By extracting the newly found ice on the moon. It is estimated that a total of 6.6 billion tons of ice is on the moon. The discovery of new ice deposits in the moons craters increases that number today.
As long term space travel begins to advance the need for growing food during the flight becomes a necessary means of survival. The techniques of aeroponic farming has been tested aboard the Mir Space Station.
Through the use of electrolysis we are able to separate the hydrogen and oxygen from the water and harvest them for use on the space station.
Aeroponic systems can reduce water usage by 98% and fertilizer use by 60%. The crops grown are also a potential source of fresh oxygen and clean drinking water.

To apply the idea of exponential growth to this looped system I started to investigate the ideas of a mobius strip as well as a torus. These systems apply a number of twists and loops to a standard loop with out increasing the size of the original diameter.

Using a rule set based on proximity, duration, & action the field is orginized according to programatic requirements. The program controls this system. For example the labratory needs moderate isolation due to experiments while the fueling station needs complete isolation due to its volatile capabilities.
