Announcing the Winners of the 2021 ABC Bursary By Alberta Beekeepers Commission Every year the ABC commits to supporting the advancement of the Alberta beekeeping industry by offering a $3000 Educational Bursary Program. The bursary program aims to support individuals who are actively involved in beekeeping, intend to pursue a future in beekeeping or intend to pursue a career in an area that may impact beekeeping (e.g. pathology, research or agronomy). The program offers three $1000 bursaries to attend an accredited University or College in Canada. The ABC board received a stellar range of applications from across the industry this year and we are pleased to congratulate the following individuals who were successfully awarded one of the $1000 educational bursaries: • Allison Kwantes • Kayla deJong • Brett Wolfe We wish to thank all the individuals who applied for the 2021 ABC Bursary, and look forward to launching the program again in 2022.
