Politecnico di Milano Campus is divided into two separated layers: the ground floor, the level of connection with the city, and an underground floor ( -4,80 m) which is perceived as a private and safe space for students, but lacking of identity and interesting activities. Glue project takes the city layer into the campus’ area, connecting them physically and visually. Under the big curved bridge we designed some small modules, called Pavillions, where the connections between the upper and the lower layer are highlighted with pubblic functions as bar, restaurant, exposition pavillion, study rooms, model labs. The curved shelter allows neighborhood inhabitants and students to enjoy the esixting swimming pool area of “Piscina Ponzio” , currently enclosed and not accessible in winter time.

We respected the rules and the dimension given by the masterplan. We tryed to enlarge the scale of the project designing an apartment which is able to involve the neighbourhood trhough a small and flexible art gallery, facing the public space. We decided to create a double house, divided by a small street inspired by ancient streets of the old city of Amsterdam. That choice allowed us to menage with the small dimension of housing, but at the same time with different layers of society: private and public..

In my Thesis work i analysed the Quartiere santâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;Ambrogio, located in Milan. I studied this architecture element and i explained it with pictures, redrawings plans, sections, facades, and sketches.
