CASING SCRAPER ( 7” 23-29#) The Casing Scraper is designed to provide 100% scraping coverage when cleaning the inner walls of well casings and liners. The “Tough Boy” can remove film, cement cakes, mud cakes, shot burrs, or any type of scaly material. Casing Scraper has been in service since 1981. Our customers continue to be impressed by the “Tough Boy”’s reliability, versatility, minimum upkeep, and the excellent results provided time after time. provides the industry with a NEW concept of wall cleaning. The “Tough Boy” features heavyduty construction and easy on-site assembly and maintenance. The new 45-degree blade angle provides 100% scraping coverage and excellent results when run behind a bit or mill

MAGNET TOOL ( 7” 23 – 29 # ) “Super Strong” Magnet Tool is high temperature resistant and creates a magnetic field designed to optimize the capture of ferrous particles. A non-rotating stabilizer centers the tool in the well bore and enables extended rotation and reciprocation. A simple and easy cleaning method allows for its use on multiple trips.

BRUSH TOOL ( 7” 23-29#) Now the “Tough Boy” scraper can be fitted with brushes to complete the cleaning process. The “Tough Boy” scraper and the brush tool can be run simultaneously. It is still possible to both reciprocate and rotate with this arrangement. Plenty of room for bypassing cuttings is still available with both the scraper and the brush. Same “Tough Boy” toughness, but with brushes and/or blades. Same reliability and service.

WASTE RETRIEVER TOOL (7 23 – 29 # ) Waste Retrievers are a special Type of Junk Basket used to capture solids and debris and remove them from the Well Bore. Waste Retriever baskets have 14 U.S. gallon, 10 U.S. gallon, and 4 U.S. gallon capacities respectively. A series of Venturi Jets (patent pending) manipulate fluid flow to assist solids capture in fluid flows with low annular velocity.

BITS FOR REMEDIAL OR RE-ENTRY OPERATIONS Varel’s classic open bearing steel teeth bits for remedial, re-entry, and water well applications. All bits incorporate open throat hydraulics and can accommodate either regular through string flow or reverse circulation which is frequently used to re-enter wells. L2, L1, and LH1 are offered from softest to hardest of the cutting structure applica¬tions. APPLICATIONS Workover bits can be used for drilling cement, drilling composites, drilling plugs, paraffin clean out, scale clean out, thru tubing opera¬tions, coiled tubing operations, and drill ahead re-entries. Water well drilling. HDD drilling.

FEATURES / BENEFITS Forged steel teeth cutting structures provide stronger more impact resistant teeth when compared to milled teeth because the forged metal teeth grain structure is preserved in the teeth. Teeth hardfacing processes are continually monitored and updated to ensure the highest quality hardfacing deposits with regular test¬ing of product and welders. Advanced materials and manufacturing tech¬niques result in oilfield grade quality workover bits. Skirted bits are available as an option for reverse circulation applications. Drill bit skirts are added between the bit legs with the inten¬tion of directing fluid to the bottom of the hole to pick up cuttings off bottom before turning and exiting through the center of the bit.

B20/B105/B110/B120 HYDRAULIC SETTING TOOL PRODUCT 10-270 AND 10-271 The TechWest B Setting Tools are pressure activated setting tools ran on jointed tubing, coiled tubing or drill pipe. It is used to set packers which are normally set on wireline or hydraulically. The TechWest B Setting Tool uses a bottom connection identical to the Baker E-4 wireline setting tools. It is standard equipped with three (3) pistons and is designed so additional piston sections may be added to lower the necessary setting pressure. To prevent possible tubing collapse, the B Setting Tool setting tool is often ran in series with the TechWest Auto Flow Sub (10-274). The Auto Flow Sub has ports to allow fluid to enter the tubing while running in hole. A ball drop shifts the ports closed prior to activating the Setting Tool. For small-bore OD (thru-tubing applications), the TechWest B105 tool is recommended as it is filled with hydraulic oil providing additional setting force. For large-bore OD the TechWest B20 setting tool is recommended. OPERATION This Setting Tool uses the same adapters for running as are used with a Baker E-4 Wireline Setting Tool. The B Setting Tool is run into the desired setting depth and the ball is dropped to the ball seat in the tool (when used on Coiled Tubing the ball is ran in place). Sufficient pressure is applied to set and pack off the packer. The pressure, or combination of RETRIEVABLE pressure and tubing tension, then shears the Shear Stud or Ring, freeing BRIDGE PLUGS RETRIEVABLE the Setting Assembly from the packer. The Setting Tool will automatically BRIDGE PLUGS drain the Tubing String as it is being pulled. RAMCHARGER SETTING TOOL PRODUCT 10-064 The Ramcharger Setting Tool is used to run and set Cement Retainers and Bridge Plugs on tubing or drill pipe. In addition to its setting function, the Ramcharger functions as a Snap Latch Seal Unit after setting a Cement Retainer. When used to run a tubing set Bridge Plug, the bottom sub and seal of the Ramcharger is replaced with a cap. The Ramcharger features a Drag Block Assembly that are superior in reliability compared to alternative Bow Springs. OPERATION At setting depth, rotate the tubing 10 turns to the right, releasing the top slips. Pull tension to set the slips. Additional tension will set and pack off the Cement Retainer. Slack off an equivalent amount of weight and repeat pulling tension to ensure the Retainer/Bridge Plug is securely and fully set. To release from the Cement Retainer, pick up to close the valve, and while holding slight tension apply 300 to 400 ft/lb of right hand torque to the tubing to shear the rotational lock screws. The latch is disengaged from the retainer with 8 to 10 right hand turns. An alternate method is to rotate 4 to 5 turns to the right and pick up, approximately 10,000 lbs. over tubing weight which allows the Snap Latch to snap out of the retainer. PERMANENT

After releasing, the Ramcharger can be re-latched set down weight and removed with approx. 10,000 lbs. tension.

SNAP LATCH SEAL UNIT PRODUCT 10-065 The TechWest Snap Latch Seal Unit is designed for use with the Wireline set Model W Cement Retainer (Product 20-139). It provides positive control of the Cement Retainer Valve, while effectively anchoring and sealing the tubing in the retainer. The top sub of the Snap Latch Seal Unit acts as a centralizer to ensure the Snap Latch will locate into the retainer bore - even in deviated wells. OPERATION When the Snap Latch Seal Unit enters the retainer, the bottom Shifter Sub pushes the Retainer Valve open. At the same time the Snap Latch Collet collapses into and engages the latch threads in the top of the retainer, thereby anchoring the tubing to the retainer. The Snap Latch Collet on the Seal Unit is free to move up or down 76mm (3) on the mandrel, allowing the Retainer Valve to be opened or closed while the Snap Latch Seal Unit is still locked and sealed into the retainer. This feature also allows for pressure testing the tubing string before squeezing. Picking up will close the valve and moving down opens it. To release the Seal Unit from the retainer it is necessary to pull approximately 4,500 daN (10,000 lbs.) over string weight. The force PERMANENT required to do this will decrease after repeated usage until it stabilizes at AND DRILLABLE approximately 2,000 daN (5,000 lbs.) force over string weight. BOTIL MODEL “BP-2” SET DOWN UNLOADER SUB Product No. BI 675-06 DESCRIPTION & APPLICATION The BOTIL Model “BP-2” Set Down Unloading Sub is used to equalize tubing annulus pressure when using a set down packer. A face type seal prevents communication between the tubing and annulus when the sub is in closed position; the sub is held open or closed by collet fingers. Since the sub is essentially pressure balanced, normal set down weight required for operation of the tool run below the sub is sufficient to maintain closed position when run with the proper size tubing.

MODEL “BC-1” FULL-BORE RETRIEVABLE CEMENTER Product No. BI 410-01 This is a squeeze Packer with a full bore, used for pressurising operations such as casing testing, formation fracturing, squeeze cementing and highpressure acidising with subsequent testing. It is particularly useful when set-down weight is limited. It is run with the Model BR Up-strain Unloading Sub (Product No. BI 675-05) to allow equalisation of Tubing and annulus pressure. The running-in string may be tested with the Model BN Full Bore Tubing Tester (Product No. BI 672-01).

RTTS® SAFETY JOINT THE RELIABLE SOLUTION FOR CONTINGENCY STRING RECOVERY The RTTS® safety joint is a recommended backoff device that helps prevent unintentional operations. In the event that the lower string becomes stuck during operations, the safety joint will release the workstring and tools. FEATURES AND BENEFITS • Positive sequence of operation helps prevent premature release • Tools above the safety joint can be retrieved when string is stuck, preventing tools from being lost in the well, sidetracked or redrilled OPERATION The RTTS safety joint is run immediately above the RTTS packer to allow for optimized recovery of the workstring. Before the safety joint can be used, a tension sleeve located on the bottom of the lug mandrel must first be parted by pulling up on the workstring. This tension sleeve must be considered whenever additional tools or workstring is run below the packer. Excessive weight can cause unexpected parting of this sleeve during the tool make up process. After the tension sleeve has parted, the safety joint is released by righthand torque, while the workstring is reciprocated a specified number of cycles. By incorporating the RTTS safety joint in your workstring, you can help ensure that even if your bottomhole assembly becomes stuck in the well, it can be recovered safely and efficiently with minimum downtime.
