CONTEXT
Two showrooms are located on opposite sides of the dealership, connected by a test track. This test track becomes a moving showroom and beacon to the public as customers try out particular hybrid models. The circulation paths of people and cars intertwine as the building twists upward. An exterior charging/changing station for hybrid cars, open to the public, is located below the plinth where the test track is housed. Atop the track is a green observation deck which provides access to the city’s new monorail. En route to the top is an exhibition of Tesla technology and concept cars. At the tower’s zenith rests a café where diners can take in luxurious view of both Victoria Bay and Hong Kong. D

RESPONSIVE PAVILLION This pavillion is designed as a ‘MAKERSPACE.’ Much like a studio for artists, a Makerspace is somewhere that tinkerers gather to create. Logically, a space to house an ever-changing adaptable program full of forward-thinking, technologically inclined people is HIGHLY CUSTOMIZABLE. There are 3 ZONES OF CHANGE where the program is planned to expand and contract. Robotic arms will assemble foldable panels into configurations that provide ENCLOSURE STRUCTURE PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS

ZONES OF CHANGE
RESPONSIVE PAVILLION EAST RIVER PARK, NYC
New York is the last hi-tech frontier. Finally tech startups and ‘maker’ culture have begun to take hold. This project highlights the overlap between performance art and the act of ‘making.’ PROGRAM Performance Art + MakerSpace Performances and inventive fabrication take place within close enough proximity of each other to have profound and unexpected influence. Performance art because it favors tangential inspiration, invention in hopes of inspiring the ‘eureka moment.’ CONCEPT The Combinatorial This process of mutual influence is derivative of our daily interection with ‘the combinatorial.’ The combinatorial:
Ex:
a series of algorthithms that interact with each other in some unexpected way to produce an entirely new result. Very quickly evolving. The effect that Google analytics has had on the news. Now, instead of an article being written simply because it is traditionally defined as ‘news,’ it may be written because the critical number of people searched for a keyphrase.
MAKERSPACE PROGRAM DETAILS
PERFORMANCE/ TECHNOLOGY/ HUMAN INTERACTION
EVOLUTION Flexibility of Form A
There is a basic shell of the building that is permanent. 3 zones expand and shrink, adjusting for programmatic demands.
In these instances the building self-replicates, growing according to its programmed assembly algorithm. Panels are arranged by 6-axis robotic arms. [14] rootMODULE framework 01
No assembly will appear twice. User interface is designed to be interactive, allowing the public to filter through the algorithmically generated forms, thereby adding final layer of combinatorial complexity. MAKERSPACE

RENOVATION PRIVATE RESIDENCE Rye, NY June 2011
One of many projects worked on at Crozier-Gedney. Entirely gutted when the project arrived at the firm, -the kitchen was renovated -custom cabinetry and millwork was installed throughout -two bathrooms were installed -electrical circuitry was brought up to code -a sunroom was added -new appliances were specified and installed throughout. The house is located in a gated community that caters to independent elderly couples. There is a particular code that each house must adhere to in terms of color schemes and appliances.
