Scuba Dive Course @
Taking scuba lessons is a great way to meet new people. You will meet friendly, expert PADI dive professionals who will introduce you to everything scuba has to offer. The PADI Scuba Diver course is an entry-level scuba certification, useful for those wanting to dive recreationally but who may be a little short on time to complete the full Open Water Diver course. You will learn many of the same skills and techniques as on the Open Water course, but there are further limitations, due to not completing the later modules. You will be qualified to dive to 12 meters depth and you must dive with a PADI professional at all times. Scuba Divers aged less than 15 years old receive a Junior Scuba Diver Certification Age: • 10 years old • Students younger than 15 years, who successfully complete the course, qualify for the PADI Junior Scuba Diver certification, which they may upgrade to PADI Open Water Diver certification upon reaching 15. • Children going for their ocean dives (Jumeirah or Fujairah): may go unattended, however, parent/guardian are to sign Youth Diving: Responsibility & Risks Acknowledgements form upon signing up for the course.
Learning Materials: You will need and use the following training materials during the PADI Scuba Diver course and for your review and reference after the course. All provided when you sign up for the course: • The PADI Open Water Diver Manual • PADI Open Water Diver Video on DVD or the PADI Open Water Diver Multimedia (combines manual and video for computer based learning). • You will also need your PADI Log book
The course is consists of: 3 Knowledge Development Sessions, 3 Confined Water sessions conducted in our on-site swimming pool and lastly, 2 Open Water dives from Jumeirah beach. The sessions (classroom and pool) are scheduled into sections. The course takes only 2 days to complete This is subject to weather conditions and availability; please allow extra days for any changes.
The course cost 1,750 AED per person and this includes the PADI course materials; book, dive table, diver logbook, equipment rental, DAN short term diver insurance and the certification card after the completion of the course. When you start scuba diving, as a minimum, you want your own mask, snorkel and fins. These have a personal fit, our retail staff/instructor can help you choose these that are best suited to you. Sample schedule with Theory: Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: Theory & Pool 1-3, Quizzes Open Water dives: Daily Can only be booked when all theory & pool sessions are completed and signed off by the instructor – please ensure your instructor has signed everything. You must complete the course within one year from signing up, an administration fee is charged, if an extension is requested. • No refunds given for non-completion of courses or cancellation due to personal reasons. • Please ensure you READ ALL the TERMS & CONDITIONS carefully, before signing for the course. • Please arrive 10 minutes before classes and pool sessions, 15-20 minutes before beach dives, if you are 10 minutes late, your sessions will be re-scheduled & administration fee charged. Physical: For safety, all students complete a brief scuba medical questionnaire that asks about medical conditions that could be a problem while diving. I have attached the Medical Questionnaire please answer with YES or NO. If you have replied Yes to any of the questions, as a safety precaution, your physician must assess the condition as it relates to diving and sign a medical form that confirms that you are fit to dive.
