About us

ALADYR - Latin American Association of Desalination and Water Reuse. We are a non-profit trade association that promotes timely knowledge and experiences related to desalination, water reuse, and effluent treatment technologies to optimize water management in Latin America and ensure access to potable water under standards of quality, efficiency, sustainability, economic development, and social welfare. Founded on November 30, 2010, during the II International Desalination Seminar in the city of Antofagasta, Chile. With over 14 years of experience, we have become leaders and a reference for all of Latin America. We have more than 120 members, including technology and service providers, advisors and consultants, engineering companies, manufacturers, end-users, academia, and associations among others.

Translations: ALADYR provides translation services for partner companies to publish content in English, Portuguese, or Spanish, expanding their audience reach.

Communication and Institutional Journalism Advisory Services: We craft and distribute press releases (using your provided inputs or pre-drafted releases) to allied media outlets, enhancing visibility among target audiences.

Our social media channels are your channels too. We offer content dissemination: Share technical content, informative notes (non-commercial), and technical/informative videos, interviews, and more.

Access to ALADYR’s virtual library and content sections (on ALADYR website) with over 600 technical presentations. Registration required.

Webinar hosting: From February to December, we will set up a schedule of two monthly webinars, for a total of 22. If you are interested, simply write to us with a proposal for the topic, and our Technical Committee will evaluate it and schedule it in the available spaces. We handle logistics, send invitations to our entire database, and provide our platform for up to 10,000 attendees. Our magazine “Aguas Latinoamerica” has four editions per year. You can participate in any of them by publishing technical/informative content accompanied by advertising.

Dead line for content submission:

• First edition: February 15.

• Second edition May 15.

• Third edition August 15.

Guidelines for receiving content:

• You can send us the written piece already completed, or request a meeting so that you can provide us with the necessary informational inputs (interviews, guidelines, content), and we will take care of writing the article and sending it to you for review before publishing it.

• If you send us a completed article or technical paper, please keep the following in mind:

• News articles should be between 300 and 500 words, focusing on recent events or important developments in the water sector; preferably from the current month or the previous month. We also accept social news, such as social responsibility initiatives, business partnerships, anniversaries, or other topics that deserve visibility. Depending on the topic, the article will be placed in different sections of the magazine.

• Technical Papers: Between 1,000 and 3,000 words. They should be detailed, including analysis, case studies, or research related to water management. The papers can be from research or studies conducted within the last two years, ensuring that the information is relevant and up-to-date.

• Thematic Focus: Emphasis on water and its management in Latin America, including but not limited to: Wastewater treatment, Desalination, Water resource management, Innovative technologies in the water sector, Water sustainability and conservation, Public policies related to water, Relevant collaborations or projects in the region. We recommend including current topics of interest, such as: The impact of climate change on water resources. Green technology solutions. International collaborations for water management.

• Each partner can publish a maximum of one technical paper and one news article per edition.

• You can send us the information in Spanish, English or Portuguese, and we will take care of translating it into the corresponding language.

Guidelines for receiving content:

• Partners who submits information for the magazine can accompany their article with a full-page advertisement in PDF format.

• If you wish, we can design the advertisement using the graphic inputs and text that you provide. We will take care of designing it according to your guidelines and send it to you for review and comments before publishing.

• In the event that the partner is publishing both a news article and a technical paper, the advertisement will accompany only one of them. The benefits corresponds to one advertisement per edition.

• The advertisement must always accompany the news article or technical paper from the partner.

Guidelines for receiving content:

• We invite you to participate with articles that involve your clients/end-users. You can use your space in the magazine to give visibility to your clients’ water management. It is an excellent option to demonstrate that you’re not only committed to optimizing their water processes but also to giving them well-deserved recognition for their management in favor of the technologies we promote.

• You can suggest to us cases of interest from end-users to publish in our magazine. Tell us about which projects you would like to know more about and we will take care of obtaining the information to give you the details in our magazine.

The more timely information we provide to the industry and to the general public, the fewer obstacles there will be to the development of water management in Latin America.

Notable dates

Here’s a list of notable dates that you can consider to position content on social media or send information about your products and services. These dates allow you to take advantage of media moments or news to upload interesting content.

Take from this list those that relate to your organization, products, services, or philosophy; you can develop notes or simply design images to accompany the social media post, which should be published along with the corresponding hashtags (#). For example: World Sanitation Day, design a graphic and in the text (copy) of the publication put #sanitation #cleanwater #drinkingwater #waterreuse #desalination... This will allow you to appear in related search profiles and improve your follower numbers.

For each of these notable dates, ALADYR publishes content on social media. You can leave your comments, especially on LinkedIn, and/or repost our publication on your networks, sharing your experience and comments. This helps us continue growing and allows you to reach new audiences on social media.

For the most relevant notable dates, we create press releases that we send to media outlets. If you would like to be included in these press releases, please let us know at least 6 days in advance of the notable date of interest, and we will consider you for statements and content contributions. Events technical agenda

The application process is now open to be part of the technical agenda of our congress. We invite you to participate by submitting successful cases or current technological developments that will enrich the dynamics of the events.

Consider the following premises:

• Successful cases that include participation/explanation from end-users are of great interest to attendees and a very effective strategy for retaining customers by giving them a space to promote their commitment to water management and sustainability.

• Your suggestions are welcome for building our agendas. Don’t hesitate to let us know the topics and cases you’d like to see covered in our congresses, and our team will take care of contacting the relevant parties.

• The application process for the technical agendas of our congresses closes when our agenda is complete. The maximum deadline is 30 days before the event; however, some congresses with high participation rates may close the application process earlier. We recommend applying as far in advance as possible.

Guidelines for applying:

All applications are evaluated by our technical committee. Please send your application to the email: dircom@aladyr.net, meeting the following requirements:

• Main Author: greeting, name, last name, position, company, country, phone, mobile, email.

• Presenter’s biography (maximum 1 page, letter format)

• Presentation title

• Indicate if the topic has been presented or published previously (when and where).

• Summaries must be a maximum of 4 full pages, letter format, single-spaced, 12-point font, and provide an overview of the presentation and its relevance.

The Technical Committee will evaluate:

• The impact, contribution, or importance of the success story/development/ project/research/technology.

• The originality of the work, describing new solutions or new approaches.

• The adequacy between the thematic tracks and the proposal.

• The development stage of the proposal (prospection and concrete results based on data or solid justification).

• Comparison according to related works.

Partner products and services

In order to provide greater commercial visibility to our partners, we offer a catalog that is sent quarterly to our database, with the aim of bringing their commercial proposals, products, and services closer to end-users in a faster and more efficient way.

Every year, we focus on optimizing our databases, placing special emphasis on reaching end-users and government entities to ensure their participation in our congresses. These databases can be used for other purposes that provide benefits to our partners.

In this context, we invite you to participate in the catalog by clearly and concisely showcasing your most outstanding products and services.

Guidelines

• All partners can participate. To do so, they will have two pages/sheets to place a brief summary of their company and highlight the products and services they are most interested in promoting, along with contact information for potential interested parties.

• Each partner’s section will include their logo, company summary, list of products and/or services, related images, and contact information. The partner must provide this information to ALADYR, and we will take care of the editing.

• We encourage you to be creative in this advertisement. You can incorporate audiovisual elements such as videos, process diagrams, 3D views. A friendly face presenting the services/products is an assertive strategy to reach those who do not have time to read details. The video can be embedded in the advertisement via a link with a call to click.

Considerations

• For the catalog, we maintain a unique link that does not change and allows us to update publications indefinitely.
