Awarded with the “First Honourable Mention in the Panamerican Biennale of Architecture,” this project stands as a testament to urban innovation, aiming to improve safety and promote cohesive urban planning by facilitating interaction between urban spaces. Drawing inspiration from ancient reverence for natural environments, the concept of the ludic interstitium embodies the dynamic interface between two realms: the built and the unbuilt. Celebrated for its innovative and intricate approach, this concept encapsulates the essence of urban and landscape development. Through the seamless integration of five structures serving as thresholds for residents and visitors alike, the project breathes new life into neglected spaces while nurturing a profound sense of community and connectivity within the urban landscape.

In architectural design, using diagrams is essential for effectively delivering and presenting projects. Choosing the right colors in these diagrams is crucial for accurately conveying information. Whether we’re highlighting structural elements or circulation pathways, color selection must align with the project’s goals. It’s also important to find the right balance between complexity and simplicity. Sometimes, a minimalist approach can communicate the design’s essence more effectively than a complex diagram. Additionally, understanding how clients perceive these visualizations is key. By anticipating their perspective, we can tailor the information to streamline communication and avoid unnecessary discussions. Ultimately, diagram visualization acts as a bridge between concept and comprehension, facilitating clear communication throughout the architectural process.

3D visualization serves as a crucial tool in the field of architectural design for swiftly presenting clients with a clear picture of how a space or building will look. Through my exploration of 360 rendering, I’ve elevated this experience, enabling individuals to immerse themselves fully in the envisioned environment. With the abundance of rendering tools available, it’s vital to strike a careful balance. This involves skillfully managing lighting, selecting appropriate colors, and choosing materials that align with the project’s vision, including lighting fixtures, casework selection, and proposed interior features. While attention to detail is essential, it must always be grounded in the project’s scope and budgetary considerations. By harnessing the power of 3D visualization effectively, we not only offer clients a glimpse into their future spaces but also ensure that their expectations are met within practical parameters.

As architects, part of our role is to consider the impact and resource consumption that new buildings will have on the environment. One effective way to minimize this impact is by focusing on energy consumption through the use of passive strategies and conducting tests using specialized tools to anticipate potential strategies. Predesign, for instance, proves invaluable during schematic design and design development phases, offering insights into passive strategies tailored to the project’s location. Tools like Lightstanza and Climate Studio are equally essential, providing information on glare and areas where optimization of natural light is possible. Additionally, Cove. tool emerges as a particularly useful resource, not only highlighting glare and daylight results but also offering valuable data to refine and enhance our building’s energy efficiency based on factors such as location and orientation. To successfully deliver a project, maintaining consistent and standardized communication with consultants and engineers is paramount. BIM (Building Information Modeling) stands out as a valuable tool in this regard, facilitating project submissions by ensuring compatibility with various operating system software tools utilized by construction stakeholders. While initially, navigating BIM systems may entail a learning curve, the benefit lies in centralizing all project information in one accessible location. From structural features to finish schedules, BIM serves as a comprehensive repository. Personally, I prioritize maintaining cleanliness within the Revit file from the project’s inception, periodically reviewing to ensure that all elements remain in place. This meticulous approach ensures seamless collaboration and contributes significantly to the project’s successful submission.
