Albany Technical College is exceptionally proud of our Dual Enrollment graduates, who continue to make career strides and contribute positively to their communities. Our dedicated students have demonstrated the immense value of dual enrollment programs, paving the way for a brighter future for themselves and others.

Dual enrollment at Albany Technical College equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their chosen fields while simultaneously earning both high school and college credits. This innovative approach to education expedites their academic journey and increases their chances of success in the workforce.

Statistics reveal the undeniable benefits of dual enrollment programs for students. In Georgia, 88% of dual enrollment students graduate from high school, compared to the state average of 83% (source: Georgia Department of Education). Furthermore, research conducted by the Community College Research Center (CCRC) indicates that dual-enrollment students are more likely to enroll in college and complete their degrees. In fact, 71% of dual enrollment students enroll in college immediately after high school, compared to 55% of their non-dual enrollment peers.

In Georgia, dual enrollment programs have seen a significant increase in participation. The University System of Georgia reported a 4.4% increase in dual enrollment students between 2018-2019 and 2019-2020. This growth illustrates the rising recognition and appreciation for the potential of dual enrollment programs to shape the future of education and workforce development.
