2010, a visiting British couple spent a month in jail after a two-year-old saw them smooching in a restaurant. 9. Lesser discussed is the Madinat Jumeirah, a massive "resort" compound with two hotels, 29 summer homes, 40 restaurants and taxi boats to shuttle visitors through its manmade thoroughfare of natural sea water. 10. According to General Manager, MTN Nigeria, Funmi Onajide who spoke during a press conference held on Wednesday, Feb.25 at Ikeja, the new package gives customers greater value for money by extending the amount of call through offering the opportunity to make calls at half-price to 11 people. “While it is true that the industry is moving rapidly to Telco 2.0 which is characterized by focus on data and digital services, we also realize the need to make it easier for people to talk on the network. aving experienced the business class as well as commercial class services of Nigerian airlines on several trips, some air travellers have rated high the inflight cuisine provided aboard Aero Contractors.

According to the passengers, the airline operator has taken its inflight catering service a notch higher to add value and create unique experience which complements its core airline services. A frequent air traveller, who declined to be mentioned, said: “I have tasted meals on board other airlines but I can tell you that none comes close to what Aero offers.” Another traveller also gave thumbs up for Aero in-flight meals. “I fly Aero when I'm in the country. Apart from their safety record, I love their meals. It's comparable to what obtains on airlines abroad. I keep wondering who their caterers are and how they're able to achieve this,” he said. Noting how much her kids love the neatly package, meals on Aero, a mother of two said: “My children regularly prefer the Airline because of the inflight snacks. Most times I eat it as a soon as it is served, but they prefer to take it home and enjoy it.” The Business Class meals in particular are earning the airline applause and commendation from passengers for the thoughtfulness and care in its packaging. What is interesting is that Dana Air pioneered this new wave of branded packaged meals but Aero has taken it to a higher level, driving home the saying that, 'If you want to copy, better the original'. Though many airlines now offer meals on-board, no other gives the range and variety that Aero offers. On offer are Tortilla wrap, Spicy Chicken wrap, Caesar Chicken Wrap, Chicken and Steak Wrap, Croissant Sandwiches, Gourmet sandwiches, among many other mouth-watering delicacies. The meals are not only tasty, nutritious and healthier, but also come in high quality user-friendly packaging.

According to him, there would be security camera on board to ensure safety of passengers. The live feeds from the camera will be made available to security agencies to be able to track any mishap. emi Adiukwu-Bakare is a top Lagos society woman who in one way or the other, has contributed immensely to the politicking of Lagos State.

Looking back between 2009 till late 2011, she was everywhere both in the media and on the social scene. There was even a time she was romantically linked to one of the 'James Bond' Of Nigerian movie industry, Saidi Balogun. In fact, rumour had it that she was part of the reason why Saheed Balogun's wife, Fathia Balogun allegedly left him but Saheed later made it known to the media that she's just his god-mother. Bola who also used to be very active during election periods, is also missing in action, especially during the ongoing All Progressive Party campaigns.

T

he new gossip in town has it that billionaire businesswoman and best friend of Dame Patience Jonathan, Hajia Bola Shagaya, allegedly abandoned her husband after he took ill. Although Bola Shagaya and her husband parted ways before their ďŹ rst son got married yet, everyone thinks she should at least show some concern upon hearing about her husband's deteriorating state of health. According to rumour, Alhaji Ganiyu Shagaya has been on sick bed for some time and Bola with whom they share four grown up children and still bears his name, has allegedly abandoned him.

This we also learnt, has increased the number of miracle seekers who troop to his church. But for some time now, little or nothing has been heard about the top seer not to talk of his once bubbling television programme. Rumour has it that the pastor's church has been allegedly facing a decline in membership as new members are not coming while old ones are leaving due to their pastor's alleged controversies. Even during this present political era when other pastors are busy predicting and endorsing political candidates, nothing has been heard from Pastor Ayorinde concerning what will happen in the present political dispensation.

t is no longer news that Dapo Abiodun, an oil baron cum politician took delivery of a new brand Bombardier private jet in September last year.

What is news is that the jet allegedly belongs to the Executive governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun. According to those in the know, the aircraft, laced with the latest ight facilities, is one of the most luxurious in the world, and has been used for Governor Amosun's foreign trips over the years. Prior to that, inside sources divulged that Dapo is allegedly just a caretaker of the jet.

ay above many of his colleagues with whom they served as Lagos State local government chairmen between 1999 and 2003, Barr. Tunde Braimoh has maintained his status both in the political and social circle. Fondly called Big Daddy due to his intimidating looks, the former Chairman of Kosofe Local Government who is currently vying for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly for Agboyi-Ketu, has been sending jitters down the camp of other party contestants. Outstandingly stylish in his dressing, Barr. Braimoh is an APC Chieftain and society buff that controls a wide grassroot support due to his charitable nature. Although many view his ambition for a seat in the House of Assembly as too low for his status however, according to him, it matters less which position he has been chosen by his party to serve. Speaking he said; “this is the capacity my Party wanted me to contest for so why should I object? Politics is about service. It doesn't matter if it is as a Governor, Senator or House of Representative.

By Abosede Akintayo How many of you remember what Iyanya used to look like when he contested for the ďŹ rst edition of Project Fame West Africa? If don't remember, let me help you with this picture.

So now, you have an idea of what he looks like back then. He looked really cool although, he was yet to get launched into wealth like it is now. Gradually, he started this body building routine and everyone was tripping upon sighting the ex Project Fame winner. The body building was moderate so we understood that he needed to add a little muscle. Like, check out this picture;

But now, we no longer understand what's going on with Iyanya. Could it be the quest to remain relevant or he's just trying on different looks at different times? Aside his overgrown beards, that chest is just too big, those muscles too! Seriously, I just feel like crying right now because those muscles may soon get too stretched out and eventually fail like those of Bruce Li- pardon me but, that's just the truth. See for yourself;

How about when those muscles are covered up in some clothes like in this shot;

Oops! Doesn't look good with that chest of his.
