I believe that the best way to convince and motivate people to support the internal tourism is to use tourism facilities available in the kingdom to meet the need of traveling abroad. To achieve so, we should provide the Saudi people with the needs, requirements and fields they seek and find them in

sectors in the field of specialized services. When I first started to study the feasibility of these ideas, I found that there is a kind of integration between the industry of tourism on the one hand, and offering the medical services in the form of therapeutic and curing centers on the other hand. If we are here to present Al-Hasa as a therapeutic and curing destination in the region, these centers should be aware of the tourism capabilities of the area and how to invest them in the way that contributes and

Therapeutic Tourism in Al-Hasa many countries which, in fact, have less financial capabilities compared to the kingdom. So where are the facilities available such as housing, transportations, malls and entertainment projects which satisfy the nationals regarding the internal tourism? In other words, any one among us rarely finds reservation to travel in the appropriate time he determines and comes back home in case he wants to travel to the south, the north, or any area in the kingdom. In addition to this problem, if a person travels with his family, he’ll face another big problem regarding the convenient housing. If he solves this problem, he will need places to spend his vacation in such as restaurants, malls and entertaining centers for his children. Let me ask, where is all this in the cities, villages and the kingdom’s regions? Al-Hasa Investment Forum held recently and was honored by the presence of the prince of the eastern region Prince Mohamed Bin Fahd and a group of the attendants, specialized guests and businessmen from inside and outside the kingdom including two-day activities. Al-Moosa Hospital had the opportunity to take part in it as the forum medical sponsor. A number of ideas, visions and suggestions were discussed on how to market Al-Hasa as a promising investing destination. I think it is the time for presenting serious ideas concerning a feasibility study regarding the possibility of using Al-Hasa facilities to make it a well-known destination for therapeutic tourism, psychotherapy centers and the sanatorium of drug treatment in the region. There is no doubt that the oasis of Al-Hasa possesses variety of natural and unique elements. The other facilities Al-Hasa owns are its location on the Arabian Gulf and its closeness from the other gulf counties. In fact, all these reasons make it so qualified to succeed in benefiting from establishing exceptional therapeutic and curing centers for serving a huge number of

develops the therapeutic programs to suit different regional diseases and satisfy the patients. No one can ignore the fact that the psychological problems, addition cases and incurable diseases have increased dramatically in our Arab societies, but even started to be colored by the colors of the current time to invade our behaviors and aspects, and to form more complicated concepts for people with different levels and types. This isn’t limited to poor people only, but in fact the rich people are more affected. Thus, this requires establishing other specialized sanatoriums with high levels. For example, there are sanatoriums and hospitals with very high standards, called Priory Hospital, in Britain specialized in treating psychological diseases and addition cases. The patients come to them from all over the world to spend long therapeutic periods which extend to months. The gift of mineral water wells regardless to its different characteristics isn’t limited to specific countries rather than others; however, they are found in many countries all over the world, but the main difference is that some counties have known their therapeutic characteristics, analyzed, developed and improved their locations to become an awesome destination for those who suffer from pain and exhaustion.

Gen. Hospital in Al-Hasa, Malek Abdul Aziz Al-Moosa, was entitled by “The CEO Twhichheof theCEOwasyearofheldAl-Moosa award” for the health sector in the kingdom. Al-Moosa got his award during the ceremony in Prince Sultan Al Saud Grand Hall - Al Faisaliah Hotel – Riyadh. The ceremony was organized by the CEO Middile east magazine issued by Arabian Business Group. In fact, Malek Al-Moosa is regarded as the youngest winner of the title of “th CEO of the year ” in the kingdom. Elite of businessmen and a group of economical and media representatives in the Middle East have attended the ceremony of distributing awards given to 17 CEOs representing several sectors in the kingdom. The awards were presented by Abdul Aziz Al-Ajlan, the vice-chairman of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It’s worth mentioning that Malek Al-Moosa, (27 years old), was selected among a number of candidates for this title because of his incredible success in just one year to leap up with Al-Moosa Gen. Al-Moosa Laboratory hosts the Students of “Nada» In collaboration with Laboratory Department in the hospital, an educative and informative visit has been coordinated for the high school students of “Nada International Schools”. During the visit, a scientific lecture has been presented to the students entitled “Types of Blood Groups” by Dr. Adel Balaha, the head of laboratory department in Al-Moosa Gen. Hospital in which he explained different types of blood groups, the advantages of each group, and how to figure out each group type. Then there was a workshop where an illustration was demonstrated showing how to draw blood and what are the substances to be added to let us know the blood type. Later on, all the students were asked to be tested to know their blood groups. At the end of the visit, gift tokens were presented by the hospital management and commemorative photos were taken. This activity was organized by the health education program of the hospital which is activated through the daily and regular visits of schools’ male and female students to get them to know the nature of the medical services. During the visits, scientific lectures are usually presented according to their academic level.

invention of the CT machines is considered one of the most important events in medicine that occurred in the eighteens of the last century. - At first the CT machines was too slow , to the extent that CT brain takes about 30 minutes which is unfeasible for trauma patient or pediatric that are continuously moving so we have to repeat the exam, although the invention of CT was like a miracle saving us from multiple un-necessary craniotomy for exclusion of brain hemorrhage (imagine somebody opening your brain to know if there is hemorrhage or not) - Important revolution by the invention of the 3rd generation CT machines or helical (spiral ) CT has occurred in the nineteenth , in that machines ; a slip ring tube technique ; in which the tube continuously rotates and the table moves during the rotation like the spiral. This fast technique enables us to perform triphsaic CT liver and CT angiography for pulmonary artery through slip ring technique but with only detector so we get only one image per tube rotation.

- The biggest revolution achieved when more than one detector is used for example if we use 16 detector , so that we can get 16 image or slice per single tube rotation , this of course gives us more diagnostic images with less image noise also shortness examination time. - Almoosa Hospital owns MDCT to be the first and sole private hospital in Alhasa province that own that kind of machine. That machine is GE MDCT 64 slice so we can get 64 slice or image per single tube rotation; the tube rotation time is also fast (only 0.4 second )so we can get 64 image every 0.4 second , so we can do brain CT for example in 0.4 second, so we can do coronary angiography in two cardiac beats instead of invasive angiography, so we can do pulmonary angiography with high accuracy for pulmonary embolism, so we can do virtual endoscopy or brnchoscopy , so we can do hundreds of exams in limited time and less radiation exposure with high accuracy. - Almoosa Hospital by owning this advanced MDCT ensures its mission in serving dear people of Alhasa province that actually deserves it.
