Editorial Welcome to the Integrate 2010 Show Guide! Just like Integrate 09 we’ve published our Show Guide well ahead of time to ensure you get a chance to properly plan your show. In these pages you’ll find details on all the exhibitors as well as our Integrate education program. As you’ll discover, this year’s program is, once again, chock-o-block. Cisco Keynote Topping off a great day of cutting edge AV is Peter Wynne Hughes, Cisco’s General Manager Communications & Collaboration for Australia & NZ, who will spell out the global giant’s video vision and strategy. Video is transforming the way the world manages business, communicate and collaborate. ALIA Lighting Seminars The Australasian Lighting Industry Association (ALIA) seminars offer opportunities for everyone with an interest in lighting to find out more about the art, craft and technologies of lighting, at very little cost. They are roughly divided into two categories: First steps in lighting and Beyond the basics. The category names are pretty self-explanatory, but just in case you’re unsure, here’s an overview. First steps sessions are for those just getting involved in lighting, but some basic knowledge is required, while Beyond the basics are for those who’ve already got their hands dirty. Lighting 101 If you’re new to lighting then the Lighting 101 session is a great way to get started. This seminar offers a brief tour of the basics, some insights into what lighting can do, and how you can use lighting in production and performance. Lighting Systems Technology 101 So you want to work in lighting? How do you put together a large lighting system? This session is based on the System Technician Seminar provided by lighting production and rental company, Resolution X, for its own crews. It covers the role of the lighting system technician and how to put together a lighting system in a professional manner. The concept of system design applies to concert touring, theatre, television, corporate events – basically anywhere large lighting systems are in use.
