Floating University Pavilion
Construction volunteer
Architecture: Lorenz Kuschnig
Summer 2022 / Berlin
On the site of the Floating University, the rainwater collection basin serving the former Tempelhof airfield, a diverse range of animals, plants and algae have taken root and given birth to a unique landscape: a human-made environment reclaimed by nature where polluted water coexists with the relatively new presence of the University, forming a natureculture (Haraway) or a third landscape (Clément).
Participation in the construction of the pavilion implied understanding the different phases of the assembly of an ephemeral pavilion, from the joints of the wooden structure to the inflation process of the membrane and the creation of a wooden floor.

Stigmergy
Design Studio 8 awarded WithHonors
Unit Soriano
Spring 2022 /ETSAM
Stigmergy is a mechanism of indirect coordination, through the environment, between agents or actions. The principle is that the trace left in the environment by an individual action stimulates the performance of a successive action by the same or a different agent. The behavior of groups of birds during the flight, in the surroundings of Bus Park No. 7 in Kyiv, is analyzed, simulating the simple rules that are followed by individuals.
This analysis joins two others on the lighting condition and the relative humidity in the environment, arriving at a complex situation in which three disparate programs occur simultaneously: a library for the rarest books in the world and installations by Bill Viola, a temporary swarm for bird species close to the environment and a treatment center through exposure therapy for existential phobias, nyctophobia, ornithophobia and acrophobia.
The complexity of the ensemble allows each program to be developed simultaneously, reacting indirectly to the stimuli of the rest of the programs, human and non-human agents, actions and atmospheres, as well as allowing the possibility of new situations being incorporated or arising. A new stigmergic relationship in Kyiv.
Trip to More
Design Studio 7 awarded WithHonors
Unit Sancho
Fall 2021 /ETSAM
Trip to More is the search for the lost. Trip to more is a distorted reality. Trip to More is what we do not perceive. A threshold in which the external disappears. Ibiza appears as a universe out of time, where everything is allowed with its risks and dangers.
From a socio-temporal and filmic investigation, 14 spaces are created that, as frames, sequence a temporal course from the material, to the material absence, to the spiritual. These spaces appear immersed in a structure of 240 by 40 meters. Distortion between the inside and the outside. A world of dreamlike character, unknown. Suppression of time.
An initiatory journey towards a more intense experience. The dream of Ibiza. Trip to MORE.

Spring 2020 /ETSAM
Ports, changing scenarios, circuses of commercial, social, historical and marine actors, in a continuous operation where acquisition, manufacturing, export, consumption are mixed.
Border lines are detected where the port industry separates the city from the sea and along these borders a series of anomalies: ruins, obsolescence, piling, overlapping, voids. The proposal considers the thickness of this line and absorbs the potential of its anomalies.
Mutation, decontextualization, appropriation. Control space, residual space, interstices. Flood, eruption, condensation.
Complex, flexible, mutable relationships over time. Simultaneity of situations, third landscape, emptiness, shipyards.
CityLog
Urban Design Studio graded 30/30
Luca Tamini, Paolo Marini Fall2020 /POLIMI

Life that is articulated around the electricity production system that harnesses the energy of the wind and Sun. Enable horizontal growth attached to the situations that are created on the ground, and another one that moves away from the hustle and bustle looking for isolation. High density that creates a continuous space of successions of uncovered patios and surfaces delimited by the “sails”, pulsed by vertical elements of sedentary individualistic life.
Nomadic individualistic life that hangs from the infrastructure of trusses. The uses of housing are dispersed throughout the city always close to the major routes.
Catharsis
Design Studio 1 awarded WithHonors Unit Grupo4! Spring 2018 /ETSAM
First day, Catharsis; second day, Abstraction; third day, Gaze; fourth day, Measure. Repeat.
From the world of ideas, to the reality of construction. Tasting materials, colors, textures; sampling escales, geometries; exploring environments, relations. A place to stay, a place to live, a place to get together. The Project. Platforms in the nature, bubbles hanging up, canes hovering. Simplicity and truth. CATHARSIS.
