Eyepins, head pins, eyescrews There are many different findings to turn your creations into charms. Eyepins have one loop at the top and then straight wire down to the end, these can be used in polymer clay however they are not as stable as other findings. Head-pins have a loop but a flat pin at the bottom and you would typically push these through the bottom of a piece then create a loop using pliers. The most secure finding is the eye screw which you can either screw into your charm before or after baking your creations.
Jumpring, split ring etc Jumprings and splitrings are all used to attach your creations to bracelets, necklaces and many other things. Jumprings are just one strand circular rings which can attach your charms to other jewellery pieces. Splitrings are slightly more secure and you have to wind your pieces onto it to be secured just like a keyring. Just like eyepins jumprings are used for many other types of craft even chain mail creations.
Pliers- round nose, flat nose Pliers are used a lot in jewellery making and are not essential to polymer clay unlesss you wish to wear your pieces are jewellery. There are loads of different types of pliers but the most useful for polymer clay artists are flat nosed and round nosed pliers.
