The Siesta Dilemma
Everyone says they love a good night’s rest, but did you know that more than a third of Americans aren’t getting enough sleep?
According to researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 40 percent of Americans admit to sleeping less than seven hours per night, which is associated with an increased risk for diabetes, stroke, heart disease and other illnesses. To solve the problem, experts suggest significant lifestyle changes, such as making sleep a priority, going to bed at the same time each night and turning off electronic devices or removing them from the bedroom completely.
