Letter from the President
As we close another successful academic year, Albany Technical College continues to make strides in academic achievement and community impact. Our graduates excelled across various programs, achieving 100% pass rates in Surgical Technology, EMT, and Paramedicine. We also introduced forward-thinking technical certificates of credit such as Electric Vehicle Professional, Cybersecurity, and Geriatric Care Assistant to meet the evolving needs of our community and industry partners.
This year saw the groundbreaking of the Dr. Anthony O. Parker Transportation Academy and significant expansions, including the launch of the Titans Culinary Cuisine Restaurant. Our faculty and students earned national recognition, and we were honored to host the TCSG State Board meeting on campus. Additionally, our basketball team made history by winning the GCAA Division 1 regular season title for the first time.
Looking to the future, a Department of Defense Skillbridge Program will further our efforts working with veterans and their families, while the upcoming renovation of our Automotive Technology programs promises even more opportunities for our students. We also solidified key partnerships, such as pathways with Grand Canyon University and Western Governor’s University, ensuring continued growth and success for our graduates. As we prepare for the next academic year, our commitment to excellence remains unwavering, and we are excited to build on these achievements to continue supporting our students and the wider community.

• Medical Assistant Program: CAAHEP Accreditation visit (October 2023)
• Radiology Technology Program: JRCERT Accreditation visit (November 2023)

• SkillsUSA National Medal Winners: 1 Gold in First Aid/CPR; 3 Bronze in Emergency Medical Technician and Nurse Assisting
• SkillsUSA GA State Medal Winners: 5 Gold in Prepared Speech, Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technician and Nurse Assisting; 7 Silver in Masonry, Firefighting, Practical Nursing, Early Childhood Education, Dental Assisting, Nurse Assisting and Medical Assisting; 2 Bronze in Welding Sculpture and Cosmetology.
