Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater. If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.
Discover Scuba Diving
Your introduction to scuba diving starts at 11am daily at Al Boom Diving on Al Wasl Rd. After an introduction classroom session, you will try diving in the swimming pool, under the supervision of our PADI instructors. Please find attached location map for your reference. The dives will be run at 3pm; 5pm and 7pm daily. You will need to arrive one hour beforehand, at the entrance to the Underwater Zoo on the 2nd floor. Please note, if you would like the 1pm slot, the training cannot be done on the same day. A short and informative presentation will be given to prepare you for your dive. Actual dive time will be 20-30 minutes and the water temperature is 23°C. All dive gear will be provided, as we keep it aquarium-clean. The dive is 875 AED inclusive of dive gear rental, the training presentation, DAN diver insurance (represented in the UAE by Oman Insurance PSC) and a certificate of participation.
Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory part of scuba diving. During this activity you will do the classroom session and the pool training for the basic skills of scuba diving followed by the Aquarium dive. You can still participate in this programme even if you don’t know how to swim, as long as you are at least comfortable in the water.
Complete the full Discover Scuba Diving Dubai Aquarium experience at the Dubai Aquarium. Starting at 1pm at the Dubai Aquarium, you will complete your theory and pool session at the aquarium instead of at Al Boom Diving. This option costs 1,150 AED per person. Please note though that after completing this program you will only receive a certificate of participation but this doesn’t serve as the license (as a fully qualifying diver), but your experience may count toward PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification, putting you a step ahead of the game when you decide to go for it. To start with, please answer the attached medical questionnaire with a YES or a NO. If you’ve got any YES answer to any of the questions, then we’ll require you to submit a medical certificate from your doctor stating that you’re fit to dive. At the end of your diving experience you will receive free ticket to visit Underwater Zoo section. Kindly collect your ticket from our staff.
