This spring we are launching our Spring Camps at Al Boom Diving! The camp is available for the ages of 8 to 18 years old, and gives young people in this age group to participate in watersports and scuba diving activities with others of a similar age. The camps will run from Al Boom Atlantis Dive Centre, The Palm, Dubai over 5 days from 9:30am – 5:30pm, and consist of watersports and diving activities depending on age and desired program. The final day for students above 10+ will complete their dive at our Al Boom Dive Centre in Fujairah. (transports provided).
Ages and activities for diving Ages 8+:
PADI Seal Team / Master Seal Team Children get the opportunity to experience scuba diving in the safety of a pool while completing exciting and fun AquaMissions. Young divers are introduced to the basics through to navigation, environmental awareness and much more.
Ages 10-14:
Junior Open Water Young people learn the how to become certified PADI Junior Open Water divers within specific age and depth limitations for their safety. • 10-11 years old must dive with PADI Professional or certified guardian/parent. Maximum depth of 12 metres. • 12-14 years old must dive with a certified adult. Junior Advanced Open Water Young divers continue their adventure and build their skills with a few limitations. • 10-11 years old must not dive deeper than 12 metres(no Deep dive). Must dive with a PADI Professional or certified guardian/parent. Complete 3 Adventure dives to become a Junior Adventure Diver. • 12-14 years old can dive to a maximum of 21 metres. Must dive with a certified adult. Complete 5 Adventure dives including Navigation and Deep to become a Junior Advanced Open Water Diver.
Ages 12-14:
Junior Rescue Diver (must have at least Adventure Diver certification) Young divers will rise to challenges and learn how to master them, becoming an all round safer diver in diving and non-diving situations! Included in this course will be the Emergency First Responder(EFR course), which is a dive-based First Aid and CPR course that will benefit in everyday situations.
Ages 15-18:
Open Water Diver Introducers new divers to the adventurous diving lifestyle. • Dive up to 18 metres deep. • Dive anywhere in the world independently with a certified buddy.
Advanced Open Water Diver
Continue your diving education, confidence and experience and build your scuba skills so you become more comfortable in the water. • Complete 5 Adventure Dives including Navigation & Deep Dives • Dive up to 30 metres.
Rescue Diver
A “challenging” and “rewarding” course that will transform you into a safer diver for you and whoever you dive with! • Must complete EFR course(included in summer Rescue Diver camp), or have a valid First Aid qualification done in the past 24 months). • Must have at least an Adventure Diver certification.
Junior Open Water spring Break & Open Water spring Break: 2130 AED day 1: Watersport - Banana Boat Ride and Kayak relay race (teams)
Banana ride: Enjoy the thrills and spills on an ever-popular banana ride. Go on, challenge the driver and see if you can stay dry! Double Trouble Kayak relay: Team of 2 relay, with 1st partner doing most of the job being blindfolded and paddling at the back whilst front partner being the captain in charge and guiding the way to finish line.
Diving - Theory 1&2&3 , equipment assembly and water stamina.
You will start learning about the theory of scuba diving, how to setup the equipment and complete some basic swimming tests to prepare you for the underwater world! Swim tests include: 10 minute float, and 200m swim.
day 2: Watersport - Great Big Mable Boat Ride and Kayak relay race - semi final (teams) Diving - Pool 1/2/3, Your pool training will begin with learning the basics of using the equipment underwater, and practise many skills that will make you a great and safe diver!
day 3: Watersport - Scenic Boat Cruise and Kayak relay race - final (teams) Diving - Theory 4&5 and final exam, pool 4&5
Here you will complete your final part of the theory where you will learn how to plan your dives and dive your plans safely, this will be followed by the Open Water Final exam. After theory is complete, you will jump into the pool to finish off the last part of your pool training.... next step, into the sea!!!
day 4: Diving - Open water 1&2 with project AWARE Reef Conservation.
Now for the adventure of your first 2 open water diving in the sea! You will practise the skills that you learnt in the pool and use them in the ocean. We will also teach you about reef conservation with Project AWARE, so you can understand and help preserve this amazing environment!
day 5: Diving - Open water 3&4 with project AWARE Reef Conservation.
Final day of your course means that you will be officially a PADI Junior Open Water Diver after your last 2 open water dives!
Junior Advanced & Advanced Open Water Diver spring Break: 1795 AED day 1: Watersport - Banana Boat Ride and Kayak relay race (teams)

Diving - Peak Performance Buoyancy(PPB) dive.
Fine tune your buoyancy in this dive to become more efficient when diving!
day 2: Watersport - Great Big Mable Boat Ride and Kayak relay race - semi final (teams) Diving - Underwater Naturalist dive.
Discover the different relationships between aquatic plant and animal life, and how they interact with each other and the environment.
day 3: Watersport - Scenic Boat Cruise and Kayak relay race - final (teams) Diving - Fish Identification dive with AWARE Reef Conservation.
Learn fish identification basics and become informed about the worlds coral reefs.
day 4: Diving - Underwater Navigation dive.
Become the diver that everyone wants to follow and improve your underwater sense of direction!
day 5: Diving - Deep dive for max 21m (for 12 years old).
Learn how to safely dive deeper and explore more of the underwater world!

Diving - Emergency First Response
First Aid and CPR are good skills for anyone to have, especially when involved in adventure sports.
Day 2: Watersport - Great Big Mable Boat Ride and Kayak relay race - semi final (teams) Diving - Emergency First Response
Complete the practical assessments and final exam.
Day 3: Watersport - Scenic Boat Cruise and Kayak relay race - final (teams) Diving -Rescue video and knowledge Reviews
Watch the videos and go through all the important theory of becoming a PADI Rescue Diver.
Day 4: Diving - Pool training (exercises 1 to 10)
Practise different rescue skills and scenarios in the pool before going into open water.
Day 5: Diving - Open water Final scenarios 1&2
Rise to the challenge of applying all your new life saving skills in open water “realistic� scenarios!
