Minecraft Coding and Design Studio

Minecraft isn't just the world's most popular game; it's also an excellent tool for teaching a wide array of subjects At Athena, we've developed a project-based approach to a variety of important topics using Minecraft Educational; our course will cover personalized game design, animation, and storytelling, programming in Python and Javascript, architecture and design, the fundamentals of electrical circuitry using Minecraft's patented Redstone circuit system, logic gates, multi-system mechanisms, modding and more At the end of each class, students take home a freshly minted 3D-printed model of a design!

Game Design and Coding with Scratch and Python

Our unique project-based class is designed to allow young students to develop their creative storytelling or game designing abilities, and then gives them the opportunity to bring them to life in Scratch and Python
Students have a blast, and create App Store Caliber games like Flappy Bird, and learn plenty of professional programming practices, including how to use binary operators, conditional statements, sequencing, functions, variables, commenting practices, and loops

You'll use the Lua programming language to create in Roblox's 3D design studio while mastering real-world programming concepts Whether you're completely new to coding or a master, Roblox's game design engine offers some incredibly fun challenges We offer a unique and collaborative approach to programming and game design that will allow kids to develop their creativity while fostering an interest in practical skills

Have fun creating and sharing apps with your friends During this course, you will learn how to create user interfaces as well as utilize device sensors develop simple games and tools for android devices Run the apps you create on your android device or simulator (Strongly preferred to use a physical device as many of the sensors we will be using are not present in the emulator)
