STUDENT SUCCESS
After giving birth to her daughter, Viviana had trouble getting back into school. When she was ready for college, she connected with the Evergreen Valley College Transition Specialist, who helped her navigate financial aid, provided a campus tour, and personally showed her the exact location of her classrooms.
This helped Viviana pursue a Business Administration degree, and in 2018, she was named a Teen Success Scholarship recipient.

Earning a high school diploma or high school equivalency such as GED or HiSET can make a real difference in your future. A diploma shows that you have learned the basic skills and knowledge included in a high school education.
Which is right for you?
Both the high school diploma and high school equivalency certificate lead to the same result, but the process for earning each of them is different.
High School Diploma (HSD)
To earn a high school diploma, you must earn no less than 150 high school credits.
High School Equivalency (GED or HiSET)
To earn a high school equivalency certificate, you must pass all subject area tests.
There are two equivalency options: GED and HiSET. The GED is a test split into four subject areas and the HiSET is a test split into five. Fees may apply.
