Kids Carpentry
Kids' Carpentry teaches children the safe use of hand tools in a fun environment Kids build their own wooden projects from scratch, gaining experience in physical engineering, applied math, problem solving, and patience The lessons, projects, and tools evolve with each student’s individual pace We build from a variety of project examples such as boats, trucks, bird feeders, doll furniture, spinning tops, airplanes, shelves, boxes, games and much more

Your child will not want to miss out on learning how to make yam soufflés; grilled peaches and goat cheese croquettes with lavender honey sauce, salted caramel apple pie cookies, rosemarymaple cornbread muffins, pumpkin cheesecake swirl cupcakes, and more!

Beginner/Intermediate Fashion Sewing- Holiday Gifts
AGES 9-16
Students will learn to sew holiday gifts for friends and family (No experience needed, intermediates welcome!) Project options include aprons, fleece hats, napkin sets, zipper pouches, ties, and more Classes have a small student to instructor ratio where students will learn to safely operate a professional sewing machine and iron, read a sewing pattern, and illustrate their designs
All of the materials will be provided including high quality fabrics, threads, and personalized embroidery

Ready to Python your way through Summer? Join Code for fun to experience one of the most popular coding languages taught around the world
Guided by an experienced Code for Fun teacher, students will explore beginning and intermediate levels of the language
Code for fun instructors are experts in computer science and make all of our online sessions fun and engaging for all ages

After school Program
Friendship Club is an after school oasis where children are nurtured, respected, and create their own community within our walls Our curriculum is inquiry based and driven by the interests of the children Children have an opportunity for daily indoor and outdoor play, along with having time for relaxation and homework
This year, all Friendship Club participants will join together at Ocean View Park They will have access to the portable classrooms, play structure, baseball field, tennis courts, and redwood grove
Participants will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis, and space allowing
Dates:
August 14, 2023-June 4, 2024 Program days will correspond with the AUSD calendar for days off and vacations from school

5 days/week (no partial registration)
Early Bird–6 PM: $620/month
Late Bird–6 PM: $465/month

Junior Counselor Program
The Junior Counselor program offers tweens and teens from 6th to 10th grade the opportunity to give back to their community, gain valuable leadership experience, and be a mentor to younger children During their shift, participants will join Recreation Leaders to assist with various projects and games while having a good time
Junior Counselors are encouraged to participate in all their program correspondence Please ask them to call, email, organize, and initiate! Your cooperation is greatly appreciated

Resident $324 & Non-Resident $334 per 3-month commitment

Friendship Subsidy Program
The City of Albany is offering financial subsidies to income-eligible participants in the Winter Friendship Camp and Junior Counselor Program The subsidies are available to campers and junior counselors who reside in Albany This temporary program is funded through Albany’s American Rescue Plan Act funds
Interested families should apply before completing registering Applications will be accepted until funds are no longer available
